This hotel was located just off the motorway, and fairly easy to find. Upon arrival/check in we were informed of our room number and given our key card, however no information was provided. ie (check out times, breakfast times, any of the bar/restaurant details, pool/fitness centre details. We had to go back and forth to reception through out to get the information we needed. Fortunately the staff were friendly and welcoming which made easy to approach them. Room was nice, bit cramped even for a king privilege room. Not much space to walk, too many unnecessary chairs. Room and bathroom was clean. Mini fridge was nicely stocked up with water and soft drinks for free. TV in the room was a smart tv, allowed us to watch Netflix via screen mirroring which was excellent. Bed was comfortable with multiple pillow options. Sockets and USB charging points on both sides of the room, great for charging multiple devices. Full length mirror and cupboard space to hang up clothes. Nice gown and slippers presented neatly on the bed. We did visit the pool facilities on multiple occasions during our stay. It was just a medium size. With a separate jacuzzi and steam room and sauna. Pool water was nice temperature, slightly warm which felt really nice. Lighting in the pool area was poor, quite dimly lit. Lockers in changing area needs a padlock, as we didn’t know we didn’t take out. Some chairs are available on the pool side which we were able to put out things. Dining room was nicely laid out with ample space to move around. Breakfast had multiple options including vegetarian options available on request. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay. Would recommend it.

A Wonderful Stay at the Lowfield Inn – A Hidden Gem on the English-Welsh Border We had a fantastic stay at the Lowfield Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our family room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with plenty of room to relax, including a sofa. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep in a quiet and peaceful setting. The inn features a lovely common area and a roof terrace with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The scenery is stunning and perfect for enjoying long walks along the border between England and Wales. The pub itself is a true highlight—offering a great selection of traditional cask ales and a very welcoming beer garden where you can enjoy the evening sun. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff are genuinely helpful and accommodating. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as pencils and paper provided for children. As for the food: it was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The menu offers a wonderful mix of traditional English pub fare and Indian dishes, all prepared with creativity and care. The starters were delicious, the mains were generous and satisfying, and the desserts were absolutely indulgent. The children’s menu was also well thought out and very appealing. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide selection and very generous portions—no one left hungry! There’s also plenty of parking space, which made everything even easier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return the next time we’re in the area.

We visited Lion Quays on a midweek night away - I have wanted to try the hotel for a while. The receptionist was very friendly on arrival but warned us that the lift was broken that day. She offered help with our bags - which we declined. But we would have struggled if we had poor mobility as we were on the top floor. We were in room 312 with a view of the canal which was lovely. However there was a hole worn in the top cover on the bed - it didn't affect us but it looked bad. We noticed alot of the furniture in the hotel was worn - particularly in the dining room where the seats and arms were bald. We had a sandwich and a beer out on the patio before we visited the leisure club which we had been looking forward to. The steam room was out of order and closed and the light in the rustic sauna was not working although it was open. Since it was mid August - this was pretty disappointing. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel- instead going to Henlle Heights nearby for a fantastic Indian meal. We slept well in the room, the bed felt very soft but was really comfy. There was a fan provided but we didn't use it. The following morning we discovered the lift had been fixed. We really enjoyed breakfast, a fine selection of hot and cold options to help yourself and spent some time sitting out near the canal with our coffees which was super relaxing. We did like Lion Quays and we would return however there just seemed to be a few rough edges which came across as lack of care which was a real shame.

El personal de la recepción fue agradable y profesional.

La habitación está muy bien, pero no es muy fácil. La habitación era para 3 personas y el personal del hotel era muy útil para satisfacer nuestras necesidades. La familia de la hotel es de gran alcance y la cultura de la atención es extensa. El hotel es donde el personal quiere decir sí. No mencionar el carácter del hotel. La familia Matthews ha creado una experiencia de 5 estrellas en un hotel de 12 años, 15 y 17 años. This is a lovely place, we stayed in the ‘cottage’ which was more like an annexe building and it had two rooms of which we occupied one. The room was good, we enjoyed breakfast in the dining room and the breakfast menu had a lot of choice too which was great. There were options for a full English style breakfast, but also options for cereals and fruits etc. We decided to try dinner at the hotel one evening and we were extremely happy with our choice. The food was excellent quality and very enjoyable. The hotel is a short walk into the centre, very close to the castle which is worth a visit and you can see the castle from the road you walk on from the hotel to the city.

I needed a hotel near the Telford International Centre and this was the closest based on cost.  The connected restaurant was really good and there were shops close by such as Asda Express, Burger King, Greggs and Subway at the petrol station next door.  The hotel provided complimentary tea and coffee and clean towels.  The only toiletries in the bathroom was shower cream/shampoo and hand wash.  If you need hair conditioner, bring your own.  Also, there were no tissues provided.  But the room itself was clean with extra pillows provided if needed.  The aircon was also a godsend in this current heatwave!

The room had alot including a fridge, iron, iron board, cooling fan, hair dryer. The spa had an ice room steam rooms saunas heated pool and a few other spa treats I've forgot lol really good stay the breakfast is a buffet continental plus English breakfast.

En general no era una gran estancia, mal mantenerla corta y dulce y listar positivos y negativos en lugar de ir en detalle Positives - All staff friendly and helpful, nice location, if you can book a deluxe room so you get a first floor room with outside table and chairs and view of the golf course. Treatment and spa facilities were good though there are no jaqoozi. Negativos - Organización, tuve un día de spa y un almuerzo, no se explicó dónde estaba el almuerzo o qué estaba incluido, tuve que hacer todas las preguntas. No me dijeron el límite de 15 libras para almorzar, así que pasé y luego esperaban que pagara la diferencia, pero acordaron que era injusto. La habitación era muy caliente y no era ni siquiera tan caliente fuera, tomar un fan en el tiempo caliente. ¡El personal estaba enfermo y había un nuevo barman que retrasó las bebidas! No volvería por el precio que tienes que pagar y lo que tienes

My stay was wonderful to the point I actually booked another 3 nites but due to an institution in London I had to cancel within an hr of purchase!Trip chafed me a 119.00 penily for cancellation!Nit even another hr had gone by I rebooked a hotel in London?Im very upset I didn’t get refunded that 119 charge since I immediately booked a new reservation!
