«El hotel se ve peor que en las fotos. El edificio principal podría estar mejor, pero las habitaciones anexas están muy deterioradas. La vista desde la ventana da a un balcón descascarillado con aire acondicionado y a las ventanas de otra habitación, pero, claro, ahí está el mar. Conseguí esta habitación con un gran descuento, así que no tengo ninguna queja. El onsen de la azotea es pequeño y está lejos del borde (no como en la foto). El desayuno y la cena son tipo buffet. Muy variados y deliciosos, principalmente cocina japonesa. El restaurante no está abarrotado, a pesar de la gran cantidad de clientes. Convenientemente ubicado cerca de la estación de Beppu. El hotel está en el malecón, así que es agradable sentarse en la orilla por las noches y contemplar el mar. El hotel tiene una planta entera con salas de juegos, máquinas recreativas, manga y sillones de masaje.»

«We stayed here as a couple and loved every moment. The room was clean, beautifully designed, and felt relaxing as soon as we walked in. After enjoying the private onsen bath made of wood and stone, we watched a movie on the projector while lying on the tatami, which felt so cozy and special. The amenities were carefully selected and felt high-quality, adding to the relaxing stay. You can tell the host cares about every detail. If you want authentic Japanese experience with your partner, this place is a perfect choice.»

This is our 2nd time to stay at this hotel. ANA intercontinental Beppu maintains its quality standard. The room is clean and comfortable with good view. The restaurants offer the delicious food. The outdoor onsen facility provides the beautiful ocean view. In the meanwhile, their SPA is nearly the best treatment which we have experienced. This hotel is highly recommended for the stay when you visit Beppu.

What an amazing place! We had a wonderful time “glamping” at the Grand Verde Resort. From first being greeted upon check in till our departure the attention to detail and hospitality were top notch! We especially loved the delicious breakfast and dinner spread, the Public Bath, and sauna, and the hobbit houses. The gorgeous views from our yurt in the mountains were breathtaking and we were able to see millions of stars at night on the clear evenings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars!!! Highly recommend this place for your next getaway!

The room and the Onsen were EXACTLY like those in the listing and were absolutely stunning! The breakfast was delicious and the range more than adequate. The location is good if you drive but is about 1km walk to Beppu Tower and a bit more from the night street. But I’d happily trade that for the spacious room and the wonderful sea and sunrise view.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights here in late May 2026. And wow - this place is super impressive! This was by far the best hotel / resort we’ve stayed at during our Japan trip (nearly 3 months of traveling central and southern Japan). The rooms are spacious, extremely clean, luxurious. You have your own private indoor onsen, outdoor onsen, cold plunge tub, sauna and if in the summer, your own private pool. You have a full size kitchen, full western style living room with a TV, full Japanese style living room, multiple toilets and a beautiful bathroom. And a beautiful view overlooking Beppu below! The food is absolutely delicious. The staff and their service are professional, knowledgeable and very welcoming. It’s close to the 7 hells of Beppu attractions so it makes for an easy day trip too. And if you’re looking for a public onsen experience, its sister property is a 5 minute walk from this resort. It’s a newer establishment without many reviews yet, but take my word for it, you won’t be disappointed. We truly loved our stay here and we will definitely be back.

Very satisfied with our stay. Room is abit small as the room was constructed out of a container but they still managed to pack everything nicely into the room. Location may not be ideal for travellers relying on public transport but no issue if you’re driving as there are parking lots available for hotel guests in front of the hotel. Love the amenities provided (full range of Pola products and Refa hair dryer!) They even provide a Balmuda kettle. As hotel is located within a park, there is no security fencing. There is a main gate where hotel guests need to scan their card to enter hotel premise but public can easily walk over the slightly raised flower bed to enter the hotel premise even without the need to enter via the main gate. Such setup is only possible in Japan where security is not a major issue and known for being a safe country but we’ll be concerned if this is in another country. There is also no shelter from hotel rooms to the parking area so managing luggage during rainy days will be challenging. But overall we love our stay at this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bettei Haruki. All their staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. We loved the private onsen in our room. The only negative point, if we have to mention one, is the toilet, which had a strange smell hanging around all the time.

Ubicado en el tercer piso de la Torre Beppu, a unos 10-15 minutos a pie de la estación Beppu, es muy fácil de encontrar. Hay farmacias, restaurantes de comida rápida y tiendas de conveniencia cerca, así que no tendrás que preocuparte por la comida, las bebidas o el entretenimiento. Es un hotel cápsula relativamente nuevo. Hay una zona separada para mujeres; el nivel de ruido depende mucho de los demás huéspedes, es bastante impredecible. Los baños y las duchas están fuera de la zona de descanso. Cada persona tiene una taquilla privada y se proporcionan toallas y zapatillas.

Nice hotel. Although a bit old, it is very clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary facilities. The onsen was fantastic—great temperature, nice room, and very convenient to enjoy. Breakfast buffet was excellent with good amount of variation and it's warmly flavored. The sea view from breakfast venue was beautiful.

We booked 2 rooms with family of 7. The room itself was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the projector in room was in Japanese and we can't use. Another thing to note if travelling with elderly or young kids, remember to ensure you have a ground level room as there's no lift. Another con is you need to carry your luggage from car park to check in reception which is tedious if your luggage is heavy. The wet weather make it worse. The nearest onsen in Hell of Beppu is difficult to book and don't accept reservations for family bath. Guests do not have any privilege too. We tried going 3 times and gave up.
