Had a great stay at Grand Central Premier Hotel! The room was very big, spacious, clean, and well maintained, which made the stay really comfortable. The facilities and amenities are also great. I especially appreciated the welcome drinks during check-in, a nice touch that made the experience feel more premium. The hotel also has a swimming pool, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day. Location-wise, it’s very strategic. It’s within walking distance to the train station, making it super convenient for getting around. Plus, it’s close to Deli Park Mall, one of the nicest shopping malls in the city, so food and shopping options are easily accessible.

El Grand City Hall Medan es un hotel realmente impresionante y uno de los mejores alojamientos de lujo en Medan. Desde el momento de la llegada, se percibe de inmediato que se trata de un auténtico hotel de cinco estrellas. El vestíbulo siempre está animado y concurrido, pero todo se percibe organizado y bajo control. A pesar del constante flujo de huéspedes, el hotel mantiene un ambiente elegante y profesional. La habitación era excelente y, sin duda, uno de los puntos fuertes de la estancia. Era espaciosa, cómoda y estaba impecable. El acceso a la piscina cubierta añadió un toque extra de lujo y mejoró aún más la experiencia. Los servicios ofrecidos eran de buena calidad y reflejaban la categoría superior del hotel. Las instalaciones son otro punto fuerte. La piscina es amplia y acogedora, mientras que el gimnasio es grande, está bien equipado y cuenta con todo lo necesario para un entrenamiento completo. La ubicación del hotel también es fantástica, con multitud de restaurantes, cafeterías y lugares de interés a poca distancia, lo que lo hace ideal tanto para viajeros de ocio como de negocios. El desayuno ofrece una gran variedad de platos, con numerosas opciones locales e internacionales. Si bien la variedad es impresionante, el sabor de la mayoría de los platos era simplemente correcto, no excepcional. Sin duda hay algo para todos los gustos, pero la comida en sí no alcanza el mismo nivel que el resto de la experiencia del hotel. Desafortunadamente, tuvimos un percance durante el desayuno. Cabe destacar que el personal del hotel manejó la situación de inmediato de manera excelente. Nos reubicaron rápidamente en otra mesa y nos ofrecieron café de cortesía, lo cual agradecimos. Sin embargo, consideramos que el incidente debería haberse comunicado a la gerencia para que se hubiera considerado una solución más efectiva. Dicho esto, el incidente no afectó significativamente nuestra impresión general del hotel. La calidad de las habitaciones, las instalaciones y la experiencia en general siguieron siendo excelentes. El Grand City Hall Medan ofrece la comodidad, las comodidades y el nivel de servicio que se esperan de un hotel de cinco estrellas, y sigue siendo un hotel que recomendaría sin dudarlo a cualquiera que visite Medan.

We stayed here this time for 3 nights. We had stayed here a couple of times before. The hotel maintains its hospitality, warmness and courtious reception of customers. It was quite easy to check in and out. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were friendlyand warm. There are little things that should be paid attention to such as the menu for breakfast.. Although the spread is good but there should be some variation/changes. Overall staying here you get value for your money.

Booked 2 rooms for 4 guests via trip.com with an additional request for rooms with a connecting door. In the trip.com app, we intentionally correctly filled all the guest details for each rooms. Upon checkin, the hotel’s front desk said they cant accommodate the connecting room request because they say it was booked under different names. Sadly they used this opportunity to argue with us, printing out in front of ourselves with their printer on the front desk: 2 separate reservations under different names (Maybe since we intentionally filled those guest names correctly? But the contact number and email is still the same, no?). From it we briefly saw all details like the 2 different reservations numbers they used as the crucial evidence, and how our booking was routed through ******* (From this detail one could argue the request was lost through the flawed trip.com system. Yet the hotel could’ve investigated and be more proactive after seeing a reservation for one room asking for connecting doors??). I thought hotel guests checking in at night only wanted rest, not attending trial??? Although to be fair in the end they got us 2 connecting rooms, albeit at a low floor (after the unnecessary bargaining). They required Rp200K as deposit. Room was clean, with a very useful Korean brand smart tv. Functional hair dryer, good lighting, with an in-room safe, and a small fridge/chiller. Breakfast could’ve been better, but there’s a lot of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We got valet parking but didn’t pay for it, was it complimentary because of the limited parking space this hotel has, or did we get it as compensation/goodwill, we never knew (this was not explained at check in).

