Me and my partner have just returned from a long weekend stay and we were beyond excited for our trip. We had booked a private pool room as it was our anniversary and we thought that it would be a nice touch for us. When we checked in, we were given our room number and shown to our room. Once me and my partner stepped outside onto the terrace, we noticed that we had been given a sharing pool room and not the private pool room that we had booked. I went down by myself to speak to the man on reception to explain that we were not in the room we had booked and being an ex travel agent and someone who is currently working for a huge holiday company, I knew that this was not correct. The man on reception said to me that there was nothing he could do about it and insisted that the room we had been given, the sharing pool room, was more expensive and therefore better. When I returned to the room, I searched up both rooms on the website to find out that both rooms were in fact the same price and I was a little frustrated with the way the man had spoken to me. Me and my partner then went back to reception and when I was asking the man questions, he was answering them but looking at my boyfriend and not me, the person who was speaking, which both of us found extremely rude. The man could not say why we weren’t given the correct room and why we could not have this room that we had booked. He did however tell us to return to reception the following morning to discuss it then, which we did. The lady we spoke to the following morning was wonderful, she explained to us that it was an error on their end and that someone had been given our room by accident. She apologised profusely and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. We appreciated her honesty and although we weren’t happy with the room change and how we weren’t told prior to finding out ourselves, she did definitely make the situation better with her honesty. One thing I will mention about the sharing pool room is that the pool is not heated like the main pool during October. Having paid more money for this room than a standard room, you would hope that the pool would be treated the same as the main pool. The pool felt like it was as cold as ice and this meant that we rarely used the pool which was once again frustrating. On our final day, our flight home wasn’t until 11pm so we had booked a standard room as we had to check out of our original room at 12 and we wanted somewhere to put all of our belongings and somewhere to shower before the flight. The only thing we noticed about this room was that when we were showering, if you turned the water warmer, the pressure would get worse to the point that if you put the water fully onto hot, the water would quite literally just trickle out. Im not sure if this was an issue with just this room or all of the standard rooms and although it didn’t bother us too much as we were only there for one day, it may have if we were there for longer. La habitación estaba situada en el edificio principal. El hotel estaba muy espacioso con un enorme balón y buena aire acondicionado, pero con baños anticuados. Grandes piscinas y aquapark, pero podrían ser más camas solares. La comida era buena. También había un bar de piscina con algunas snacks y crema de hielo. El vino, la cerveza y las bebidas estaban bien. La cosa era amable. El hotel dispone de una oficina de alquiler de coches, con un buen precio y una gran ayuda. El hotel está bien situado, a 10 minutos en autobús del aeropuerto y a 20 minutos de la antigua ciudad de Rodos. Los aviones que a menudo se acercaban al aeropuerto no estaban molestando y verlos fue una especie de atracción para nosotros. El hotel está muy cerca de la zona de la ciudad, y el hotel está muy cerca de la zona de la ciudad. La isla de Rodos es excelente.

The location is very good and in a central place. Very close to Elli Beach in the city centre, Old Town and city bus stop. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The room is big enough. It has a large wardrobe and drawers on either side of the beds. You can fit your belongings comfortably. Sheets and towels are clean. Balcony is also sufficient. While most hotels' showers are only curtained, here's a shower cabin. The breakfast options are more than enough. The bar part looked nice but we didn't hang out there. There are already markets, bars, etc. around. There is also a pharmacy right next to it. By the way, they also help with renting a car. I definitely recommend it.

Nuestro hijo de 18 años se quedó aquí porque era una opción más barata para él que estaba cerca del hotel que deberíamos haber permanecido. No había visto el apartamento, pero me quedé excelente, porque mi hijo me dijo lo hermosa que era la señora propietario Eleni y cómo limpió su habitación con cuidado cada día. El hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado, y el hotel está muy bien situado. El hotel está situado en una zona de 4 estrellas, a un paseo de 4 estrellas y a unas 5 estrellas. El dueño, Eleni, estaba muy bien con ellos, les dijo dónde estaba el supermercado, les ordenó taxis, les puso agua en el apartamento la primera noche, El hotel es un hotel de 3 estrellas. Aquí hay algunos con vistas al mar, creo y habitaciones más upgraded, pero sólo querían un lugar barato y cariñoso y esto tictó todas las cajas.

