Well, our 1st time at this hotel. and it's similar to the Empire State Building in New York City the design part. Hyatt Place shares the former United States Post Office building in downtown St. Paul with the new Custom House apartments. My older sister and I stayed here from March 1, 2023, thru March 5, 2023, We were invited to our niece's wedding which was on March 3, 2023, in South, St. Paul, MN at the enVision Hotel St. Paul South, 701 Concord St S, South St Paul, MN 55075. So, after the wedding, we were walking thru this hotel and learned the layout & taking many pictures. But we had gotten a rental car and drove through St.Paul. a lovely city. So, on Saturday the 4th of March we were seeing off our other niece & her son and invited them to Brunch at The Buttered Tin Restaurant | Local Eats & Sweets - St. Paul (Lowertown) - 237 7th St E, St Paul, MN 55101. On Google Maps someone said it wasn't crowded and they were wrong it was really crowded but the line inside moved quickly. After we all ate, our niece drove us back to our parking garage. She caught her flight home and my older sister & I went to the Como Zoo/ Como Conservatory- 1225 Estabrook Dr, St Paul, MN 55103. In our hotel room, we were on the 5th floor. In our room are 9-foot ceilings, tall drapes which use a button on the wall next to the bed near the windows to operate them to open & close also, sheer curtains, we have a small/dorm-like refrigerator, a special coffee maker with special coffee filters that were made for this coffee pot., and a guest laundry room on our floor, the ice maker was on the 4th floor. The 3-foot pool and fitness center were on the 3rd floor. The bathroom had a glass shower door. And we had a pullout sofabed in our medium size couch & leather footrest. We both had slept peacefully, we had no idea that there was a high school wrestling team also staying on the 5th floor but were on the other side. They were quiet, we didn't hear a thing or the teen boys or teen girls. We did see them in the Evening sitting in the lounge area & saw a few of them at Breakfast in the eating area. They have a great room down in the lobby and you can sit and plug your phone in the outlets, and very inviting, there are 2 sitting areas that have T.V.s in the sitting area, Also, this hotel is right across the street from the Union Depot Amtrack train and other trains. This is why my older sister picked it, easy access. The Car rental is a few blocks up the street, and there is a parking garage right across the street and it's cheaper called Lowertown Ramp-316 Jackson St N Saint Paul MN 55101 ＞ My only issue was the pillows were all down with ”duck feathers” they are too squishy and fluffy for me. I prefer a firm pillow. I don't like my head to sink in between the pillow. Feels like sleeping in the pudding. Overall our stay was wonderful and we will be back.
