Both of us are extremely satisfied staying Im this hotel. The resapan for giving the hotel 10/10 are:
- Efficient customer service, the senior lady as well as the younger staff at the counter are very alert and responsive. I would say the young senior staff with short hair is a gem to the hotel management team. She's kind, caring and hospitable.
- The Hotel is strategically located near to the Kunming Railway Station as well as to FuDe Subway station. Moving around in Kunming city is so convenient.
- Just next to the hotel is the Shuangqiao Night Market. It's the largest night market in Kunming. We enjoyed the variety of food served in the market.
- Although the night market operates till 3am, the rooms remain quiet and peaceful to sleep in because the Hotel has double layered glass windows to block out the noise from outside .
- The breakfast I served is also delicious : local noodles and wantons served in three types of soup - plain chicken broth, sour and spicy or Mala taste.
I would highly recommend this hotel to all my friends and family members who are going to visit Kunming.

Los coches no pueden entrar al casco antiguo, así que el dueño fue personalmente al mirador para ayudarnos con el equipaje. Salimos a las 8:00 y madrugó para llevarnos al autobús. Fue muy amable e hizo todo lo posible para que nuestra estancia fuera cómoda.
El desayuno consistía en huevos cocidos y fideos, pero estaban deliciosos. Hay un restaurante cruzando la calle que abre a las 5:30. El hotel ofrece lavadora gratuita y también un espacio para secar la ropa.
La vista desde nuestra habitación era increíble. Desde la ventana, podíamos ver todo el casco antiguo. Fue muy relajante sentarse en una silla, tomar un té y disfrutar del paisaje. La casa conserva el estilo del casco antiguo y tiene un aire antiguo y pintoresco.
El hotel tiene una ubicación excelente, cerca del mirador y con fácil acceso al transporte. Su ubicación elevada ofrece una vista panorámica de todo el casco antiguo de Lijiang. Recomiendo ampliamente este hotel. 😁

Es realmente cómodo. En primer lugar, la habitación es completamente inteligente. Puede comunic**** con Xiaodu en la recepción. El servicio también es muy amable. Cuando viajaba solo, me preocupaba la dirección del hotel para la comida y el alojamiento. Era conveniente, pero aquí tenía bocadillos especiales de Yunnan abajo. El joven anfitrión, Xiao Peng (en la foto con nosotros), incluso ofreció enviarnos a SongZanLin Monastery & Napahai cuando le pedimos dirección.

Excelente, solo puedo decir cosas buenas de este hotel. tiene la mejor cama de China, las almohadas muy buenas, inmejorable ubicación, excelente comunicación. Guardaron mi maleta por casi 2 semanas y sin cobrar nada. La chica de la recepción habla inglés lo que hace más fluida las coordinaciones. Habitación limpia, amplia, silenciosa dormí muy bien), si bien no tiene lindas vistas pero tiene muy buena iluminación , es el alojamiento perfecto para un buen descanso o punto de partida para recorrer la ciudad o conocer la zona. Lo recomiendo 100% excelente relación precio calidad. No contraté el desayuno así que no puedo opinar sobre eso pero hay un restaurante de parrillas que está siempre lleno en el primer nivel, al parecer es bueno. Sabanas y toallas de buena calidad, el baño sin hongos lo que revela que se preocupan de la limpieza en detalla, lo que no ocurre en muchos hoteles. Me alojé en el tercer piso en la habitación frente al ascensor y a sala de las muxamas (puerta insonorizada)

We loved staying in this hotel. It is a short walk away from Lijiang old town, which is absolutely beautiful.
The guy at the front desk was very kind and helpful, he asked if we wanted our rooms cleaned during our stay and recommended itineraries for us.
Our room was nice and cosy and the projector was really cool. The view from the rooftop bar was also awesome!

El mayor problema era la falta de insonorización. ㅠㅠ Está junto a otro alojamiento, y podía oír lo que decía la gente por la noche desde la cama...
Se reían y hablaban a gritos, lo cual era increíblemente incómodo. No solo tenían la voz aguda, sino que la insonorización también era pésima... Deberías asumir que no estaba allí.
Está cerca de la Puerta Norte, justo enfrente del Mercado de Chungui, así que tardamos unos 25 minutos en llegar andando.
Parecían muy amables por fuera, pero cuando les pregunté por WeChat sobre los horarios y lugares de desayuno, no me respondieron (durante mi estancia de dos días).
Pero después de hacer el check out, me pidieron que les diera 5 estrellas.

Buen ambiente, buena higiene, la casa es muy antigua y da la sensación de estar envejecida. Hay un pequeño sofá dentro, me gusta mucho. Hay un sillón en el patio, que a los niños les encanta. El servicio es bueno, la joven es muy guapa y entusiasta. Los fideos de arroz para desayunar están deliciosos, me encantan ❤, vale la pena quedarse 😄😄

UUsuario invitadoThe check in process for this hotel was … surprisingly a bit slower than the other hotels I’ve stayed in Yunnan, maybe because it was during the public holidays there and they’re a bit understaffed while having quite a number of customers staying there. But it was nice that they assisted to arrange our rooms next to each other on the same floor.
Staff were more responsive to use the landline in the room, it’ll take some time to get a reply on WeChat. But overall, still pretty good. Their laundry area has 3 washing machines and 3 dryers, and the hotel provides ready packed detergents and disinfectants for users, which was a plus for us 👍 oh and their tea leaves packets taste pretty nice as well
Location was superb, walkable distance to nanping pedestrian street and CuiHu lake. There’s a mall right across the street.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