Our 4th visit to the 4 star All Inclusive hotel in the past 2 years and again greeted by the happy reception staff who are amazing, nothing too much trouble and always on hand to help and advise . The hotel entrance is open plan with plenty of natural light, bright and spacious – a place to relax adjacent to the modern bar area that has internal / external seating areas The bar is managed by George & Spiros who provide outstanding service tinged with a sense of humour. A place to chill. The large open plan restaurant serves ‘ buffet style food’ with a complete range of meats , salads , fish , desserts etc – so much choice and well cooked. On entry you are always welcomed by the restaurant staff – who provide reassurance that the whole experience will be excellent. Food excellent – the only downside are the current egg products served at breakfast - made in batches and not cooked ‘ individually. Spoken with the management and this is likely to be changed for the next season. Good. Rooms pleasantly large, excellent beds, A/C works well and very quite, shower adequate, plenty of shower gels etc, cleaned daily. A large swimming pool with separate small children’s pool, all set within a landscaped areas which include a tennis & volleyball court , table tennis ,etc You can relax on the comfortable sunbeds or alternatively make use of the free access to the sandy beach for the hotels guests – only 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. This is situated in a small harbour where you can catch a boat trip to Lindos or Rhodes. Plenty of walking possible around the area. Daily entertainment for adults provided which range from stretching exercises to aqua gym to water polo . Highlights are the superb staff ( who all have a smile on their faces).. everyone includes you as ‘ part of their family’ and welcome you with open arms. Cleaning of the rooms / common areas , pool etc are very good The hotel is in a quite location but only 30 mins by local bus to Lindos and 1 hr to Rhodes. Excellent hotel experience and would recommend it... will be back again in the future.

O, la, la. What to say about this wonderful hotel? First of all, we booked a room with a side sea view, and they give us a room with a sea view. The room was a small, but we have everything that we needed. Everything was very clean, and the lady who cleaned our room was so nice and friendly. We didn’t use pool, because it was always busy, but it doesn’t matter to us. Location is good. Everything is close enough. In hotel bar is everyday happy hotel from 20h-21h and that’s amazing. Crew in bar olso amazing. Reception staff olso. And now to move on on my favourite, favourite thing about this hotel-STAFF. (RESTAURANT) They are so welcoming, nice, friendly, good people, opened heart, very pleasant, they are a soul of this hotel, and my fionce and I was so impressed. Hotel manager is very kind, and off course all the team. ( I was crying when we are leaving) We really enjoy here in Semiramis city hotel, and we recommend this hotel very high! … I could say more, but I recommend everyone to visit and to see what I’m talking about. Thank you Semiramis four our wonderful stay. Thank you for amazing crew and the most nicest people we every meet. Love from 🇷🇸

