The hotel is beautifully situated in the heart of Playa del Carmen. The staff is friendly and polite, making you feel welcome. There are several restaurants and a good variety of drinks and food. Unfortunately, the area isn’t safe—my bag was stolen, and we also witnessed a very serious car accident with fatalities. The hotel itself is great, but due to the safety concerns, I wouldn’t return to Cancun/Playa del Carmen.

Este hotel está perfectamente ubicado a una cuadra de la ***** principal. Puedes escuchar la música de los bares cercanos, pero eso no me molestó, es lo que se espera en un lugar como este. Al registrarte te dan un control remoto de la televisión y te dicen que no muevas el termostato. El aire acondicionado estaba arreglado para funcionar toda la noche y no tenía una función automática, por lo que hacía que las noches fueran extremadamente frías. La razón por la que bajé la calificación es el servicio al cliente. Solo te dan dos toallas y no había ninguna toalla de mano. Intenté llamar a la recepción pero nadie respondió las 6 veces que llamé. Tuve que bajar y tomar uno yo mismo, donde me pidieron que lo firmara. No es gran cosa. Sin embargo, al día siguiente el servicio de limpieza tomó esta toalla y nunca la reemplazó. Espero que no me cobren por una toalla de mano pequeña.

We stayed at the Viva Azteca Hotel for 7 days to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we entered our room, the small gestures made for our anniversary made us very happy. All the staff members are smiling and doing their best to ensure you have a relaxing holiday. The resort has a perfect beach. However, the sea was very wavy and covered with sea plants. The food and evening shows were very good. There are plenty of places to visit around the hotel. It is also within walking distance to the 5th Avenue in the center. As a result, we had a wonderful holiday. Thank you Viva Azteca, you brought color to our lives.

Buena ubicacion. Esta cerca de la 5ta avenida y la playa. Me encantó el resort y la naturaleza. Fue encantador y acogedor. Pero había hormigas en el baño y la paja se cayó a causa de la palapa. No hay nevera en la habitación. Disfrutamos del desayuno y la cena. Todo el personal es amable y simpático. Especialmente Rogelio fue muy amable y agradable.

Aunque es un centro, me parece que la visita es un poco mala. El personal del hotel y la limpieza son muy buenas. Las instalaciones son las menos numerosas, sólo para lavar el cabello, lavar la ropa y rellenar.

Personally, the music sound from the bar did not inturrupt us because we are used to those noise. But if you need a quiet place to sleep, then the hotel would be the bad choice. They did not have a hair dryer so we should’ve dry hair with A/C🤣 There were some bugs like ants and mosquitos which freaked my partner. But “I” was satisfied about the hotel’s cleanness and in/exterior because it looked quite good. If you like bar, there is a good bar in front of the hotel and also a taco place. Overall, the experience in the hotel was quite good for me and the location was also so good because it’s so close(one block) from the 5th ave.

Excelente recepción, sala grande, pero debe tener cubierta para ingresar al primer piso. Es realmente malo tener que entrar a la habitación bajo la lluvia cuando llueve. Muy buena relación calidad-precio porque la ubicación es excelente.

Era un hotel magnífico. Los recepcionistas fueron muy acogedores y muy atentos a nuestras necesidades. Nuestra habitación la limpiaban todos los días. Fue espléndido. La ubicación es perfecta y la piscina es muy agradable, ni demasiado fría ni demasiado caliente. Perfecto para el clima. Volveré a utilizar este hotel si vuelvo a Playa del Carmen. La relación calidad-precio es inmejorable en una ubicación tan cerca del mar. ¡No entiendo los comentarios negativos sobre este hotel!  En definitiva, uno impecable para nosotros…

The service was nothing short of brilliant! Friendly staff (thank you Sofia and Marisol). Slight issue with the water in our shower in room 201, so we were immediately offered to move to another room 305 with was smaller but sunnier and much better shower . The Housekeeping was wonderful too. The rooms were clean and lovely. Fantastic location. The only thing to keep in mind is that there’s a bar with a live band that plays late into the night, so if you like your peaceful sleep before 2:30 or 3 am then this hotel is not for you! There can also be noise from passers by and street performers. Otherwise, perfect central location on the 5th Avn. near to the player Mamita next to many 4/5 stars hotels. It’s lovely place to stay. Oh also, there is a rooftop little pool with jacuzzi and its perfect for quiet sunbathing too if you don’t like sand
