We stayed at Royal Canadian Lodge in Banff from March 26–29 with my 7-year-old daughter, and overall we had a great experience. Check-in was simple and straightforward. We arrived in the early evening, and Jason at the front desk was the most approachable and helpful hotel staff member I have ever dealt with. He remembered my daughter’s name, greeted her every day, checked in with us throughout our stay, and added little touches that made the trip feel extra special for both of us. The renovated room itself was fairly standard for a hotel room, but comfortable. Our room had two queen beds, which worked well for us. The bathroom had a shower only, with no bathtub, but that was not an issue. The pillows were big and lumpy, all 8 of the pillows in our room were too high/tall for my daughter to use comfortably. There are robes provided in the room, it would be a nice touch if they could also provide kids size robes. We had a mini fridge, coffee maker with coffee, and kettle with tea provided in the room. We ordered room service one night and tried the pulled pork poutine, which was the daily special from the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was not very good, and I would not recommend it. The TV included free cable and on-demand programming, as well as pay-per-view movies. I had brought my laptop and an HDMI cord, and we were able to connect it to the TV easily to watch our own movies. Watching on-demand, my daughter discovered The Simpsons and loved it (lol) The pool area was a big highlight for us. The pool is salt water rather than chlorine. The water itself was on the cooler side, but there was also a good-sized hot tub and a large steam room. My daughter quickly made friends with another family staying at the hotel, and the kids spent multiple hours a day in the pool together. The gym was small but functional. In the four days we were there, it was empty every time we walked by. Parking is $20 per day, which does add up. There is also free street parking behind the hotel if you are able to find a spot. One fun feature in the lobby was the robot, which the kids absolutely loved. We were told that after construction is complete, it will be delivering items to guest rooms. During our stay it moved around the lobby, told jokes, and handed out free apples. The hotel was reasonably priced compared with other options in the area. I chose it specifically for the pool setup, knowing we would be spending a lot of time there, and it worked out really well for that. Shops and restaurants on the main street were about a 10-minute walk away, or you could take the bus that stops outside the neighboring hotel for $2 per ride, with kids riding free. I would definitely stay here again in the future. The price, location, rooms, and pool make this a very family-friendly hotel option in Banff. Biggest thank you to Jason at the front desk for the spectacular service we enjoyed.

El entorno de hardware de Westin es bastante notable y su ubicación en el centro de la ciudad es muy conveniente. Está muy cerca del distrito de negocios y es muy conveniente, el hotel tiene estacionamiento, pero el límite de altura es de dos metros.

Perfect stay, clean huge room, comfy huge king bed, friendly frontdesk ladies for check in and out, toiletries from crabtree & evelyn smell really good, towels, full length mirror, safety box, coffee machine etc all in. Free cookies on check in and it’s so yummy and timely. Responsive reply to email, held the room for us for super late check-in. Free parking, within 15 min drive to Calgary airport. Offers shuttle at $5 as well. Second time staying and will always be our go-to when we fly! Trip.com offered the best price after coins off, great!

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Airport. The hotel is conveniently close to the airport, which made our travel day much easier, though it’s worth noting there’s no shuttle service. Still, the quick commute was no problem for us. We appreciated that the hotel offers a storage unit, which was super helpful and made managing our luggage so much easier. Our room was newly renovated, clean, modern, and very comfortable — definitely a highlight of our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again!

No es nuestra primera vez que nos quedamos aquí - pero nos dejamos con un sentido de frustración hoy! El hotel se encuentra en una zona de 2 horas, donde el servicio de la puerta de atrás no puede encontrar nuestra reserva.  La reserva fue encontrada en el momento de la entrada de la ciudad. Nos dejamos literalmente en nuestra habitación 2 minutos antes de que el agente de escritorio nos intentó pagar algo del bar de snack. No podía decirnos qué objeto habíamos “consumido” (no habíamos consumido nada - especialmente a esos precios!) y luego cuando se preguntó cómo podrían saber dentro de 2 minutos (de nosotros saliendo de nuestra habitación) que un artículo había sido consumido - se convirtieron en muy defensivo y no podían responder realmente a la pregunta de “¿Cómo sabes qué nos cuesta” y la respuesta fue “es para el informe al final del día - nadie dice que realmente tomó nada”. Except that’s exactly what the desk cleark said the charge was going to be for - “an item from the snack bar for a total of $4.20”. Después de rechazar la tasa, se nos dijo que no se pagaría ninguna tasa en la tarjeta de crédito. Me hizo sentir como si hubiéramos ”robado” algo cuando pedimos una mayor clarificación sobre la acusación. “No se disculpe ni le agradezco que hayas estado con nosotros”. Decepcionante. Very disappointing experience. My children asked for boiled eggs and I ordered 6 boiled eggs, I was later charged $30 for six eggs ($5 per egg) without any prior disclosure of the cost and without the item being listed on the menu. The eggs were poorly prepared and could not be peeled properly. Large portions of the yolk stuck to the shell and came apart during peeling, making them unusable. Since the eggs had already been peeled, they could not reasonably be returned. I raised the issue with the restaurant manager, Shenzu, and showed him the photos, but he refused to address the problem or offer a fair resolution. Shenzu's handling of this situation was disappointing and did not reflect the level of customer service I expect from a hotel manager. Despite being shown photos of the poorly prepared eggs and hearing my concerns about the undisclosed charges, he was unwilling to address the issue or offer a reasonable resolution and was adamant - he was playing a winning game and was a little ****** . Customer satisfaction appeared to be a low priority throughout the interaction. Combined with the lack of price transparency, poor food quality, and failure to provide a receipt, this resulted in a very negative experience. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to other travelers.

El hotel Deerfoot Inn & Casino nos quedaba porque queríamos probar el bufete de 50 dólares de la costilla principal en el Mohave Grill. Mi marido y notó que los hoteles eran realmente caros ese fin de semana, así que pensábamos pagar un $40 adicional y quedarse en algún lugar que pensábamos que iba a ser más veloz que un Econolodge. La habitación era muy agradable, pero la cama no era la más cómoda, así que el sueño no era tan grande. My fellow Rotarian and I came for the 2025 Rotary International Conference in Calgary. The stay was pleasant. Service was excellent. Room was cleaned daily which was nice returning to a tidy clean room. Coffee and tea were replenished daily which was great. I will highly recommend to friends and family. The hotel was so close to the airport. Shuttle service was provided to the airport which was convenient. I liked the lobby display ready for the 2015 Calgary Stampede from July 1st 2025 for ten days.

Pros: EV Charging: Great to find third-party L2 chargers on-site ($2/hr, added about 40km range per hour). Very convenient for EV owners. Cleanliness: The main room area was generally clean and well-maintained. Cons: Housekeeping Fail: When preparing the sofa bed, I found the provided bedsheet had a massive hole right in the middle. I tried calling guest services multiple times but no one answered. I eventually had to hunt down a housekeeping staff member in the hallway to get a fresh sheet. Breakfast Frustration: My booking clearly included breakfast for myself and my two children. However, the restaurant staff insisted it was only for two people and made me go to the front desk to resolve it myself. It was an awkward and unnecessary hassle during a family trip. Tipping Pressure: After the breakfast confusion and mediocre food quality, being presented with a $0 receipt that explicitly prompts for tips felt like a cash grab. Verdict: While the hardware (charging, cleanliness) is decent, the service and communication between the front desk and the restaurant need major improvement. I shouldn't have to ”prove” my booking status or chase staff for basic linens.