Came to rhodes for the weekend flew out 16-18 paid £81 room only for 2 nights July got a taxi from the airport which cost €17 literally I wouldn’t even bother getting to hotel to arrange transport (u can get a bus from the airport u just need to ask for kremasti and the bus literally stops right outside the hotel make sure u keep an eye on the screen it say maritime which is really helpful) arrived at the hotel had to fill own forms in receptionist speaks really good English u have to pay extra for air con €7 per day the air con was really good and if u wanted breakfast it’s an additional €6 or €7 each can’t remember I paid for the breakfast for the one day to c what it’s like (I’ll get to that in a min) we had room 409 all rooms come with balcony the room is a studio with a double bed which was comfortable u had a little kitchen with a kettle and electric hob fridge which is always handy there was a telly but wasn’t in the room we did try to turn it on but didn’t work (not really bothered to b honest) the bathroom I literally had to LOL when I saw the shower it was terrible the shower curtain didn’t go all the way round and the shower well!! Wasn’t great however it was constant hot water!!! The sink is huge!!! If ur toilet paper roll is by the wall by the shower move it as it will get wet and pop the shower curtain inside the tray otherwise the bathroom will flood other than that!! It was fine!!! The air con works which is brilliant although I got cold at night (if ur from the uk bring a blanket with u) and it’s only got a sheet on the bed!! The pool was lovely small but enough plenty of sun loungers however Mayb more umbrellas r needed there is a pool bar aswell prices for drinks didn’t pay more than €5 for 2 soft drinks the breakfast is served at the pool bar which literally was so minimal didn’t really think much of the breakfast but the staff here r so helpful The hotel is right on the flight path to the airport everyone has said in their reviews it’s noisy especially at night as that’s when most flights arrive so for me I’m happy as I love my planes and aviation so don’t moan that the hotel is noisy because every review states this so if u book it then moan that’s ur issue We went the rhodes town and old town caught the bus the bus stop is opposite the hotel on the other side rhodes is the last bus stop cost €2.50 each literally 30 min bus ride at the hotel they have all the bus time table and easy to work out the bus isn’t on time but that the Greeks for u just wait and it does turn up!!! Coming bck just get to the main bus stop where the bus drops u off get the number 12 to kremasti and look on the screen when they say next stop u need to look out for maritime and the bus stops right outside the hotel!!! Paid €2.30 each to come bck there is a ticket office where u get ur ticket The beach at kremasti is a pebbled beach however once ur in the sea it’s sand at the bottom!! There’s kite surfing as well on the beach theres a lovely warm bre

Nuestra habitación estaba ocupada y nos han hecho esperar más de media hora para un taxi (es probable que todos los taxis los tomen prácticamente) nos han llevado a otro hotel no demasiado lejos, muy bonito con piscina etc la mañana después de que tuvimos que volver la habitación no estaba listo todavía, pero poco después nos pusieron subir, también sería bonito si el baño se había limpiado un poco mejor y los toallas que se cambian cada mañana Por suerte, el personal es cordial y disponible. Sin embargo, le aconsejo que cambie algo de la comida de bufete al menos cada dos días porque después de un poco tienes náuseas porque eres pequeño. Gracias por los intentos de una buena estancia Lección: gastar un poco más y disfrutar de las vacaciones!

Estuve en este hotel solo 3 días y les puedo decir que estuve bien. La habitación estaba limpia y el servicio de limpieza también era genial. El único defecto es que en las habitaciones con ducha, después de tomar una ducha, lamentablemente el agua se fue a todas partes porque no había ducha sino solo una cortina. Por lo demás todo es excelente.

Abbiamo trascorso qui la prima settimana di settembre e ci siamo trovati molto bene. L’hotel è in posizione tranquilla, di fianco al Museo d’arte moderna e a due passi da Elli Beach. La nostra camera, vista mare, era davvero confortevole, con un balconcino dotato di stendipanni (con mollette). Il bagno, in confronto, microscopico, però funzionale per una doccia e via. A ogni piano, c’è un distributore di acqua fresca (in camera c’è una caraffa ad hoc da riempire) oppure calda se ci si vuole preparare una tisana o un tè. Il personale dell’hotel, giovane e dinamico, è davvero gentile: le ragazze della reception sono empatiche, efficienti, simpatiche, propositive (ci hanno fornito idee pratiche su cose da fare e provare, suggerimenti su luoghi da visitare e quando, ecc.) e una di loro parla bene italiano. Anche le signore delle pulizie sono gentilissime: mio marito ha avuto la febbre un paio di giorni e ci hanno cambiato asciugamani e lenzuola tutti i giorni anche se il cambio era previsto ogni due. Un’attenzione che abbiamo gradito molto. Se si vuole, l’hotel fornisce teli mare e, per chi ha il volo tardi, al piano -1 ci sono docce e bagni a disposizione. Qualche mattina ci siamo fermati per colazione (deliziosa) nel loro gastropub che funziona anche per un lunch veloce (buona l’insalata Rhodian Taste), poi diventa pub con cocktail (uno è offerto dall’hotel), drink e snack (da provare la pita rodense con le tre salse). Last but not least, un OTTIMO caffè espresso, sicuramente il migliore mai bevuto all’estero. Al primo piano, l’hotel ha anche uno spazio di coworking, per chi ne abbia necessità. È un hotel che consigliamo vivamente.

