The service in the hotel was disappointing. The restaurants were incredibly slow. We wanted to grab a drink and share appetizers at the Belvedere Lobby Bar, but they appeared to have one bartender. It took 20 minutes between ordering and get our first drink. We ate breakfast in Old Hickory the next morning. It took 10 minutes before a hostess even came up to acknowledge us. Once seated, we ordered immediately, but it took 15 minutes to be served coffee and 30 minutes to get our food. The food was delicious, but expensive.
We also had a problem at check-in. When we were checking in, the desk associate (not sure if their title) mentioned to me that it looked like I already checked in online. I said, “No, I haven’t done anything since I booked it.” He said, “No, you must have already checked in online.” We both said that was weird because I had not. He checked me in and gave me room keys. When we opened the door and walked into our room we were surprised to find someone else already in the room laying in the bed watching TV. That was uncomfortable for everyone. We went back to the desk, they apologized, and assigned us a new room, which thankfully was not occupied by anyone else.
The hotel room was nice and was decorated for Christmas, which was nice. We missed our window to see the ice show because of how long breakfast took. They let us use the tickets but we ran out of time based on the rest of our schedule.
