Staff were nice, a couple of them speaks English well. Our twin room with sofa bed was adequate. Sofa bed has seen better times n can feel the springs, not for someone who is on heavy side. Location of hotel is good. We love the hair dryer, Refa brand, top notch. Parking cost ¥1000 per night. Just behind is the shopping street and ard 15 mins walk is a big shopping mall, Sakura Machi. Kumamoto Castle can be seen opposite the hotel but if walking is still not so near. We decided to check out of hotel and drove to the castle. There are a few parking lots near to the castle but some need to walk longer.

We had a great stay at Kamenoi Hotel Aso Park. We booked a room in the South Building, which was spacious,clean, and had a large, comfortable bed. The hotel provides yukata robes in various colors, which was a lovely touch for guests to enjoy the onsen experience. ♨️ The onsen was large and relaxing — perfect after a day of exploring Aso. 🚗 Parking was very convenient, located right next to the hotel. Just across the parking area, there’s a 24-hour convenience store called Obentou Hirai offering ready-made bentos, hot meals, ramen, and udon — extremely convenient for late-night snacks or quick meals. 🍱 We chose a room-only package without meals, and in the morning, we visited the local souvenir and food center at Aso Station. It had a great selection of local foods and breakfast options, plus plenty of gifts and souvenirs to bring home. Overall, a comfortable stay with everything we needed nearby. Highly recommended if you’re exploring the Aso area!

This hotel has just been newly renovated, so everything feels very clean and fresh. Guests can enjoy unlimited alcoholic drinks every day — you can either mix your own or order directly at the bar, all for free. The staff are also extremely polite. The location is extremely convenient as well — it’s right next to the JR station, only a one-minute walk away. Parking is available at the Kumamoto Station No.3 parking lot behind the hotel. From 3 PM until 12 PM the next day, it only costs 1,000 yen per night, which is very reasonable. If I come back to Kumamoto again, I would definitely choose to stay here.

Serve in buffet style and lots of choice. Room size is good and new renovated. There has private onsen for couple and families without additonal charge. Close to the shopping street. But need to check with the restaurants, most of them close on Tue or Wed

This is definitely a fabulous and fantastic experience living in a Ryokan, and this Ryokan is also reputable among local people, which means it is highly recognized by Hitoyoshi residents. Some local residents also spend their time in this Ryokan as a relaxing journey. I ordered the room with breakfast served, and it looked so amazing and delicate. I hope to visit here again in the near future if there will be any chances. I absolutely love this little town.

This is our second time to stay at this hotel. We surely stay here again if I visit Kumamoto again.  Overall, we highly recommend Hotel Nikko Kumamoto for its great location, comfortable rooms, and exceptional service. 5 stars!

spacious, clean, well-equipped room. having washing machine in the middle of a trip definitely helped relieve some luggage space. a little dirt and stains on the tatami but not a big issue. will surely choose this hotel again if i’m visiting Kumamoto again.

U can choose the Hotel rooms concept and guests won’t find it boring to stay in. Overall is good and strongly recommend