Este hotel está situado literalmente a dos minutos a pie de la playa, con bares y restaurantes y es a unos 15 minutos a pie del puerto y la antigua ciudad.Wr se quedó durante 4 noches y puedo decir honestamente que fue un gran hall y nos alegramos de que nos quedamos aquí.Can’t El personal no está bien en la recepción y las novias o la limpieza del hotel en todo el mundo.Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas para una familia, pero sólo nos quedamos allí y tuvimos un balcón decente que incluye sillas de mesa SND y un aire acondicionado para nuestras ropas que era muy util.Las habitaciones tenían con aire libre que funcionaba bien y nos mantuvo frío en la noche.deja tu llave en el interruptor cuando entras en la habitación y se apaga.También si cierras y cerras la puerta de la patio se apaga automáticamente.Encontramos las camas muy cómodas y sería cambiado,con toallas,todos los 3 días.que era bueno para nosotros.La piscina era hermosa y limpia como estaba alrededor de la zona de piscina.Las camas de sol siempre se toman muy temprano,por lo que necesitamos llegar rápidamente si quieren un día de piscina.Nos damos toallas gratis para utilizar la piscina y tuvimos que pagar 5 euros de depósito reembolsable si los llevamos a la playa.No comíamos ni bebíamos en este hotel por lo que no podemos comentar eso.No podemos defectuar este hotel y nos alegramos de que nos quedamos aquí.Después de dos años esperando para viajar y Teniendo que cambiar las reservas varias veces, no nos decepcionó.

Tamaño estándar de habitaciones con accesorios de calidad. Ropa de baño y instalaciones de té/cafete. Caja fuerte y nevera. La piscina es pequeña y muy fría - aunque es sólo el comienzo de la temporada. Ha limitado camas solares alrededor de ella. Es suficiente sol para sentarse alrededor de la tarde aunque las mañanas son muy sombrías. El personal es maravilloso. Así amigable y útil. El personal de la sala de gimnasia también es lindo. Fue tan útil con consejos sobre dónde ir y siempre muy bienvenido. Todo el personal era fab. No podíamos culparlos. Comemos todas las noches como un desperdicio para elección para los bares locales /restaurants cerca. Tenemos cocktails y bebidas en el hotel. Todo era precioso y hermoso. Sentí que la iluminación en el hotel era muy brillante en la noche y sería definitivamente beneficioso bajar las luces para crear un entorno más intimidad. Era tan brillante que a veces se sentía como un salón de aeropuerto, y carecía de un poco de cociencia y calor, todos los cuales se podrían transformar simplemente reduciendo la iluminación para crear un ambiente más agradable en las noches. En general, aunque tuvimos un fabuloso 11 días aquí y nos sentíamos tan bienvenidos. Tui reps también fueron grandes. Siempre en mano y tan amigable y eficiente. Recomiendo este hermoso hotel y todo su hermoso personal sin duda.

I have given this hotel a low star rating based on the lack of air conditioning, not based on the staff, food or other facilities. Please be aware there is no air conditioning inside the hotel except for the bedrooms. There is a heat wave at present which makes the situation even more intolerable. There is a glass roof in the bar/ lounge area which effectively turns the place into a furnace. The reception area is stiffling hot which means there is no comfortable sitting/relaxation area. The beautiful restaurants have no air conditioning which makes the dining experience unbearable in 35 degree heat. Similarly the breakfast room is like an oven with the additional heat coming from the hot food area. I really do not know how staff can work in these conditions. The temperature inside the bar was 34 degrees yesterday. Surely the owners and management can feel this?. I have been to similar four star hotels in the area and all have air conditioning in the lobby and public areas. Could fans or air conditioning units be purchased. ? The bar and lounge are empty at night due to this issue . In relation to the food it is excellent and reasonably prices. All staff are polite and hard working. Special recognition goes to Andreas in the Mexian restaurant who provides exceptional service. We had several meals (sitting outside) and the food was excellent. Similarly the food at the snack kiosk and grill restaurant was excellent. In relation to the rooms the beds are comfortable and there is good air conditioning. The bath rooms are in need of urgent renovation , deep cleaning and updating. The rooms are cleaned each day and fresh towels provided. The pool area is the selling point for this hotel. It is set in tropical gardens and is very beautiful. There is a severe shortage of sun loungers and quite a few rules regarding where you are permitted to sit whilst eating, but generally a pleasant area. Wifi is provided free of charge, but can be unpredictable in terms of strength of signal. Overall this Hotel is good but could be much better with air conditioning and upgraded bathrooms. The staff are an asset to the hotel and work hard to provide excellent customer service. So management please consider providing essential air conditioning for the comfort of paying customers and your loyal staff.

