The hotel employees all of them were showed a good attitude and communication was no problem for foreigners. The location is great — it’s close to Kumamoto Castle, and there’s a shopping mall just about a 10-minute walk away. I made a reservation for a triple room for two nights. The sofa bed was uncomfortable, and the air conditioner could not adjust the airflow direction, which caused us to catch a cold. One more thing, the room key had to be returned and kept at the counter whenever we went out for the day.

We had a great stay at Kamenoi Hotel Aso Park. We booked a room in the South Building, which was spacious,clean, and had a large, comfortable bed. The hotel provides yukata robes in various colors, which was a lovely touch for guests to enjoy the onsen experience. ♨️ The onsen was large and relaxing — perfect after a day of exploring Aso. 🚗 Parking was very convenient, located right next to the hotel. Just across the parking area, there’s a 24-hour convenience store called Obentou Hirai offering ready-made bentos, hot meals, ramen, and udon — extremely convenient for late-night snacks or quick meals. 🍱 We chose a room-only package without meals, and in the morning, we visited the local souvenir and food center at Aso Station. It had a great selection of local foods and breakfast options, plus plenty of gifts and souvenirs to bring home. Overall, a comfortable stay with everything we needed nearby. Highly recommended if you’re exploring the Aso area!

This hotel has just been newly renovated, so everything feels very clean and fresh. Guests can enjoy unlimited alcoholic drinks every day — you can either mix your own or order directly at the bar, all for free. The staff are also extremely polite. The location is extremely convenient as well — it’s right next to the JR station, only a one-minute walk away. Parking is available at the Kumamoto Station No.3 parking lot behind the hotel. From 3 PM until 12 PM the next day, it only costs 1,000 yen per night, which is very reasonable. If I come back to Kumamoto again, I would definitely choose to stay here.

There are many public and private bath to choose from in this ryokan. Plus you can get the kurokawa onsen pass (tegata) which gives you access to 3 external onsens in the town (most ryokans in town are participating) within one year of purchase of the tegata. We didn’t book dinner at the hotel, and used the diner time to try Nonohana お宿 野の花 and Ryokan Konoyu 黒川温泉 旅館 こうの湯, then next morning before breakfast I went to most of the onsens in the hotel, then after breakfast we checked out and tried Miyama Sanso 山みず木別邸 深山山荘, all four places (including this hotel) have amazing onsens and views. We drove so it was easier for us to try onsens far from the hotel, but driving in town wasn’t the easiest given narrow roads. The parking lot is a few minutes walk from the hotel, we kept the key with us for easy move around.

This is our second time to stay at this hotel. Clean, Convenient, and Family-Friendly Stay I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very pleasant experience. If you're planning to drive, please note that the hotel does not have free parking spaces. However, there are nearby paid parking options just a short walk away, so it's still quite convenient. There’s also a convenience store located right across the street, which is a big plus. Check-in and check-out are both quick and hassle-free, thanks to the hotel's automated machines. The cleanliness of the hotel is impeccable, and the room was spacious enough for my child to run around comfortably. One feature I especially appreciated was the in-room washing machine along with a heated drying rack and rail in the bathroom—super handy when traveling with kids and needing to wash their clothes. Nightgowns are also provided, just like at another Fav Lux hotel I stayed at in Nagasaki. The room is equipped with a full set of kitchen appliances, perfect for light cooking or preparing fruits and snacks.

При выезде, нам сказали, что эту сумму оплачивать не нужно, мы так и не поняли почему. Номер очень стильно оформлен, но смутили раковина в коридоре, тусклое освещение и низкий потолок.