Grand Sakura Hotel is an acceptable budget-friendly option in Medan, especially considering the price point, but the property is showing its age and could benefit greatly from renovations. The room was functional but extremely dated. Furnishings and fixtures feel old, and the overall atmosphere lacks the freshness that many travellers would expect today. The television is very basic, and several channels are blurry, making the in-room entertainment experience quite limited. One positive aspect is the lobby, which is well presented and has a pleasant scent, creating a good first impression upon arrival. Unfortunately, the experience doesn’t quite continue into other areas of the hotel. Breakfast was one of the weaker points of the stay. The selection was minimal, and there wasn’t anything particularly memorable or standout among the offerings. It gets the job done, but don’t expect much variety or quality compared to other hotels in the same category. The gym was also disappointing. It is essentially a very small room with around five pieces of equipment, several of which appeared to be broken or poorly maintained. Calling it a full fitness centre would be an overstatement. Overall, Grand Sakura Hotel offers reasonable value for money if you’re simply looking for an affordable place to stay in Medan. However, with some refurbishment and better maintenance of its facilities, the hotel could significantly improve the guest experience and better justify its position in the market.

La habitación es muy agradable y muy agradable, y con 3 ascensores disponibles, es muy conveniente y le ahorra de cualquier espera que se mueva entre pisos. Además, está convenientemente situado cerca de Starbucks, APJ y Genk Steak.

Hotel is well appointed and located. Service is acceptable but we had to wait more than half an hour to check in. On top of that, we were not given the 5 twin rooms we booked and confirmed. We had to settle for 1 kingsize bedded room which was not what we asked for but I had to take the room. This is not expected of a 5 star Marriot hotel. We had made our booking through Trip.com nearly 2 months before our travel date so there is no reason why we could not get our 5 twin rooms when it was confirmed by the hotel. I was very upset but could not wait any longer to check in as we were all very tired. The Receptionist said the hotel was very full but not to be impolite, that is not the customer's problem. Your organisation needs to pull up their socks on delivering what was confirmed without making excuses . To make things worse, when we asked for extension of check out to 2pm, we were flatly refused. They did not even offer to extend 1 or 2 rooms to 2pm although we were a group of 5 rooms that stayed 3 nights in your hotel. We all checked out by 11.30am. I wish I could have had nice things to say about the hospitality and thoughtfulness of the hotel policy but sorry, apart from smiling staff, tgere is nothing more complimentary I can say.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet a bit away from the main town, Tuktuk Timbul is very well located. We stayed in one of their traditional-style little houses, which were very cute and charming. It’s a great spot if your plan is simply to relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and do nothing much. The homestay has a restaurant (we didn’t try the food though), a pool, a ping pong table, and a billiard table — so you can easily stay entertained without leaving the property. For the price, it’s definitely good value. That said, if you want to explore or do activities around Lake Toba, this may not be the best base. There isn’t much to do in the immediate area, and the staff weren’t very helpful when we asked for recommendations — apart from renting a scooter, they didn’t provide much guidance. Communication was also tricky as they don’t really speak English. Service felt a bit cold overall; the owners live nearby but never greeted us, which made us feel like we were disturbing them rather than being welcomed. In summary: a good option if your goal is to switch off, relax, and stay put at the homestay itself. But if you’re looking for friendly service, local tips, or activities beyond the property, you might find it lacking.

had a great stay at D’Prima Hotel Kualanamu. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The rooms are modern, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a long journey. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The location is also very convenient, especially for travelers using Kualanamu International Airport. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

I couldn't make my stay here due to flight delays from Batik Air Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. I am aware that it was not possible for the refund anymore. Hope i can stay next time in Swiss-Bellinn Medan. It's a nice hotel tho.
