For our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit. My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in. Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go. We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel. I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!

En general, mi estancia fue agradable. Aunque hubo un pequeño inconveniente con la reserva de mi habitación que retrasó mi llegada, agradecí los esfuerzos tanto de la recepción del hotel (especialmente de Jordan) como del representante de Trip (Nico) para resolver el problema con prontitud. La habitación en sí era bastante sencilla, pero la excelente ubicación y el delicioso desayuno lo compensaron con creces. Sin duda, consideraría volver a alojarme en un hotel Clarion Hotels.

Reservamos una habitación familiar con dos camas individuales y un sofá cama, pero las vistas eran escasas. La habitación estaba en la primera planta y la ventana daba a un muro de contención. Si desea mejores vistas y unas vacaciones más placenteras, puede reservar una habitación familiar superior. Esta habitación es más amplia, con dos camas individuales y una litera, y tiene vistas a un jardín. Es algo cara, pero en general la calidad escandinava es bastante buena. El desayuno es estándar. Hay una estación de esquí junto al hotel, y desde su punto más alto se disfruta de una impresionante vista panorámica de Oslo.

Numa has a superb and user-friendly app that makes check-in and check-out a breeze. You can also request a late check-out or add other services directly through the app, though these come with additional charges if you choose to use them. The room itself was brighter and spacious — we booked a larger version of the standard room. It even came with a washing machine, which we were really excited about since it was the only property during our trip that had one. Unfortunately, it didn’t have a dryer function (or perhaps we might have missed it), so drying our clothes after washing was a bit of a challenge. The distance from Oslo Train Station was manageable, but do take note that if you’re carrying big or heavy luggage like we were, the pavements leading to the property can be quite tricky to navigate. Overall, it was still a good and comfortable stay.

Simplemente puedo decir que fue increíble al entrar en la habitación. La ubicación es excelente, a solo unos minutos a pie de la estación de autobuses. El hotel es limpio y muy agradable, con comodidades modernas. Vale la pena alojarse allí por el precio. Excelentes vistas de la ciudad.

Simple hotel, yet clean. Staff are very helpful. Location is easy walk from the train station through the shopping mall, but it is not exactly near the center of attractions. Breakfast is simple but very nice (really love their croissants). Appreciate the breakfast pack given by the hotel for us also; since our train to Bergen is very early in the morning 🙂

great boutique hotel! only unfortunate thing is that the breakfast only opens at 8am on weekends so we missed it due to an early flight, but they made up for it with a breakfast to-go when we checked out!

¡Una experiencia absolutamente fantástica! El hotel superó todas nuestras expectativas con su excepcional servicio, habitaciones impecables y comodidades de primera. El hotel está situado a 5 o 6 minutos a pie de la estación de tren, cerca del mar. Tiene un pequeño vestíbulo, pero también podremos utilizar algunas mesas de su restaurante, mientras disfrutamos de café o té gratis durante todo el día. También ofrece cena ligera incluida en el precio y fue una de las razones por las que lo elegí. La cena incluye buffet de ensaladas y aderezos increíbles, además de una sopa diaria, una comida y pan recién horneado. La televisión tenía sólo unos pocos canales nacionales. Todos los miembros del personal son muy educados y serviciales. Conseguí la habitación inmediatamente después de mi llegada, unas horas antes de la hora oficial de check-in. El check-out está muy bien, programado al mediodía. Hay una consigna de equipaje muy pequeña pero gratuita. Finalmente, obtuve un muy buen precio en Trip.com, en comparación con otros proveedores.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, las habitaciones limpias y el desayuno delicioso volvería a reservar con ellos
