Very good value for money. The location is not ideal if you want to explore Kathmandu but it's perfect if you have to catch a flight the following day. The view of the city from the rooftop is also amazing.

Sin embargo, entre la gente que esperaba coches a la salida, vi mi nombre en un cartel. ¡Fue una sorpresa muy grata y reconfortante para alguien que acababa de llegar! El coche me llevó al hotel, que está en una zona céntrica y muy animada de Thamel. Justo debajo hay un restaurante de brochetas de Chengdu. El hotel es uno de los más altos de la zona, y cuenta con un restaurante de cristal en la azotea, en el piso 12. En el piso 11 hay una piscina y un spa, lo cual es un diseño bastante audaz. El desayuno es bueno y el servicio atento. Es fácil moverse desde aquí, en 6 minutos en rickshaw se llega a la Plaza Durbar. El tamaño de la habitación también es adecuado, pero me molesta un poco que, a pesar de haber pedido un piso alto, me dieron el cuarto. Además, el baño olía muy mal, incluso con la puerta cerrada, el olor se extendía por la habitación. Este problema del mal olor está relacionado con las instalaciones y el mantenimiento, y necesita ser mejorado. ¡Por lo demás, todo muy bien!

It was a lovely stay at The Terraces. The view to the Kathmandu valley was stunning and the mountain view during the clearer skies were worth it. The service was tiptop and everyone was so kind and helpful. The FnB Manger Suman has very friendly and do not hesitate to go extra miles to provide the best service. We will certainly be back to The Terraces when we are travelling to Nepal again.

This place is such a gem. Take slightly more than an hour direct from the Kathmandu airport. The views from the hotel is breathtaking. The room was clean and big enough for 2 pax. I like the balcony where i could just sit to take in the views and gaze at the stars at night. Bathroom was impeccably clean and the towels are really good. I participated in their morning hike organized by the hotel. The 1 hour i wished would lasted longer. We got a glimpse of the life around Nagarkot with amazing vistas. I must commend all the staffs at the hotel. Top notch service from everyone. With smile and very friendly. Special mention of Binod who has been very attentive in his service.

The Hotel Barahi Kathmandu is in a great location, walking distance to great souvenirs in Thamal, tourist sites like the Garden of Dreams and the former Royal Palace. The hotel staff were so friendly, engaging and helpful. The hotel has a pool up on level 7 with great views of Kathmandu. The only flaw with the pool is it is surrounded by the restaurant, so no one swims in it. I had a suite the room was beautiful, very happy with the cleanliness and room service. The only flaw with the room is that it backed on to the service area for staff who were all working very hard, but there was banging and clanging all night and morning.

Desde que el Hilton se incendió, los precios se han duplicado, pero las instalaciones del hotel también se han quedado bastante anticuadas. En concreto: 1. Sin aire acondicionado, la temperatura de la habitación sube rápidamente, haciéndola insoportable. Con el aire acondicionado encendido, el ruido de la ventilación es extremadamente fuerte y molesto. 2. Tras mucha negociación con recepción, conseguí cambiar de habitación, pero la tapa del inodoro se cayó dentro. ¡Además, había zonas del suelo que no estaban bien limpias! He hablado de estos problemas con el hotel. Finalmente, volví a contactar con el hotel esperando una compensación, pero me respondieron que no habría ninguna, solo un reembolso y un cambio de hotel. ¡A más de 1400 yuanes la noche, simplemente no merece la pena!

We knew the service would be good as soon as we booked, and within hours we received a welcome email, listing the ways we could contact them if we needed to. On the pick up at the airport, they were speedy and efficient and the taxi ride only took us 20 minutes with traffic. As we walked through the door we were blown away by the interior decoration, only then to find that hotel had been a former palace! Historic artifacts and pictures were strewn through the hallways and the outside only matched the royal feel with perfection. We stayed in the royal suite, with a big bed and balcony. The staff were great, the breakfast was standard for off peak times and although the location isn't in the depth of Thamel, the area most will go out for eating and drinking, it was within 30 minutes drive of most landmarks and as it was the ambassedy/ office worker area, there was a nice vibe. There were some things that can't be controlled. The hotel did a good job of providing heat as the weather in February is still chilly. The pollution was real. Especially as you walk nearer the streets, something to think about if you are sensitive to this. Apart from that, It was all really wonderful. Big Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve. La piscina es totalmente decepcionante. Mejor para cerrar, que mantenerse en marcha y no flotar, una cesta de energía. El agua es sucia, ninguna estrella en absoluto. El bar, el bar y el bar de Ghurka son todavía muy buenos. 2 desconexiones en un día, creo que están luchando con la escasez de energía debido a las salas oscuras. El desayuno era así, el café o el té no debería ser un desafío para servir primero, a veces tomó la mitad de la comida antes de que llegaran.
