I am glad I didn’t pay full price ($350/night) for this. Great location and everything looks nice from the outside and the lobby. The room is decent from the looks but once you stay in there, you will realized nothing is working properly. The AC/Heater was not working, the control for the AC/Heater doesn’t work so the AC was blasting cold air all night on NYE!!! So we were both freezing and it was 2am! The TV only have 5 channels and 2 are the same as the other 2, so in reality only 3 channels. The TV quality is also very outdated. Feel like we were watching TV from the 80s/90s when it was the actual 2024 NYE concerts. And on the 5th channel, it is just showing how DirectTV subscription is expired, like what? The Wifi in the room is not free unless you are a Bonvoy member. There was less than a quarter roll of toilet paper on the Tp dispenser and they also didn’t provide a second roll. The body wash pump was empty and the shampoo ran out. The bottom side of the toilet seat looks very filthy as if they haven’t clean that part of the toilet seat in a while. The floor of the bathroom was also very dirty. We usually check if we can ask for a late check-out the night before, but we called the front desk with no answers. When they finally answered, they said we have to call back at 7am to let us know. Ehh Hello? The whole point of getting a late check out is so we can sleep in? So I had to set an alarm to call back at 7am to get a 1pm check out. It was a bit annoying. This was a big disappointment for me because this was supposed to be a nice hotel from Marriott as the Autograph Collection. Especially for $350 a night in the middle of Old Town Alexandria, I had expected better quality. Not to mention the chaos during check-in. Seems like there were only 4 workers there for HUNDReDs of customer. People were angry about being stuck in the parking garage and no one can help them and they gave a lady a room that currently already have someone checked-in. Apparently the lady opened the door when the guy was showering in the room. What a chaos!

En general, le doy a esta estancia 5 estrellas. El personal de recepción fue MUY amable. ¡La ubicación es épica! Si bien actualmente no hay servicio de limpieza debido a covid 19, los encargados de la limpieza venían a la habitación todos los días para dejar los artículos solicitados en la habitación (por ejemplo, toallas de baño de café). El restaurante Hummingbird está abierto y es delicioso. Notas: Estacionamiento disponible en una terraza de la ciudad inmediatamente detrás del hotel por mucho menos dinero que el estacionamiento del hotel. Las paredes del hotel son MUY delgadas - enumeré a mi literalmente podría escuchar las llamadas telefónicas de los vecinos (y ejem… otras actividades).

Morrison House is an delightful boutique hotel, small enough that it feels like a hideaway. The area feels very safe for women traveling alone. There is an adorable courtyard entry with a fountain and double curving steps up to the the door. We stayed at the end of a week in DC, so we each had a large suitcase and a carry-on to haul awkwardly up the steps - maybe stay there when you are traveling more lightly. The front desk staff were adequately friendly. I am not disappointed in the service, but I did not have the outstanding experience that some reviewers have written about. We were upgraded to an Illustrator room, which is a corner room on a high floor. I found the room very clean and in good repair. The mattress was medium firmness and we slept well. The shower had good water pressure. We did not hear any noise from outside. Unfortunately it began to rain shortly after our arrival so we did not get a chance to explore the area. I did go downstairs for a complementary glass of wine. We were there on a Sunday so the restaurant was closed. Be sure to note the square footage of the rooms. They are smaller than average rooms in a 4-star hotel. The room did feel small but I think it was due to the 8-foot ceiling because it did not feel cramped. The air conditioning unit was a bit noisy but like I mentioned above, we did sleep well. Parking is in an underground garage below the hotel. Our vehicle was parked for us but they do not have valet services.

Además, era muy limpio. La ubicación del hotel está en el lado más tranquilo de King Street, que está en línea con increíble comida y compras a lo largo de la caminata hacia el río. No se queda en este hotel. No es seguro. Mi madre, mi hermana, y fui a Alexandria para visitar a mi marido que es activo. Mi madre (93) y mi hermana (71) se quedaron en el Holiday Inn Carlyle, 2460 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, VA 22314 desde 5/5/22-5/7/22. El sábado por la noche, a las 9:00, había un hombre africano y americano en su habitación, que se dirigía hacia ellos y mi hermana le preguntó quién era y cómo lo hizo entrar. Su respuesta fue que pensó que era la habitación de su amigo y les mostró que su tarjeta clave funcionó y dijo que iba a la mesa delantera para que esto fuera rectificado. Nada fue robado de la madre y de la hermana, pero mi hermana dijo que tenía ropa envuelta en su brazo con etiquetas de precio pendientes. Se entendían que se habían agitado. Podrían haber sido asesinados. El hotel se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad, donde se encuentran los niños y los niños. Aparentemente, un ingeniero iba a venir a su habitación también para ver la cerradura clave, pero nunca se presentó. Fue demasiado tarde para mover los hoteles a la hora de que todo esto se hiciera y estaban bien quedarse la noche. La mañana siguiente, los movimos a otro hotel. Llamé de vuelta el lunes por la mañana y hablé con el director general que no tenía idea de que esto ocurriera el sábado. Llamé a la policía y dijo que su personal no siguió el protocolo. Hmmmm te pregunta si el personal estaba en esto y el hombre tenía una llave maestra tal vez o los empleados del escritorio estaban haciendo llaves a las habitaciones que tenían los huéspedes que se quedaban por él. El GM fue muy amable (en primer lugar) y compitó el cuarto por las 3 noches y nos dio bonos de IHG premios como miembro. Lo que me preocupa es 2 meses después (7/22), la policía dijo que el hotel no ha proporcionado ninguna grabación de vídeo. Les llamé de nuevo porque nada se resuelve y se habló con el asistente GM y me dijo en un correo electrónico “la gestión del hotel está trabajando con el Departamento de Policía de la Ciudad local de Alexandria y enviará la foto solicitada por el oficial XXXX, una vez obtenida de un técnico de cámara de seguridad. Todas las actualizaciones o información adicionales vienen del Departamento de Policía de la Ciudad de Alexandria. ” He hablado con la policía la semana pasada (6/27/22) y el hotel no ha proporcionado la imagen de vídeo todavía. He estado intentando conseguir una resolución durante dos meses, así que lo único que puedo hacer ahora es haceros conscientes de esta situación y NO ESTÁ AQUI PARA SU SEGURANCIA. Además, el hotel se desploma y los confortantes tenían pinturas en ellos.

Second time-even better! We chose this hotel again because of its proximity to the Metro and Old Town. It was a win-win on both accounts. We loved walking around the area and eating locally plus we loved having easy access to DC for the museums etc. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large desk for the bit of work we needed to do. The Wi-Fi was free but I had trouble with it using AT&T but my partner has Verizon and had no issues. I did love the digital key on the app. It didn’t work a couple of times as my Wi-Fi was iffy at times in and near the room. We went to the diner next door for more reasonable breakfast prices.

La primera vez que me quedé en un hotel que no tenía más galletas disponibles en el escritorio delantero, me dijo que podía comprobar el cambio de turno a las 11:00 y preguntar de nuevo. Le dije que no me parecía que la nueva persona que se mudaría tuviera acceso a las piernas y ella no? Entonces ella la volvió a mí y me fui. La mañana siguiente le dije a la persona del escritorio y pidió una reducción en mi cuenta. El Sr. Major no ha podido autorizar eso, pero me llamaría el gerente.
