Las habitaciones son muy limpias y grandes, y todos los detalles son exactamente como se anuncian en trip.com. Todo el personal es muy amable y atento. La piscina es muy limpia, hermosa y genial. Esta piscina es lo más atractivo de este complejo. En el desayuno hay mucha comida para elegir. Y por la noche también puedes ir al bar. Estaba muy feliz y realmente me liberé de todo el estrés. En general, estaba muy satisfecho.

Hotel is still going through some upgrading at the back of the building. Which does not affect the guest at all. Was taken aback by the height and transparent lifts welcoming us. Very grand entrance indeed. However, the colour is out dated. Is it supposed to be underwater theme or inside a ship theme. But the most distinct feature that struck my nose was the air freshener. I really don't like it. Apart from that, room was spacious, clean & bed a little soft for my liking. Toilets big and clean. But I noticed at the under side of the toilet bowl is not cleaned properly. Bathing liquid is not enough for 3 of us. Would be better if wall mounted pumps used instead of small refillable travel bottles. Breakfast spread is substantial and tasty. With the affordable price. Will definitely come again.

Se dio una habitación de fumadores mientras que había pedido una habitación no fumadora en mi reserva. Tuvo que pedir un cambio de habitación. La puerta de la habitación era difícil de abrir a pesar de utilizar dos tarjetas de acceso. De nuevo tuvo que pedir al receptor que se aseguren nuestras puertas de la habitación. Así que hubo algún retraso antes de que podamos realmente descansar después de un largo día. Se proporcionaron instalaciones básicas como el kit dental, el champú y lavado del cuerpo. La habitación era de una magnífica dimensión. El desayuno estaba bien y tiene una estación Maggie. Es sólo un 5-10 minutos de coche al centro de ferry Batam.

The location is good and near to many eateries and coffee shops. Getting around is easy through ride hailing and the fares are inexpensive. One thing I find irritating is how the light switches were located, particularly for the toilet lightings. The switch was placed besides the room entrance. There is no switch anywhere else to control the toilet lightings, not even outside the toilet entrance.

Special thanks to Restu and the team, Putri, Jennifer, Ale, Rawa, Nike, and many more staff whose names I unfortunately cannot remember. The service throughout our stay was truly excellent. The team was friendly, attentive, and always welcoming, which made the experience a pleasant one. A few areas the hotel could possibly look into for further improvement. The breakfast was enjoyable initially, but after a few days, it started to feel less appetising due to the repetitive selection. The western corner especially could use more variety, as it was almost the same daily with baked beans, tomatoes, and hot dogs. I believe having more options would also better cater to western guests. The pricing for the à la carte menu could also be reviewed. As for the pool area, hopefully maintenance and landscaping can be further improved to enhance the overall ambience. Hopefully, the hotel could also consider adding some light music around the lovely lobby area in the evenings, not only during weekends. As there is not much to do at night, having live music occasionally —( planned according to occupancy rate)— together with a simple happy hour setup by the lobby for in-house guests would create a much better atmosphere. A light BBQ snack corner with beers and relaxing music would be a perfect touch for guests who prefer to stay within the hotel and unwind at night. Unfortunately, the SPA service and EL Lagoi experience were truly disappointing for us and did not meet expectations. Hopefully, improvements can be made in these areas as well. Overall, thank you once again to the wonderful team for the warm hospitality and excellent service throughout our stay.

There’s no need for this place to shout. It already knows where it stands. Right in the middle of Batam—everything within reach. Not the kind of “central” that looks good on a map, but the kind where you step out and the day just… unfolds. Rooms are straightforward. Clean, composed, no unnecessary drama. You sleep well, wake up ready—nothing fighting you. But what lingers is the staff. Not overbearing, not rehearsed—just quietly attentive. The kind who solve things before you feel the inconvenience.

Decent hotel at a very strategic location. Many surrounding facilities like coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, convenient stores, bakeries, massage parlours, KTVs, and etc. Nearby a large food court called A2 Food Court and shopping malls like Grand Batam Mall and Batam City Square Mall. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Standard room amenities. Lobby looks newly renovated. I believe some further renovation on going for breakfast restaurant and other parts of the hotel. Staffs are helpful like security guy helping with our luggage and receptionist keep us inform as soon as room available for early check-in. Overall, value for money accomodation.

Fui allí con pocas expectativas debido a las críticas en Tripadvisor. Pero creo que el hotel es bastante bueno en general. Sí, el hotel es un poco viejo y la ropa de cama puede tener una pequeña mancha, pero me sorprendió gratamente que su cama individual sea en realidad una cama tamaño queen y una cama individual. Sus habitaciones también están amuebladas principalmente con muebles de madera. Otra cosa que me gusta mucho es el aire acondicionado, es muy fuerte y hace mucho frío. Nos envolvimos en la manta como un burrito. Quizás una pequeña cosa a tener en cuenta es que, aunque hay carteles de ”prohibido fumar” en los ascensores, todavía hay viajeros que fuman abiertamente allí. Pero aparte de eso, creo que el hotel está bien en general. También es bastante seguro, porque debes escanear la tarjeta de la habitación antes de seleccionar el nivel al que deseas ir. También hay Macdonalds cerca, sólo hay que cruzar la calle.

On Grab etc it still shows as ”Sahid Batam Center Hotel and Convention”. Full service 3 star hotel with buffet breakfast and complimentary Elite Health Club access (gym, pool 🏊🏼♂️). Large, comfortable rooms and beds. Outstanding quality of welcome, guest services and security. An older type property, very popular with local Indonesian people. Great place to meet nice people and avoid Singapore tourists! For people who live and work in Batam, this place really is an institution. Highly recommended and outstanding value for money.
