Ubicación y transporte: está cerca de la calle peatonal y es fácil de encontrar. Puedes tomar un taxi a las atracciones de los alrededores en 20 minutos.
Ambiente y servicio: siempre me gusta alojarme en los hoteles de Huazhu. No hace falta decir que la recepción siempre responde a todas las solicitudes.
Instalaciones: Sólo hay un ascensor en el hotel, que es relativamente lento, pero las escaleras también son muy cómodas.

Upon check in, I was told that the Single bed room I booked are all corner rooms which I requested not to have. Recommended by the front desk staff, I changed to Queen bed room and extended one more stay as the location is excellent. Room is a little outdated but for short stay it is ok. Walking distant to Xiamen Railway Station and bus stop and easy to get didi. Love the washer and dryer, super quick wash and dry.

Hotel cinco estrellas estilo antigua escuela. Habitación extremadamente grande y decentemente mantenida. Sin embargo, la ubicación no es la mejor para caminar. Está a un corto paseo de la calle Zhongshan y la salida 3A del metro, pero las aceras de China no son muy cómodas ni seguras para caminar debido a las bicicletas y dispositivos de movilidad a alta velocidad. Adecuado si tiene la intención de tomar un didi o un taxi a todas partes. Hay muchas opciones de comida, pero en gran parte similares.

It is one of the oldest hotels in the city, designed for the government executive hospitality, you can see a lot of political propaganda signs and billboards in the hotel garden and inside the buildings. Not a bad experience overall.

I have been living in China for 20 years.. and I must admit that I was impressed by this hotel!
There is a bit of space for improvement (such as being able to serve some drinks at evening) but the decoration and the work done in this Tulou is impressive.. and very beautiful!
And located in the middle of a restored area, very nice to walk at night

La ubicación es inmejorable, ya que se encuentra en pleno casco antiguo. Tiendas, restaurantes y lugares turísticos de moda están a poca distancia a pie. Por lo tanto, es ideal para familias con niños. La cama del hotel era muy cómoda y el servicio de recepción es muy atento y amable, siempre disponible.

I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay.
I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me.
I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters.
To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget.
For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms.
Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful.
The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees.
This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine.
This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit.
It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

The place is very kid-friendly, which made our stay even more comfortable as a family. The service was outstanding—thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely caring. A special highlight was the afternoon tea and evening snacks thoughtfully placed on our door handle. It was such a lovely surprise and really showed how much attention the team puts into small details. We absolutely loved this thoughtful touch 💛
Although the weather wasn’t very favorable during our stay, we still enjoyed relaxing by the window, taking in the sea view, and feeling the calm atmosphere. Even on a cloudy day, the experience was peaceful and enjoyable.
Breakfast was another big plus—delicious, satisfying, and generous, leaving us happily full and ready for the day 😄
Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a beautiful seaside experience. We truly appreciate the care and effort from the entire team and would love to visit again!

UUsuario invitadoWe feel genuinely torn writing this review. On the one hand, the hotel has many things going for it. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. Its location is also ideal if you plan to visit Wuyishan National Park or need convenient access to Wuyishan North train station.
However, we were left feeling quite disappointed due to an issue that mattered a lot to us. We had explicitly reserved a non-smoking room. Upon arrival, we were given a room that very clearly smelled of smoke. There was even a burn mark on the desk from a cigarette, which made it obvious that someone had smoked in there despite any official classification of the room. We immediately asked to be changed, and while the staff politely insisted the room was non-smoking, they agreed to move us. Unfortunately, the second room was just the same, it also reeked of smoke.
At that point, not wanting to make a scene, we reluctantly accepted the situation, but it felt incredibly disheartening. As non-smokers who are very sensitive to cigarette smell, this seriously affected our comfort and left us feeling like our concerns weren’t really taken seriously. Being moved from one smoking room to another right after raising the issue made it seem like there was no real effort to accommodate us, which was frustrating.
All that said, apart from this issue, our stay was generally pleasant. If smoke sensitivity isn’t a major concern for you, this hotel could still be a good option. But for non-smokers, we’d advise confirming room options very clearly in advance and perhaps even reconsidering if that’s a dealbreaker.

UUsuario invitadoI had a great time in Quanzhou, and the hotel was perfect. It's an excellent location, comfortable room, good design and amenities, and really friendly staff. I definitely recommend staying if you visit Quanzhou.
The only problem was afterwards they kept sending me wechat asking me for a review every hour or so, maybe just don't give them your wechat. But during my stay they were all super helpful and friendly. You should definitely stay at this hotel.
