I had a great experience at Scenic Hotel. During check-in, the male staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. He gave me lots of useful information about the area, including the best places to eat, where to park, and tips for seeing the penguins. His local knowledge really helped make our trip easier and more enjoyable. The next morning, after coming back late from travelling, I asked the reception if I could check out 15–20 minutes later. The staff member on morning reception was very cool, understanding, and friendly. She happily allowed the late checkout with no issues at all. Overall, both staff members provided excellent service, and I really appreciated their kindness and helpful attitude. Highly recommend this hotel for both comfort and outstanding customer service!

Wonderful Experience! Poshtel is an antique-style hotel with beautifully designed interiors. Each room has its own unique theme, classic and full of character, making the stay truly memorable. The overall cleanliness is good and the atmosphere feels cozy and charming. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. When we were stuck due to a strong wind red warning, with public transportation canceled and unable to reach another city to catch our flight, the hotel team went above and beyond. They helped us book an alternative driver and kindly extended our checkout time, giving us more flexibility to plan for contingencies. We truly appreciate their assistance and thoughtful service. Super cómoda ubicación. Caminando al supermercado y frente del lago. Muchas de aparcamiento de calle gratis alrededor del albergue. El albergue está bien equipado y muy limpio. Desgraciadamente, no había secador de pelo en el baño y se debe pedir desde la recepción (que cierra la noche).

Very happy with our Accomodation at Aria on Bank Dunedin. The self contained unit for a couple was modern, very clean, fresh & well presented. Free (No fee) use of laundry ( washing machine & dryer) for all tenants to use. Our room was missing a frying pan which i needed to cook. I contacted the front desk, the gentleman receptionist immediately ran & I mean ran to our unit to confirm it was missing & sure enough none to be located. He left & returned a couple mins later with a replacement frying pan & utensil. Outstanding service. AAA+++ RATING for service & excellence.

Great location and setting - This is a must stay in a warm summers day with excellent outdoor living areas to be enjoyed surrounded by the local water bird life. very little if any road noise.

Great place to stay and great views of the ocean and sound of waves.

If you use Google Maps, remember to select the pedestrian path for directions. Otherwise, it may guide you to an abandoned house. The view from the dining room was nice, but we found some short blond hairs on the bed. We weren't too concerned about it, but others might be. The breakfast is quite Western—bread and jam, with milk or yogurt. It's a nice place, suitable for a short nap before takeoff. Nearby Saddle Hill is a great spot for viewing the Southern Lights if the timing is right. You could also ask John for local tips—he might know the best viewing spots. We've been touring around the lower South Island for a little over 2 weeks, staying at motels for generally about 2 nights at a time. The Sierra Motel ranks as one of the nicest we have seen in the whole trip. The exterior looks dated but the interior is fabulous - large, clean, comfortable, and modern. There is a large TV (with basic Sky - would like to access Netflix), king bed, two lounge chairs and a good work/dining space as well as a large shower with two shower heads, and a large outdoor area with an exterior table and 2 chairs. We enjoyed a G&T outside our unit in the fading afternoon sun - very pleasant. Booking through Trip.com also gave us a very competitive price and 25% better that anything the motel would offer, so we were very happy indeed.

Overall, this accommodation was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The unit was very spacious, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean upon arrival, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. The layout was practical and suitable for both short and longer stays, with ample space to move around and relax. One of the biggest advantages was how easy the place was to locate. Clear directions and a convenient location made check-in smooth and stress-free, especially after a long journey. The surrounding area was also quiet and pleasant, allowing for a restful stay. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, from the rooms to the common areas, which we truly appreciated. Overall, this accommodation offers great comfort, convenience, and value. We would definitely recommend it to others and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
