The hotel is in a good location there’s a lot of restaurants nearby and even the hotel have a Georgian restaurant downstairs. But no elevator and the staff did not even help us carry our luggage in the stairs. Room is clean but not big

I have to say we will give the reception guy 6 stars up to five. We have to catch up the train in the early morning around 1am, so that we need to stay in the lounge for around 4hours.The reception guy, with my great respect and grateful, stay up the whole night with us, no rest and give water and turn on for us. In the end, support us for communicating with the driver and carry the luggages for us, with no tips(sorry we dont have change cash at that moments) also breakfast nice and room is clean and tidy

The hotel is very new and convenient access to the train station and all major tourist attractions. Room is clean and well organised. The staffs are all extremely helpful and friendly. They are quick to help and always smiling. Definitely recommend the stay for people coming to Samarkand.

The service and location were great. In terms of the hotel room itself, it was okay, but not great. The bathroom was very hot, and it seemed the AC didn't reach there. To make a queen bed, they pushed two twins together, and there is a strange and hard divet in the middle of the bed that hurt my back when I woke up. I appreciated the baths and sauna, but they could've been cleaner. What I took issue with was the random people loitering in the hotel courtyard. I had a random man come up to me who wasn't staying in the hotel who asked me if I was a **********. I appreciated that the hotel took quick action when they heard about this, but I think there should be better security in the courtyard.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec mon fils. L’hôtel est vraiment parfait pour découvrir la ville avec des enfants. Mention spéciale au personnel de la réception, très serviable, efficace et parlant un excellent anglais – bravo à eux ! La piscine est propre et agréable, les chambres impeccablement tenues, rien à redire sur la propreté. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse avec une jolie vue est un vrai plus, tout comme l’emplacement de l’hôtel, proche des principaux sites sans être en plein centre, ce qui permet de profiter du calme. Une très belle adresse que je recommande vivement ! Vous pouvez donner votre linge à laver à la réception ce qui est pratique pendant un road trip en Ouzbékistan!

We had a really pleasant stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Samarkand Sogd. The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable — exactly what you’d expect from the Hilton brand. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. The location is slightly away from the old town, but it’s in a calm and newer area near the Silk Road tourist zone, and getting around by taxi is easy and affordable. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money in Samarkand — a perfect choice if you prefer modern comfort and cleanliness over staying in the busy historic center. I’d definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights, the reception is really helpful and friendly. The room was huge, beds are comfy & breakfast spread was nice. There’s a small incident where when I checked in I asked the reception how do I use the laundry service, and he gave me wrong information which ended up they didn’t do my laundry and I was out of clean clothes. I called the reception at 7pm (the laundry is closed) and they quickly send someone to collect the laundry from me & send it back to me, cleaned the next morning at 8am. But actually the laundry service is only available 10am-6pm. Glad that they took a swift action on this matter!

I had a pleasant stay at Meridian Plaza Hotel. The location, facilities, and overall amenities were excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, there were a few housekeeping issues that could be improved. On one occasion, the trash in the bathroom was not emptied during room cleaning, and a cleaning cloth was accidentally left hanging on the door handle after housekeeping service. While these were minor issues, paying closer attention to housekeeping details would make the guest experience even better. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again.
