Ethan Allen Hotel, Danbury, CT Recientemente nos quedamos en el Ethan Allen Hotel y tuvimos una experiencia generalmente agradable. La estación de café y té con agua y todos los condimentos necesarios, que fue un agradable toque, era conveniente. La entrada fue rápida y fácil. Fuimos dados una habitación en el primer piso. Al entrar, encontramos la habitación muy limpia y espaciosa. Aunque no despachemos, había espacio para ropa y almacenamiento. La habitación estaba equipada con un cuarto de baño con ducha, una cafetería, una microondas, un cafetería con pantalones, un salón de té y todos los condimentos, muy conveniente. La habitación es muy buena, pero no hay nada que pueda hacer. En resumen, este hotel tiene muchas buenas cualidades, especialmente en términos de limpieza, comodidad y servicio. Me gustaría quedarme aquí otra vez, especialmente si se realizaran renovaciones de habitaciones.

I didn't realize there was no surface lots and I'd have to pay $25/day for parking. I might have missed that in the description so that's not really an issue. We were given a room on the top floor, in practically the farthest corner away from the elevator which was quiet, but far away from the rest of my daughter's teammates who were staying on lower floors. We dropped our stuff and went right to the pool. There were only 4 chairs and no towels left so we had to go searching for them and most of our stuff got wet sitting on the floor so that was frustrating. The signs on each floor say ”ice and vending” but the floors I checked had ice machines only and I had to resort to paying $4.00 for a can of orange soda at the bar for my daughter. The store in the hotel was closed, though I'm not sure if it would've been cheaper. After swimming and hanging out in the spacious lobby, we returned to our room to realize it wasn't very clean but it was time for my daughter to shower and go to bed since she had a gymnastics meet at 7:45 am. I took pictures of the hair tie in the sink, the bug on the bathroom floor, the hair on the vanity and floor, the stains on the bed skirt, etc. Kind of disappointed bc I usually stay at Marriott hotels for work and never have these issues. The coffee shop in the lobby was quick the next morning though which was good since we had to get up so early.

My first night at the hotel was fantastic, setting a positive tone for my stay. The second night brought a few challenges—minimal bathroom ventilation, a louder air conditioner, and some trouble connecting to Wi-Fi. However, the hotel staff were attentive and promptly offered me a new room, which resolved these issues and provided a much smoother experience. I took advantage of the fitness center, though navigating the new treadmills was a bit tricky since they weren’t pre-programmed. While the pool closure was disappointing, the hotel acknowledged my concerns and generously offered me a complimentary dinner with a drink. On the third night, I accidentally left my car keys behind when heading out in the morning. Upon returning, my key card didn’t work, but the staff quickly resolved the issue. Later, I relaxed in my room, appreciating the view despite a minor inconvenience with a broken curtain rod. Once again, the hotel addressed my concerns with care, granting me a complimentary night and a refund as a gesture of goodwill. While the hotel has room for improvement with its facilities, the staff truly stood out with their professionalism, teamwork, and genuine efforts to ensure my comfort. Their dedication turned what could have been a frustrating experience into one that left me feeling valued. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Solo trip to visiting Yale. The hotel location is in the downtown and also near the training station - a just few minutes drive. The view from the hotel room is amazing especially during the sunset.

Tener un coche y comprar comidas y bebidas de vida de antemano será muy bueno. Será adecuado para vivir en casa, hay una cocina pequeña, un baño seco separado. La temperatura del aire acondicionado es controlable, el camas confortables. No hay equipos auxiliares como el salón del hotel, hay desayuno sencillo. Alrededor de la desayuno familiar general estadounidense. Café leche huevos, cebada caliente...esto es: usted compró algunas cosas de vida, junto con su equipaje, sería cómodo vivir ”en casa”. Así que, antes de quedarse, vaya a un objetivo, adecuado para tener niños que leer cerca, usted va a vivir un tiempo. Tenga en cuenta! Tenga que tener un coche.

I would travel and stay here but not for the ****** 😭 the area was quiet and friendly service

Stayed just for night but loved it. We stayed in King room and it was big. The indoor pool was great thing too. Free parking outside the hotel and within hotel grounds was excellent. And just a 10-15 min drive to Mystic and Groton. A great stay for the price.