We spent 7 nights at The Olympic Palace Resort on all inclusive basis with our 9 year old son at the end of August. We were greeted by friendly reception staff, who checked us in and took our bags to our room. We found the food was good in all of the restaurants, and there was always a great selection, especially at breakfast (never eaten so much water melon over a sustained period!). Our favourite place to eat lunch was at the place by the main pool area, which served a good buffet selection of salads, hot food, and desserts. Entertainment- we loved going up to the rooftop bar to have sundowners before dinner, and we often went back after food and enjoyed the entertainment put on - which was also very good quality. The hotel has an overall wow factor when you arrive and as you enter the lobby, which seems consistent with a 5 star rating, but sadly the room we had (a superior family sea-facing room) was disappointing and it didn’t tie in with the rest of the beautiful decor of the hotel. Things like: the TV hanging at an odd angle on the wall; the remotes covered in old looking clingfilm; the bathroom toilet with a hairline crack along the front of the cistern; and shoddy grouting and tiles that looked dirty but with closer inspection it was just the design!! Also, the bedroom had low lighting everywhere, a lack of mirrors in sensible places, and a less than impressive balcony. But the view made up for that as it was beautiful. We were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff all the way through our holiday. Joe, in particular, who was one of the reps who helped facilitate the entertainment by the pool, amongst other things, was really excellent - and very generous with him time, including offering to play Nintendo Switch with our 9 year old son which he really loved! Joe was a credit to the whole experience. So overall we had a good time, and for us the bedroom wasn’t a big factor in how much we enjoyed our holiday because we spent most of the time outside somewhere or other!

The hotel is clean and well maintained and the staff are helpful and friendly. We didn't eat in the bar so I can't comment on the food but it looked good and plentiful if a little overpriced! Be aware though that almost EVERYTHING is an extra so budget quite a bit more if you want to use sunbeds, air conditioning or wifi. We didn't as the costs were outrageous. We had a Superior Studio apartment and the beds were very comfortable and the room cleaned daily. We didn't find any of the 'complimentary' toiletries which they advertise although we had a lovely but empty liquid soap dispenser! The shower is really good and would be better if the shower screen had been bigger. They do supply a squeegee for you to remove all the water that sprays all over the bathroom floor. The shower has a fixed head and can't be adjusted and there is a switchable hand shower head for squirting your 'bits'. A good hair dryer is provided. The biggest deal-breaker for us was that in no way was it a fully equipped self-catering apartment. There is NO KETTLE, NO TOASTER and very little of anything else in the way of kitchen equipment. A coffee peculator is provided which is useless (and I stress useless) for making tea. If you want to self-cater, the very reason we booked this hotel, don't bother booking here. You will be very disappointed. If you want to eat out there are many very good restaurants within very short walking distance. You'll be lucky to get breakfast before 10:30 AM though. If you are a light sleeper then think about what it would be like sleeping within one meter of your fridge compressor turning on and off all night long. The balcony is far from private and ours had only a view of an orange tree which was sprayed with chemicals (I assume) every couple of days! It was right next to the walkway to all the other apartments which is great if you want to meet everyone while you're trying to eat your boiled egg and no toast breakfast washed down with lukewarm tea! All in all we had a great time in Rhodes and this hotel could so easily be made to be perfect but sadly I really think they are more interested in taking money than providing a comfortable self-catering holiday experience. Still gave them an above average score though for all the good reasons stated above but we won't be staying there again for all the many bad reasons. Be sure to check out the Royal bar just round the corner. The food is wonderful, the owner and staff are fantastic and the prices reasonable. A bit further on is the San Allotte restaurant which is equally good (maybe better) but more expensive.

