Stayed here with daughter for the start of the Cumbria Way walk. Arrived by train and it's literally right outside the train station entrance.top marks for location Twin room. Large bathroom with bath. Some may say room is dated. For price excellent . Weatherspoons for food around the corner - less than a 10 mi s walk Friendly staff filled our water bottles before we set off for our walk. All in all met all our requirements. Also for information it's dog friendly too. For £50 for night (deal if booked train ticket through trip.com got discount on Hotels.

The location is perfect, right next to the train station and it's very easy to spot the entrance. The cleanliness is definitely a work in progress. The key areas were very clean, such as the bed, the wardrobe etc. However there was dust on small things like the towel holders, behind the cupboards etc. (The only reason I checked was because my allergies were acting up but only in the room). A few cobwebs in the room that you only really notice when you're just relaxing. The bathroom was clean but in the grouting there was mould in there, so it needs sorting. The beds are uncomfortable, they're really hard on your back and both me and my partner have left with sore backs after staying, I booked a double bed and it's two single beds pushed together which would be fine if the mattresses weren't so firm. The reception staff both over the weekend and weekdays were so lovely, very friendly and welcoming and i can't fault them whatsoever. The team that refreshes the room were also lovely, very accommodating and friendly, they topped everything up in the room fast without asking and were also great. The night porter unfortunately needs an attitude adjustment, his tone and the way he speaks to you just isn't okay. Having a lovely day and coming back to the night porter being rude wasn't pleasant. All in all a lovely stay with only a few minor complaints.

Excelente ubicación, frente a la estación de tren y cerca de muchos pubs. Registro de entrada rápido y personal servicial. Habitación limpia y ordenada, baño un poco anticuado. Cama cómoda. La televisión no funcionaba correctamente. Las áreas públicas podrían estar más limpias. Buen desayuno, sería más fácil tener algunos recipientes de comida con tapa abatible. Las papas fritas estaban un poco crudas. Buena estadía en general.

El hotel estaba un poco anticuado, pero hacía calor y la cama era muy cómoda. Había todo lo necesario en la habitación y la ducha tenía abundante agua caliente. El desayuno era un poco limitado, pero había un buffet frío y caliente, zumos y bebidas calientes. Me animó a continuar mi viaje. No tengo ninguna queja; el personal fue muy amable y atento, y siempre nos saludaban al pasar por los pasillos.

The property and the ambience is lovely. The view from the restaurant garden is very pleasant and beautiful. The room size, bathroom size and amenities were good. We faced 1 major problem to be precise which made us a bit sore. Cleanliness - the room was clean except for the carpet. It didn’t feel like it was vacuumed. There was probably a pet staying in that room before us and there was a lot of hair on the carpet. I understand it is a pet friendly property and I have absolutely no problem with that. But cleaning the room properly before the next checkin is a basic expectation. We couldn’t step on the floor without our feet being covered with hair. Apart from that, everything else was very good. Breakfast was also good and the customer service was very polite and hospitable as well.

整體感覺挺滿意的。最喜歡這裏的公共廚房，是我住過的最全最好的廚房，有微波爐，電磁爐，烤箱，菜板，菜刀，各種鍋，各種盤子，各種碗，廚房用具特別豐富，很多人在這裏做飯，太方便了。就沖這點，就很棒。當然啦，住的是老房子，一個大房間裏有8個床位，沒有遮擋布，全通透。床頭衹有usb的插頭，沒有大的插頭，但是廚房和公共客廳有大的插頭。公共衞生間還是挺乾淨的。住的地理位置偏僻清幽，還是建議住在Ambleside。這個位置末班車19：35，到了這裏天氣太黑了，有點害怕，但是鄉村環境挺好。