共定了五間房，從北方出發，我們一行人浩浩盪盪從冰天雪地的北方去到了春暖花開的版納，提前聯繫好接機，取好行李直接上車，到了酒店之後，就被前台小姐姐們的熱情和笑容感染了，酒店裝修風格，到床品品質，早餐供應都特別值得誇獎!
特別要感謝這邊的服務人員!真的做到了熱情周到，讓人倍感温暖，賓至如歸，前台還貼心的準備的各種防蚊防曬用品，可以供我們免費使用……
對了，酒店前台給提供的普洱茶也特別好喝，果然雲南出好茶
一起出行的所有人都很滿意這個酒店，推薦給出來團建和家庭旅遊的家人們，酒店真的很不錯👍
此刻坐在供暖的北方房間裏，還是有點懷念版納的艷陽高照！推薦推薦

YYuki Serene AngI had an extremely enjoyable stay at Mr Ma’s accommodation. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and sincere hospitality. Throughout our stay, he assisted us with every need and often went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay to a total of six nights!
We were deeply touched by his generosity and the thoughtfulness he showed every single day. Each morning, he checked in on us, asked if we had slept well, and made sure we had everything we needed. This is a family-run accommodation, and every member of the Ma family was friendly, warm, and welcoming. Mr Ma even took special care to accommodate my daughter’s cat allergy by keeping their cats away from the common areas — a gesture we truly appreciated.
One of the highlights of our stay was the meaningful conversations we shared with the family. We exchanged stories about our respective countries, shared insights about our cultures, and learned so much from one another. These heartfelt chats made our stay feel even more personal, and we genuinely enjoyed connecting on a deeper level beyond the usual host–guest interactions.
The room facilities were excellent — warm blankets, electric heating pads, newly installed air-conditioners, towels, a hair dryer, and a kettle. And every morning, we were greeted with a comforting bowl of noodles lovingly prepared by Mrs Ma — such a heartwarming way to start the day.
The location is ideal as well: close to the bustling streets and ancient town, with the mountains and lake just nearby. We enjoyed sitting on the top-floor balcony in the cool, crisp morning air, taking in the peaceful mountain views. Mrs Ma also shared wonderful food recommendations, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed.
During our stay, we met international travellers from France, and the Ma family communicated effortlessly using translation apps. It’s clear they have plenty of experience hosting guests from around the world. We also made a short trip to Lijiang, arranged through Mr Ma’s recommendation — a comfortable 9-seater car that picked us up directly from the accommodation and dropped us off at our next destination.
I highly, highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and warmth shown to us throughout our stay — right up until the moment we left, when Mr Ma personally helped us with our luggage.
Before you leave, be sure to take a photo with the family, and don’t miss the chance to chat with Mr Ma’s son, who is very eager to practise English with travellers.

地理位置也非常方便：靠近苍山,三月街 ,大里古城，耳海，周围就是山景与湖景。我们特别喜欢每天清晨坐在顶楼阳台，吹着清凉的晨风，欣赏宁静的山景。马太太还推荐了几家美食，我们都吃得非常满意。
在这里，我们还遇到了来自法国的旅客，马家人通过翻译软件和他们沟通毫无障碍，可见他们接待国际旅客的经验十分丰富。我们也根据马先生的推荐去了丽江——是宽敞舒适的九座车，从民宿直接接送，非常方便。
我真心、强烈地推荐这家民宿给前来旅行的朋友们。我非常感谢他们在我们整个旅程中给予的善意与温暖，甚至直到离开的那一刻，马先生仍亲自帮我们搬运行李。

None of the corners is not instagrammable. The yulong view is perfect, you can see the view from the room and common area. Never forget to mention about their service. I didn’t get the names of the receptionists (a guy and a lady), both are really friendly and helpful, love their smiles. They provide free rides to shuhe and dayan guzhen

The hotel is beautifully designed with charming Naxi-style architecture and tasteful modern touches, creating a peaceful and authentic atmosphere.
My room was spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities and a lovely view of the courtyard. I especially appreciated the quiet location — just a short walk to Lijiang Old Town but tucked away enough to enjoy restful nights.
The daily breakfast was delicious. The staff also helped arrange transportation and gave great recommendations for places to explore around Lijiang.
Overall, staying at Joyful Boutique Hotel truly enhanced my time in Lijiang. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, friendly, and authentic place to stay!

UUsuario invitadoAutomatic free upgrade due to off season was nice. Spacious room with nice concessions. Service is generally great and helpful. Included breakfast is a treat for tired travelers not ready to explore.
Airport/train pick up service is nice but don't rush into getting their reserve a car for a whole day deal. Lots of options. One has to figure out return to airport/train station on one's own but Didi and taxis are pretty easy to come by.
Concierge can help purchase tickets to certain parks and at a fair price, which is convenient. Free washing machines where staff can help unload and use the tagged laundry basket to bring to room and hang for drying is a nice service if one doesn't have time or remember to pick up.
Staff did seem to have limited knowledge about their own neighborhood like not knowing about the 24 hour eatery and mini super market right across the street.

Lo que vale la pena mencionar es que la pequeña terraza adjunta al B&B ofrece una vista panorámica de las montañas cubiertas de nieve. Cuando la brisa de la mañana sopla en tus mejillas, te sientes renovado y cómodo. Tomamos té y charlamos aquí, con el magnífico paisaje de las montañas nevadas a la vista. Desde la bienvenida hasta el servicio diario, ya sea un saludo por la mañana o un servicio tranquilo por la noche, podrá sentir su atención y sinceridad hacia cada huésped. Este lugar no solo me permitió experimentar el entusiasmo y la vitalidad de Lijiang, sino que también me hizo sentir la calidez y la comodidad de un B&B. Fue una experiencia de alojamiento excelente y muy rentable.