We stayed 4 nights here half board in the Superior Suite and had a wonderful experience. The hotel opened in May ‘23 so everything is extremely modern and aesthetic which provides great vibe and atmosphere. More important was the excellent quality of service provided by all the staff here. Particularly from the Cantina restaurant where Chef Nicolas and Restaurant Manager Stefanos were extremely helpful in accommodating our dietary requirements and were able to set us an exquisite menu each day. We can confirm this hotel is vegetarian friendly, just be sure to speak to the chef and management team when you arrive. The hotel reception and bar staff were super helpful; we did not encounter anyone here that wasn’t friendly, welcoming and willing to help. Our favourite aspects of this hotel: - Great vibe, relaxing atmosphere and beautifully decorated - Outdoor gym even includes a reformer Pilates machine - Supermarket next to hotel - Bus stop outside the hotel where you can go to Lindos or Rodos Town for €4 per person. Make sure to ask Reception for the bus timetable to plan your trip. Busses are safe for tourists and really convenient. - Mountain View’s are simply beautiful - there are 2 trail routes to hike this. - Quiet location, about 25 minute walk to Kolymbia town where there are more shops/restaurants - Despite being a 4*, you still get things like Robes/slippers in the room, pool towels, complimentary 1L water everyday, welcome drink on arrival, escorted to room on arrival - Great breakfast options ranging from savoury breakfast options to traditional Greek food. Coffee is fantastic - recommend asking for Iced Freddo Cappuccino! - Can use Casa Cook facilities (eg Gym, Spa) Some aspects for improvement/ to bear in mind: - Room cleaning could be improved when it comes to checking bedsheets/towels etc are clean when provided - We went during the off-season which meant the hotel was very quiet. This wasn’t a problem to us but something to bear in mind - there isn’t any entertainment/ activities for the evening - No private beach access with this hotel but beach is a 5 min walk and you can get 2 sun beds and an umbrella for €10 - In a quiet area which is 25 min walk from Kolymbia main *****. Would have been great if offered to rent bikes/scooters to access this area more quickly Would benefit from more activities eg tennis, mini golf etc

Hotel de dos estrellas y que vale la pena. la habitación no es muy espaciosa pero suficiente no es el gran lujo, pero no es lo que buscamos y la relación calidad-precio nos dio razón. Es cierto que el desayuno no es diferente y la cena le ofrece más variedad de cocina familiar. En primer lugar, la recepción puede parecer fría, pero el jefe siempre está disponible para nuestra solicitud y es de buenas consejos. El hotel está bien mantenido, aunque algunas partes están renovadas. El punto más importante es la situación ideal de este hotel para visitar a todo Rhodes a pie, ir a la playa y ir más lejos las estaciones de autobús no están lejos. Acabamos de pasar una excelente estancia en este hotel.

