I recently stayed at Desti Youth Park in Xiamen, and overall, it met my expectations nicely. The location is a strong plus – tucked in a convenient part of Siming District, it’s within walking distance to several local attractions, eateries, and even public transportation. Despite being in the city, the hostel maintains a quiet and laid-back vibe, which I appreciated after a full day out exploring. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, suitable for solo travellers like myself. Staff were helpful when needed, and check-in was smooth. The room was clean and comfortable, with basic amenities well taken care of. It’s not a luxury stay, but it delivers what it promises – affordable, functional, and safe accommodation. The common areas were well-maintained and inviting, ideal for catching a breather, planning your day, or having casual chats with fellow travellers. I didn’t use the kitchen or laundry facilities, but they were available and seemed well-organised. One thing I appreciated most was how Desti Youth Park kept things simple but thoughtful. Sometimes, that’s all you really need. Would I stay again? Yes – especially for short trips when you want a balance between comfort, convenience, and affordability.

Es un hostal bastante bueno; es un hostal auténtico, no uno de esos apartamentos de tres habitaciones reformados. Está muy limpio y una señora de la limpieza limpia las zonas comunes. El precio de 50 es razonable. En general, estoy satisfecho. El único inconveniente es que las literas son como las de los colegios, un poco ruidosas y pueden ser un poco molestas si alguien se da la vuelta. Tiene todas las comodidades necesarias, una ubicación excelente y transporte conveniente. Lo recomiendo.

El albergue está situado frente a la estación de tren y metro. Así que es fácil de encontrar y hay muchos restaurantes cerca. Lo que no me gusta es que no hay aseo disponible en la habitación. No puedes mantener los valores con usted y una preocupación de seguridad.

Dongshan Island, una isla adecuada para vacaciones y vacío de su propia isla. Aunque no tiene mucho comida, puede ir al mercado comprar comida y hacer comida que le gusta. Los peces no tienen mucha salchicha, pero hay muchos bacalaos y frescos. Servicio: Puede alquilar autos eléctricos para preguntar dónde está el mercado más cercano. The people who run the place are super lovely and helpful. When I arrived I was welcomed right away with tea and later some snacks. And I got a detailed description of how to get to the nature park, complete with buses and everything, customized to the length of my stay. Even if I can't speak Chinese, the people were super nice and always tried to help. My room was comfy, usually quiet and clean. I had a nice view towards the pond area and while the hostel is located a bit further from the City center, you can go there super quick by taking the bus, where the station is just a short walk from the hostel. The bathroom however was not super clean, but it worked for me and I really enjoyed my stay and even extanded it by two nights. Thank you so much for the great experience! :)

Este albergue es realmente genial! La ubicación es muy buena y viajar es muy cómodo. La habitación estaba limpia y ordenada, y la cama era cómoda, lo que permitía pasar una buena noche de sueño. El personal es súper amable y acogedor. La zona pública también es amplia y luminosa, con cómodos sofás para descansar y charlar, y una variedad de libros para leer. Probably one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. There are two lovely cats, and the interior is designed to feel cozy and comfortable. Even though the mattresses on the lower bunks are placed directly on the floor, they’re surprisingly comfortable, not the extremely thin ones you often find in hostels. The room itself feels warm and inviting, and it’s quite spacious for 4 people. Having a semi-private shower and toilet inside the room (rather than sharing with the whole floor or hostel) was a big plus. The location couldn’t be better, it's just a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. Right outside the hostel there’s a lively street full of food stalls and street vendors, so you could easily spend days exploring the area without needing to go far. The only downside was that on one of the nights some guests checked in and started smoking in the room and bathroom, despite the no smoking signs. But that’s not the hostel’s fault, it really just depends on the neighbors you happen to get.

Best place to stay in Xiamen. It’s more hotel than hostel with many rooms. The room have all the basic amenities you name it. Just a minute away from walking street as well from the beach. There is also a coffee shop there. The only downside could be ceiling hight seems a little less.
