I am a solo traveler who stayed in the room with private open bath. I enjoyed my 2 nights stay. Hotel looks tired and old but it was all good . Btw, you have to use a key to open the door not access card. I paid for my room with breakfast and dinner. I have a private dining space in a restaurant which I like it. Skip all queue and I dine at the same place for all meals. Dinner was great. Breakfast spread was wonderful too. I tried the one hour jap massage and it was so good. There isn’t anyone who can really speak English. The guests are mainly locals. There is free shuttle to check in and check out. Overall I give 9/10!!

El hotel es nuevo, por lo que creo que es por eso que el servicio realmente carece. Fue muy difícil comunicar por correo electrónico. No hay transbordador de autobús establecido del hotel - tendrás que pre-reservar si necesitas un viaje a la estación de Hakuba si quieres hacer algunas compras. There's also no convenience store nearby and the nearest is about 2KM walk away....

La mejor experiencia del hotel cálido en este momento, es muy satisfactoria en todos los aspectos, especialmente el espacio de sopa de sopa es realmente grande, la cama y la boca también son muy dormidas hasta el amanecer; el bar también es medio, el desayuno es mejor que la cena, se recomienda que al menos 2-3 la tarde es una mejor opción. Pero se sugiere que el espacio para comer fortalecerá el huracán, que en invierno se consume por el calor y el sabor de los cigarrillos quemados en la placa de hierro es muy pesado y difícil de respirar, lo que debería ser el único lugar donde se considere necesario ajustar.

It was a great experience to stay in this hotel! Very nice view and staff are very polite and willing to answer many questions. Outdoor area is very big that we could take bicycles with kids. Also there are kids outdoor playground that can spend whole day there. 

Room is good but service can be improved. First of all I’m gold member but the hotel didn’t allow me to early check in when I arrived at hotel at noon time. Secondly, they charge extra for basic amenities like shower cap. Last but not least, a brand new non-opened cup noodle of mine was missing after room cleaning…

Nice and cozy hotel, the service was very good thought not excellent, and the limousine service is very convenient and friendly to use. However, the room deco was kind of outdated and show some wear and tear. It’s time for renovation.

La casa está equipada, muy limpia y bien equipada con todas las necesidades, lo que hace sentirse como una casa verdadera lejos de casa. El diseño del patio BBQ por el propietario fue un espectáculo de nuestra estadía, y nos disfrutamos de una noche de barbecho agradable y memorable bajo las estrellas. La atención al detalle y la ubicación tranquila lo han hecho un paseo ideal. Recomendamos muy a cualquiera que busque una estancia cómoda y relajada en Karuizawa. Gracias por una experiencia increíble!

This is the best hotel we ever stayed at. If you are reading this review, it means you already decided on going to the middle of no where Japan. Byaku more or less owns the town. There are other ryokans but nowhere close the the quality of this. They also have the only restaurant open late and it is amazing!!! Furthermore book it on a Friday/Sat/Sunday so you can enjoy the sake brewery next to the hot springs. Also get rooms with your own Onsen, it’s worth it the public ones aren’t co gender

Le Grand Karuizawa Hotel & Resort is a perfect place for great views, relaxation and luxury retreat. We stayed on the top of the resort where the view of the Asama Mountain is breathtaking. The room is spacious but cozy. The dinners were very good. We stayed two nights (half board), the two fine-dining French dinners with local ingredients we had were superb. The courses served at the dinners didn’t have any repeat. I will definitely come here again for other seasons.
