I had the most amazing stay at this hotel. I was only there for one night as this was a stop over for my travel to Nice, France. However, myself and my sibling had the best room, with the most draw dropping view of the Eiffel. The indoor pool on the lower level was also a bonus as Paris was experiencing a heat wave. It was the perfect amenity to relax in during the hot weather. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Troccadero vicinity.

The location was very good as it is a short walk to the Eiffel Tower and lots of restaurants. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful. The hotel itself is a bit old but has a nice traditional Parisian charm. The room layout is very small and the bathtub/shower is elevated high above the floor meaning it can be a dangerous when stepping out when it is wet.

Overall it was a good stay for a very affordable price in a prime location.

Generally, the hotel was nice. Good facilities and easy access, 10m from the Gare du nord and Gare de East on foot. I started to think that Awesome breakfast is Mercure thing. Since I had stayed 2 Mercure and both of them offered similar, and terrific breakfast. The hotel is very cost-effective. I'd recommend to my coworkers.

My stay at this hotel was a pleasant one - the service was friendly and sincere from front desk staff to the cleaning staff whom I had the opportunity to interact with. The room is cosy but on the small/compact side. A balcony with a tea table and chaise lounge extends the living space although opening the sliding door to the balcony will diminish the effect of the air conditioning. It was very hot when I visited Singapore and I was thankful for the free flow of ice cream and good air conditioning in the room. I also found the mattress very comfortable. The downside about the room allocated to me is that it faces a fairly busy main road and traffic noise plus noise from the road construction being carried out outside the hotel during the day had to be shut out by closing the sliding door all the time. Also, if you have a large vehicle with you, you may not be able to park in the hotel as it has a mechanical automated parking system and height and width restrictions will apply. Although there is an open-air public car park nearby, I recommend using public transportation instead - Little India MRT station is only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Pros:
Beautiful Interior Design: The hotel’s aesthetic is moody, endearingly campy with carefully chosen décor that creates a unique and stylish atmosphere.
Comfortable Bed: The bed was a much-needed haven, providing a ”cloud nine” experience after a long day of walking.
Thoughtful Gesture: The staff prepared a delicious welcome cheesecake for our anniversary, which was a lovely personal touch.

Cons:
Cramped Room Size: For the price, the room was surprisingly small, with barely enough space to open both of our luggage comfortably. Although it was listed as 21 sqm, we had to move carefully to avoid bumping into each other or the furniture.
Limited View: Albeit having a window, the only view we had was the sad block of building across and a patch of fake grass below.
Cleanliness Issues: The shower corners had visible mold, which was disappointing for a Marriott subsidiary.
Noisy Area: There was a significant amount of construction nearby, which walking to and from the metro a bit stressful.
Average Service: While service was adequate, it was a bit impersonal. We had warmer welcomes from serviced apartments and 3-star hotels.
Distance to Public Transport: The nearest metro station was an 8-10 minute walk away, which can feel lengthy when carrying luggage or in inclement weather.

Overall, aesthetics took precedence over functionality in The Vagabond Club. For the price, we probably wouldn't stay here again and would look for alternatives which provide a more comprehensive service tailored to the everyday needs of the average traveler—especially those who require ample wall hooks and prioritize functional accommodations.
