For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did.
On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us.
We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did!

On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!

UUsuario invitadoIt’s an impressive building so I was having some expectations. The room it was a bit dated in the newer part. Not many amenities as you can expect from this kind of hotel. The bar area is really nice looking over a fabulous garden and so the restaurant. On that note the food was areal let down. I have ordered a Thai green curry chicken. I was soo looking forward to this but when arrived it was a total disappointment. The chicken was probably a leftover from another meal, very dry. The sauce was nothing like green curry and the rice it was microwaved. The waitresses were very lovely and apologised and the removed it from my bill. They said that they have an agency chef! So it’s a real shame !!

Además: James me esperaba cuando llegué y me mostró la llave y la habitación. También tomó mi pedido para la mañana siguiente. La habitación era decente. Hay muchas luces en la habitación. La cama estaba bien. Hay espacio de estacionamiento en el sitio. El desayuno estaba listo cuando caminé a la sala de cenas.
La habitación está muy bien, pero no es muy fácil. El baño es de tamaño adecuado para una persona.
La habitación estaba en el segundo piso, con escaleras estreitas. Estaba bien para mí cuando viajé muy ligeramente. Pero sería difícil para alguien con un gran equipaje o una restricción de movilidad.

UUsuario invitadoThis venue was stunning, a beautiful quiet location to catch your breath or walk into Stratford-upon-Avon to enjoy the architecture and see the history.
Wish we could have spent more time there, and we would certainly plan to return and explore further.
Very clean, tidy, and spacious accommodation.
Fittings within the room and in the hotel were excellent. Linen and towels were of superb quality.
The service was excellent throughout, and all the staff were extremely polite and helpful.

SShowkat GanieThe room itself was generally fine, and the heating worked perfectly. However, we experienced a significant issue with the bathroom: the water would not drain properly, leaving the floor flooded. We had to use a wiper to push the water toward the sink and drain (images attached), which was very inconvenient.
Another surprising and disappointing detail was that no towels or soap were provided. These are basic essentials in any hotel, and since we did not bring our own, we were charged extra for them. This felt completely unreasonable.
Finally, the location is far from ideal. The hotel is quite a distance from the town centre, and public transport is infrequent, making it difficult to get around. Would not recommend!!!

UUsuario invitadoThe location was great - right in the middle of Stratford and ideal for a theatre visit. The room was small and pretty basic, but it was clean with comfy beds so fine for overnight. The communication from staff was great - no onsite parking but a clear explanation of where the nearest car park was (very close) and how to get the best price. Very helpful staff. Didn't use the bar area so can't comment on food or drink, but it was welcoming and there was a pleasant outside area. Tea / coffee and kettle provided. Clean if small shower room. Overall really good value for the price and would definitely stay there again.

UUsuario invitadoThis is our 3rd stay here . It is a brilliant hotel in a great location for a theatre trip. Every detail has been thought of in the rooms except for reading light for bed in Fig room which we’ve stayed in twice now . Light is so poor you can’t read in bed . However that was the only criticism on the visit - everything else was excellent. Cooked breakfast is a treat in the lovely dining room .

UUsuario invitadoGreat location, and beautiful grounds ~ parking was hard to find.
The room was clean and tidy, with a nice firm bed, the Weather was very warm, and even though there was a fan in the room the heat was stifling and so hot! The so called “air con” was useless!
The indoor swimming pool was a good size, but it was so incredibly hot in the building, it was hard to breathe!! (Open the doors to let some oxygen in!)
The evening meal was good, as was the breakfast the following morning.
Quite expensive for a mediocre stay.
Lovely staff throughout.

UUsuario invitadoWe booked two rooms for a 2-night family stay —a family Suite and a Classic Room. The hotel’s amenities and location were excellent, with plenty of eateries nearby. My son was unwell during the trip and it’s really comforting that the stay was great for him to rest and recover.
We had dinner in the hotel and the food was amazing!
The breakfast served was also good, we like the hot dishes that we chose English breakfast, scrambled eggs and salmon 👍!
Very cosy, comfortable and pleasant experience!