We stayed in the Sheraton Rhodes in the first week of July (2 adults 2 kids), last minute booking through Voyage Prive (booked Wednesday, flew Saturday). I found all the reviews here helpful in deciding to choose this hotel; here are our own experiences. Overall very happy with the hotel, facilities and service. Hotel rooms - we had guessed the hotel was built in the 70s/80s as the rooms and building itself are quite bland (actually built in 1993). We had Deluxe Sea View interconnecting rooms on 10th floor which suited us perfectly. View is fantastic - you can watch the sun set over the Turkish mountains on the far side. It was €4200 for the week for 2 Deluxe sea view rooms with ‘full board plus’. The minibar only had water and the waters were not replenished at all during the week. This seems almost a regular thing now with even top end hotels and in any case water bottles are 60 cent in the 1st floor minimarket. The king size beds are very nice. The hotel itself is not 5-star equivalent by European major city standards but nor are you paying anywhere near European 5-star prices for your stay. We found the hotel good value for the money. The public interior areas are clean and well-thought out. The lobby and the atrium around Knights bar is lovely. They have a baby grand piano open to anybody to play which is a really nice touch and adds a lot of character to the place. You’ll find kids and grown ups alike playing. There’s a nice mix of many different nationalities with the guests. Pools: 3 outdoor pools, with plenty of sun-loungers and parasols to go around throughout the day. The pool on 6th floor is very quiet and amazingly only ever had 3 or 4 people in it, with loads of space around it; the restrooms and showers here are even marble-tiled. Restaurants: the Castellano restaurant for breakfast and dinner buffet is very good and the staff there are excellent. There is a good mix of fruit / salads / hot food / cereals / breads. We never had to wait more than 2 minutes for a table outside. Non-dairy milks are still clearly not a thing for most people as sometimes these had bits in them, stick to soy milk rather than oat / almond! Themed nights meant sushi, Mediterranean options etc. as well as the usual main buffet selections. Full board +: we had 3 meals plus drinks included for the week which was okay value (about €900 for full board and €200 for drinks). Sheraton could organise this better. You get a paper card with your meal plan written on it which you must show staff every time you sit down for a meal, until they get to know you. Why they don’t just record your meal plan with your room number in the system I don’t know. With so many staff involved in serving drinks / issuing the bills etc, mistakes can happen the odd time. The extra for ‘drinks’ is about the price you would pay anyway, because as we found out on the first day, only one drink (juice, beer or house wine) is included per person. We usually have a lot more than one

Stayed here at the beginning of October as a solo female traveller and had a great stay, where I felt safe and welcomed. I don’t understand the negative reviews, these are family run, authentic Greek apartments and don’t advertise themselves otherwise. Agreed it’s not the Ritz, but you don’t pay Ritz money to stay here 😊. The whole complex is spotless, my room was cleaned every day, towels & bedding changed regularly, and an abundance of toilet rolls left. The staff are great, will just leave you to it, but there if you need them…..perfect. I had an issue with my kettle shorting the electrics which was remedied straight away. I asked for more bedding and was given this without question. I utilised the fridge and cooking facilities in my room every day, and managed to cobble together a few meals. Due to the amount of walking I did, I only used Charlie’s shuttle once during my trip but it’s a great service running at 11am/5pm/8pm. As a Hillside guest, you get 10% off a couple of restaurants near the drop off/pick up site. I had a Gyros meal at Eat Greek which was ok. The pool area is lovely with plenty of loungers and there are towels for you to use which is a nice touch. The walk to a supermarket is 0.7 miles and takes around 12 minutes dependant on ability. They will give you a lift back if you spend over 50 Euros. It is then only a few more minutes walk to the main beach and Faliraki centre. I beach hopped each day with the walk to Anthony Quinn Bay being exactly 3 miles and took around 58 minutes. I can recommend ‘Golden Hands’ for a massage, hotel collection and drop off which was included in the price: full body masssge, 35 Euros. I also went zip lining which was good, again, hotel pick up and drop off included in the 15 Euro price. I had trouble finding a quad biking trip for under 150 Euros but that may be due to end of season limited availability. All in all, a great holiday with lovely weather in the low 30’s and where I felt safe as a solo female traveller. Thank you Hillside, I will definately be back 😊

