When check in, the staff was busy, It was confused me to rush for check in, apperantly the room was on the other building, so I need to go out and enter the other building. Not sure about the security, looks like no security on the other building. For breakfast I have to go out to the front office building on the 2nd floor. They give coupon for breakfast from 7-10. The breakfast was okay, and same type of menu. The room quite big, the bathroom okay, with full amenities. It seems the the room wasn't clean properly, there some small plastic rubbish on the corner when I check in, I wouldn't bother. Light in front of bathroom wasn't good enougj, since the mirror there you need when you getting ready to go out. They provide water bottle and tea bag. Free store luggage service upon check in and check out. Location is near the train station, walkable to Miyahara and around train station was really nice at night.

Nos cambiaron amablemente a habitaciones con balcón junto al ascensor para una mejor ventilación. Incluso en la planta baja, la vista de Taipéi es inmejorable. Nos gusta mucho más el suelo de madera.
Debido a la renovación del edificio independiente, han usado un aroma fuerte para disimular el olor. Ese lado tiene suelo de moqueta, lo cual será ideal para algunos viajeros.
Hay algunas boutiques en el edificio principal que venden moda y accesorios especiales.
Espero poder quedarnos más tiempo la próxima vez para leer la exposición en la planta V. Es una valiosa historia de cómo se ha desarrollado el hotel desde la década de 1940.
Los autobuses a Jiantan solo funcionan los fines de semana; como japoneses, no podemos leer el cartel y esperamos con el viento durante más de 10 minutos. Por suerte, una señora preguntó al conserje y averiguó qué pasaba. En su lugar, tomamos un taxi.

Cerca de la estación de tren y autobús, lo que es conveniente para viajar a lugares turísticos como el lago Sun Moon. Pero está lejos del famoso mercado nocturno de Feng chia. El viaje en autobús tardará unos 30 minutos y la frecuencia de los autobuses es baja (tiempo de espera de hasta 30 minutos). La habitación es pequeña para 2 personas pero por el precio diría que es razonable.

El mayor atractivo de este hotel es su ubicación. Está justo enfrente de la estación de Kaohsiung en el ferrocarril de Taiwán, así que no hay problema ni siquiera con equipaje pesado. Hay Yoshinoya y McDonald's cerca, así que es una buena ubicación para quienes prefieren eso. Las habitaciones no son especialmente grandes, pero se mantienen limpias y cómodas. Es innovador que las zonas del dormitorio y el baño estén separadas por puertas correderas. Todo el hotel tiene un diseño elegante que te hace sentir elegante. Me he alojado aquí muchas veces. El ambiente de desayuno de este hotel es realmente de primera clase. Debes sentarte junto a la ventana para disfrutar del paisaje. La habitación es grande y la cama cómoda. Esta vez descubrí que hay un autobús lanzadera a Ximending. La única insatisfacción fue que había un grupo escolar japonés con decenas de estudiantes durante nuestra estancia. Durante el desayuno, esto afecta seriamente a otros huéspedes individuales a la hora de encontrar un asiento o conseguir comida. Es muy molesto toparse con esta clase de estudiantes cada mañana mientras desayunamos.

Excelente ubicación y personal amable. Aunque el hotel es un poco antiguo, está muy bien cuidado. Hay agua embotellada, café y bolsitas de té a diario en la habitación. También hay una cafetera en la recepción. El personal es muy amable y servicial. No hay artículos de aseo como cepillo de dientes, peine o afeitadora, así que por favor, prepárense para el viaje. En general, recomiendo este hotel. Gracias.

El personal de recepción del hotel es muy bueno, amable y servicial. El hotel dispone de aparcamiento gratuito cerca del hotel. Además, en el vestíbulo del hotel hay un snack-bar abierto las 24 horas, con galletas, helados, bollos al vapor, café, té, zumo de naranja, etc....
El hotel ofrece un desayuno sencillo y de buen sabor.
Después de colocar dos camas dobles en la habitación para 4 personas, el espacio no es muy grande y solo hay una mesa redonda y una silla. Si quieres comer en la habitación no hay espacio. El espacio del baño es grande, pero los azulejos junto a la bañera están un poco mohosos. Sería mejor si pudieran limpiarse con más frecuencia.

DdkworksThe only good thing this hotel offers you is a stunning view of the Kaihsiung skyline, however cleanliness and staff could be improved. The hotel says it is a 5 star hotel, but in fact it only offers 3 star experience; hotel staff looks not welcoming, the rooms are quite outdated, the aircon cannot be switched for heat - it was super cold in the room and they turn the aircon for you before you check in - why? It is 15 degrees outside, why your aircon is at freezing mode?

UUsuario invitado1. Misleading Entrance Signage
Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable.
2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance
When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside?
3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior
After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues.
As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight.
We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of:
- Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance
- Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival
- Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior
We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future.

Además, la parada del autobús directo a la Calle Antigua de Jiufen está a solo diez minutos a pie.
El ambiente y las instalaciones están bien; de hecho, me he alojado aquí más de tres veces en los últimos diez años.

