UUsuario invitadoOk I’ll start with positives. The location is literally adjacent to St Ives railway station and the beach so if you don’t like walking the hotel is great for this. Hotel itself is on a steep hill, walking downhill to the main port/shops is about 5/10mins.
Now the hotel. First impression of reception desk is great, looks clean and new and the reception staff were very friendly but then it went downhill from there. The “luggage storage” room was a room that anyone could access particularly with the back door of the room wide open to the back of the hotel and yard. So i would be concerned leaving anything valuable.
Our room was 313 on the third floor. Ridiculously warm with a basic tower fan for cooling, there was tea and coffee facilities that were good. The standard quality of the room was poor. Bedding was poor quality very uncomfortable only one pillow..if you could call it that. I would advise management to supervise housekeeping more and do room checks as the cleanliness was poor. As you entered you were greeted by a weird smell of damp. The view of the one window was great of the sea and beach but marred by the dirty seagull poop window and worn mouldy window frame, dirty dust on the sill. It’s not hard to clean a window and window frame or get a maintenance person to reseal the edges of the window or put a temporary rubber sealant till a new window frame is fitted. The bath tub panel had a crack hole in it which could cause a cut if I wasn’t carefully paying attention and a used soap in the shower. Orange yellowing in the grouting around the bath/shower. Limescale bathroom foam spray helps with this. This room desperately needs to be refurbished or renovated. I highly recommend watching Four in a bed or The Hotel Inspector in how to manage your rooms.
The other room was room 11? backed onto the courtyard. A little better high ceilings, airy and cool looked like it had a repaint but again the shower room had a strong smell of urine.
Other than that reception desk staff friendly, when mentioned the urine smell they got housekeeping to clean again, just a shame it takes other team members to slack somewhat on housekeeping and let the team down. More supervision is required. More maintenance.
Look don’t be put off by this review like I said location is great. Just be really specific with your room choice ie, renovated room-show photos you’ve seen on website so you know what room you’re getting.

玥玥上La sala de paisaje del mar, las ventanas son varias y grandes, ofrecen desayuno sencillo (aproximadamente 12 libras), la comida del restaurante del hotel es buena, muchas personas diarias, el viernes hay una cocina oficial (15.5 super barata), muchos platos están llenos de color, sólo son muy fáciles de tener un sentimiento de apetito, así que es barato, No tengo miedo de que los huéspedes coman mucho, pero si lo han probado, es más que ～

UUsuario invitadoEl hotel es un hotel increíble, a pocos minutos a pie de la estación de tren y a pocos minutos a pie de la ciudad de Newquay, cerca de todas las instalaciones; el personal de la oficina frontal amigable fácil de comprobar rápidamente en proceso y ayudante con nuestra equipaje! La habitación de Bougie y el estilo decorativo del hotel fue muy elegante y el mercado de arriba recomendaría definitivamente 💯

좋은 주인아저씨와 아줌마가 맞아주시고 호텔방도 너무너무 깨끗해서 꿀감잤어요 다음엔 가족 모두와 다시 오고 싶은 곳임
특히 영국의 B&B 를 경험하고 싶으신분 꼭 예약하세요 10점 만점에 10점입니다 다른 곳보다 가격이나 청결도 면에서 가성비 높아요 음 개인적으로는 너무 깨끗했음 그리고 호텔이 작아서 고객들도 가족단위가 많고 개념이 있는 사람들이 많았어요
미리미리 예약하지 않으면 못가요 호텔 근처에 해변가 있고 식당은 Mexico inn 에 있는데 음 추천은 못하겠고요 차라리 아줌마 아저씨께 부탁드려서 해달라고 하는게 더 나을 것 같아요
호텔에 작은 펍도 있어서 저녁에 술도 한잔 할 수 있어요
영국 아저씨 아줌마니까 과도한 친절함은 없지만 편안한 친절함과 츤데레 있으십니다 건강하게 오래오래 호텔을 운영하셨으면 좋겠어요 ❤️

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel itself was a great experience and we did enjoy the novelty of staying in the prison which I would recommend to anyone.
Upon arrival we were welcome by the team but very basic information was given, leading to us missing a tour of the hotel which we were told was included in the price. The manager then offered for one of the team to do a later tour for just the two of us which was cut short, very awkward and definitely not worth the money paid for. If we had been advised of the tour with the bigger group when checking in we may have had a better experience.
We decided to book dinner at the chapel to experience it as much as we could but dinner was poor. We had to wait for our table, 3 different people asked for our name before we sat down and then again a fourth person checked once we were sat down. With minimal staff on the service was poor to say the least and The burger ordered was pretty much raw, I did not finish it. Once we had finished no one came to ask if we wanted anything else or to look at a dessert menu. We left the restaurant with no one even there working! Not sure where the team had disappeared to.
Breakfast was good and would recommend it.

OOlly reviewsEl King Arthur's Arms está situado junto a un enorme parque de coches, pero en Fore Street, que es la calle principal que corre a través de Tintagel y a unos 3 minutos a pie a la cima de la colina que conduce a la castaña de Tintagel de la herencia inglesa. En el bar de Jess, al llegar, nos inspeccionó con una bienvenida muy amable. El olor de la limpieza nos surgió cuando caminamos hasta nuestra enorme habitación con cama doble, guardarropa, mesa de vestir, sillas fáciles y enorme baño con doble caminación en la ducha, la bañera, el baño y radiador caliente. En el hotel, el hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, donde se encuentra el centro de la ciudad. No hubo problema con el ruido del pub y dormimos bien, despertando un amplio desayuno que comienza con una selección de pasteles y cereales, luego inglés completo, té, café y jugos! A continuación, pudimos permanecer estacionados por unas horas después de comprobar a las 10:00 para pasear por Tintagel.
Realmente no puede recomendar las Armas del Rey Arthur lo suficiente y especialmente para los padres solteros con niños seguros, amigables y acomodados y gritar a Jess por un servicio de super amigable a lo largo de todo!

UUsuario invitadoA lovely welcome as we were greeted at the Bar by Tommy and shown to our room. We went back to the bar and had a drink. The bar offers a good selection of beer lager and wines.
The room was clean and tidy and was great for a short stay. The bed was a double with a mattress that was a little soft for us, however that is because we do have a very firm mattress at home
The staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately due to our stay being on Sunday and Monday we could take advantage of the restaurant as it was closed for these two evenings but the menu looked very nice.
We paid for the breakfast for two mornings at £15 per head per day and it was very good. Yoghurt, fruit, warm croissants and cereals were on the table on arrival and then we were offered a choice of cooked breakfast, either a full english, bacon or sausage sandwiches and Scrambled egg with smoked salmon. We had an issue one morning however this was sorted out to our satisfaction.
We would definitely recommend St Tudy Inn for a short stopover.