The hotel has a lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff are very helpful. Our room was changed from a garden view to a part sea view and unfortunately we had the extractor unit from the dining room right outside our balcony. This was noisy during meal times. There was a very loud noise coming from the kitchen below from 8am, it sounded like a loud industrial potato peeler. The maid service was very random as the towels we received each day was a bit of a lottery. They were also very noisy and did not pay enough attention to the servicing of the rooms as they were not kept as clean as I would have expected. The dining room was well serviced and the food was very good. Enjoyed the different themes each night. The only improvement could be to have a drinks station at both ends. We were usually seated very quickly and only had to wait a few minutes. One of the best dining rooms we have experienced. There are two pools; one large encircling a island with seating at the front of the building which was very cold and one smaller rectangular pool at the rear of the hotel that was warmer. We had no problem getting sunbeds at any time of day. Food at the pool was very good with a pizza, kebab, chips and salads at a hot station and cakes, fruit and filled rolls at a cold station. Some noise from the adjacent busy road could be heard. Nightly entertainment was held outside and was quite enjoyable. When we were there there were a lot of smokers and it was difficult to avoid them. The bar inside had different music being played over speakers so it wasn't possible to enjoy the outside entertainment from inside to avoid the smokers. Smoking was not allowed indoors. The hotel has free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach across the road. There is no beach bar so food and drinks need to be collected from the pool area and taken across the busy road. I would recommend using swimming shoes to access the sea due to the pebbles. The sea was warm. There were water sports on the beach. We walked into Rhodes town along the coastal path which was mostly flat. It took us about an hour. When the path passes below the cliff there are steps with a cross above. If you walk up those steps you will find a cave and shrine to St Michael the Archangel who is the patron saint of Rhodes. We visited this twice to light candles and remember close family we have lost. A lovely experience. We did visit nearby bars and could recommend the FBI bar for a warm welcome, lovely drinks (we didn't have food but it looked delicious) and wall to wall TV screens. We enjoyed our holiday and everyone we met in Ixia made us so welcome. The pebbly beach and busy road will put us off returning and if we return to Rhodes we will try to find a quieter area with a sandy beach. The hotel is classed as 4 star but it is not quite up to that standard more 3 star plus.

Esto hace mucho ruido si no estás acostumbrado a ella. No me molestó en absoluto mientras dormí con las orejas, durante el día que vi los aviones de aterrizaje en una playa. El hotel tiene una pequeña piscina pero no la utilicé.

Having frequented a lot of hotels I would compare my stay in July 2023 to a Quality Inn found at motorway services in the UK. Staffing wise they were friendly at the Bar and Waitress, the housekeeping was exemplary and supplied new clean towels daily if you placed them on the floor, she also made the bed and cleaned the floors daily if required. Room, as stated Quality Inn but not as large in the two single beds were given that had the annoying habit of splitting apart. The balcony looked over the garden and car park. Air conditioning is an extra paid up front and electrics are worked by key not a individual card so when you leave the room it switches of supply as room key and electric are on same fob. The poorest part is the small bathroom which is not suitable for disabled or larger occupant. The glass door could not open fully and was ajar as it came in contact with wash hand basin. The shower and WC were divided by a tiled wall and the shower was a hand held and attached to wall when required. It sprayed continually on the floor and the floor was a wet room but was not sloped to the drain to prevent puddles. The drain had no ”S” bend and sewage smells coming from floor and wash hand basin were the result daily. Poor design and building regulations. Access to shower and WC were very very confined and we needed to squeeze past the wash hand basin and dividing wall to get access to WC, my shoulders were near touching both walls. The WC had issues with water pressure and did not clear on first or second flush. Water temperature of Basin or Shower was adequate but lacking in pressure as regards shower. Towels were nice and fresh and fluffy in our experience. If you get bothered by airplanes at all times passing overhead this is not the Hotel for you. Food, this can be split into two parts. The Breakfast supplied was low as it had the same continental selection every day. A good selection of Breads/rolls. The cooked breakfast was luke warm to cold depending on the day and was made up of hotdog sausages or wafer Ham fried. The eggs were cold in no small part to non heaters from above servery, this applied to all hot items to be fair. The Coffee and Tea were let down by Milk or non real milk. The selection of Juice was hampered by being very diluted and not fresh. If dont like presence of cats while you eat this hotel is not for you. The Bar supplied a selection of beverages and the Beer was fine on Draught. The staff were attentive day or nigh and is the greatest part of the positivity of this hotel. Food supplied was basic but had no faults with the snacks supplied. Pool, the common pool is not heated and was adequate. The children pool is not great in size. The children play are is a swing and small Shute. Biggest gripe not enough canopy or umbrellas for occupants and this goes for the adjustable sun loungers but mostly made up with hard plastic ones that are fixed.