CCP_LeeI write with much disappointment on your lapse in hotel service. I checked in on 3/12/25 and my son caught a cold. I was at the hotel lobby at 1.5hrs earlier requesting for a check in but it’s allowed. My son and I were left to rest n sleep at the lobby. No one came to us or any empathy shown at all.
The next day as my son was unwell n resting in the room, there was dragging sounds that can be heard from the room which lasted for about an hour plus. I called the reception and was told that there is no guest staying above my room 701 nor beside us. My hair stands and immediately requested for a change of room. Without empathy, the reception told me that it could housekeeping upstairs. I was even more puzzled n worried why is there housekeeping where there is no one staying above my room n beside my room? The reception mentioned that they will check again even though I requested for a change of room a few times. Finally, a lady who came to ‘help me’ change room. She given me a doubtful expression and asked me if the dragging sound is still there with no empathy. Thankfully after she asked, there are dragging sounds are heard. She was standing in my room to only see me scramble to pack my things with no apology or empathy. To make things worse, she asked me what time I want to have my breakfast the next day. I really do not appreciate the question when I busy packing my things to a new room. I was later told by the in charge for that day named Connie that the staff are trained not to help guest with their luggage. So is this the reason to show no empathy to your guests by asking the guests' breakfast timing?
The lady brought me to third floor but I do not feel good at the walkway as super dark and eerie feel and requested for another room.
On my final day staying at the hotel, I was given a call half an hour before 11am to ask to check out of the hotel. I had never encounter such thing before.
It then brings me the question whereby if your check in time is 6pm and your check out time is 11am, why then there is a need to rush guests out of the hotel? The hotel will have ample 7hrs for housekeeping. Also, if the room beside my room 701 n above unit has no guest staying, why is it that I cannot check in early on the day of arrival on 3/12/25 where my son is not well?
Even more shocking to me, during checking out of the hotel, I was given a document saying that I purchased laundry item which I did not. Imagine if it’s a confidential document that the staff reveal to a wrong guest? This is totally not professional. I requested for the names of staff and the email for me to feedback to the management but they are not willing to do it. I was standing at the front counter in the cold wind for 10 minutes requesting for it. It's really ridiculous! Later, the in charge that day named Betty finally succumb to my request but repeat rudely her name to me.
It's such a shame that the hotel is such a good location but I will seriously reconsider or even recommend anyone to stay in there again

CClymene LimThoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sun Palm B&B. Have written this review in English, but we communicated with them in Chinese. We stayed at this B&B during the tourism off-peak season (March).
Service - Amazing. They were very responsive on Line, and quick to reply. They were also helpful with our requests/questions (e.g. fetching service to and fro airport, car rental service, traffic road conditions in Penghu) and were polite. They also gave some advice on what can or cannot be done (e.g. we wanted to cycle around Penghu, but they advised us saying Penghu was too big to travel on a bicycle). The driver was always punctual when picking us up, and when sending us to the airport. In fact, he was already there, with the car ready, minutes before we were supposed to leave for the airport - we didn't even need to remind them. The lady boss was very friendly - when we first arrived, she asked if we were new to Penghu (it was our first time), and she introduced where to explore in Penghu, and what to eat. She also told us that if we wanted to do water activities, we can approach them, and they can make a check with the centres to see if they are open since it was off-peak season for tourist activities. We also had some extra request regarding the check out timing, and she helped us with it too. Before we arrived, they also tested the car we wanted to rent, and upon finding out that it wasn't working as well, they provided us with another car instead - this is certainly good service. They also cleaned up the room upon request, and re-stocked the fridge with drinks.
Food - The breakfast was amazing and fresh (see photos). On the first day we had bread + doughstick + egg with spring onion all in one package. It was delicious. On the second day, we had vermicelli and seafood (e.g. squid, prawns). The seafood was really fresh, and the broth was simple and tasty. Each dish was accompanied by fresh fruits / pastry + drink, which was refreshing.
Room - We got the Starry Honeymoon Room. It was very spacious, the room was clean, the amenities were in good condition, and the overall design was aesthetically pleasing. The heart pillow on the bed was a cute addition, and the round bed was big enough for 2 of us. Above the bed there was a window covered with a retractable screen - you can actually look into the sky while lying on the bed, really interesting.
Location - While this B&B is further away from the main city, we didn't feel that affected as they provided airport transfer services. Also, we felt that it being away from the hustle and bustle from the city was actually advantageous, as the B&B's location had a more relaxed, quiet, holiday vibes, which was what we were looking for. There is a 7-11 around 10 minutes from the B&B, so if you need food etc in the middle of the night, you can get it from there. We rented a car, so travelling to other areas wasn't much of an issue.
Overall, I will recommend this B&B to anyone looking to tour Penghu! Am glad to have chosen this B&B for our first ever trip to Penghu :)

La segunda habitación que me quedé en #2003 está cerca de ascensor ha actualizado la apariencia moderna.
Tienen navegación por la mañana al parque científico 8am, 8.30am, 9am, que es genial.
Tienen un transbordador nocturno al centro comercial de la ciudad que también es un ++
De lo contrario, habría que gastar 250 NTD en taxi que es caro.
