KAMENOI HOTEL ASO

Although the hotel isn't close to the train station, it offers a shuttle service. The scenery is beautiful, and both the buffet dinner and breakfast were delicious 😋.

We stayed during a quiet period with low occupancy, so there were very few visitors around mostly young families and seniors. Because of this, the hotel felt remarkably peaceful, and the public onsen was never crowded, allowing for a truly relaxing bath experience. The entire property is clean and well-maintained, and depending on the location of your room, you can enjoy a lovely view of the surrounding mountains right from your window. If you are traveling to the national park to explore during the day, I highly recommend booking your room with breakfast included so you can fuel up before heading out early. On the other hand, keep in mind that opting for the Japanese cuisine buffet dinner can get quite expensive for two if you have excluded it from your original room booking.

Wonderful food options at the buffet spread, both for kids and adults. The rooms are clean with amazing view of Mount Aso.

It was a wonderful experience. The room was nice and it was a nice size and quite spacious for 2 luggages. Parking is free with lots of parking space . Knowing the hotel is remotely located, we included dinner & breakfast in our itinerary. It’s buffet style and was sumptuous and very well worth the extra paid. We booked the Kumamon themed room and loved our rooms The hot baths was also nice. It’s seperated into male and female baths. Check in and out was seamless. Overall a wonderful experience.

The best hotel stay for our whole trips. Room was good size, we managed to get good view.. Hotel facilities was fantastic, they have activities for guest at night.. we enjoyed the campfire so much. Definitely a must stay if planned to go Aso area.

This hotel is excellent for families, with beautiful plush lawn. Service is excellent and we had the best time with bon fire for mashmellow at night. Food is fantastic:)

Best hotel of our trip. Buffet dinner and breakfast were phenomenal. Room is super clean and comfy with great amenities. Will be back!
