This stay was not what I would call good... It was in fact a poor experience. By this I mean. I arrived at 3.50pm to get checked into a room that I was informed would be ready for check in at 3pm... The room was not ready, and i was told they would try to have it ready in 20-25 mins. I explained that that was not acceptable. I was told I could wait in the lobby area...I again explained that that was not acceptable. Another employee jumped in to say, I could sit in the lobby. Now I am irritated. I explained in more detail that I could not very well change in the lobby, being that I had to change and get to a wedding in Yonkers for 5.30...He then started to challenge me. Started telling me how he didn't like the tone of my voice. I then dismissed him and suggested he move away and let me deal with the situation with the desk clerk...who by the way was VERY, VERY, helpful, and whom I had no issues with, because she was doing everything she could to accommodate. The real problem was with the cleaning crew and their supervisor , who kept telling her the wrong things. I even offered for them to allow me to change, and then they could have the room to complete getting it ready. They told her to tell me that it wasn't protocol for me to do that. To which I responded that it wasn't protocol to not have the room ready. At this time the desk associate, Aaliyah, who as I said was very helpful, and who I had NO ISSUES with, and she knew that, suggested that I would be reimbursed 50% for all the stress that I encountered, and gave me the room key to allow me and my wife to change and be on our way. This is where I say common sense made more sense than ”protocol”. So my review will be....Great job handling a difficult situation by the desk associate, Aaliyah... Poor job by the room ready crew. And a terrible job by the associate who decided to challenge me in what was a difficult situation, instead of finding a way to help. 5 STARS for Aaliyah 1 STAR for Cleaning Crew (-0) for associate.

Ubicación: No está lejos de Central Park, se puede llegar caminando y, cruzando Central Park, se puede llegar al Museo Metropolitano de Arte. La estación de metro está a una cuadra, a 3 minutos a pie, muy cerca. Enfrente hay un supermercado indio, y girando a la derecha al salir, a unos tres o cuatro minutos andando, está el restaurante chino The Tang. Interior: El interior parece un dormitorio, con literas. Reservé un dormitorio femenino. En cada piso hay duchas y baños separados, duchas individuales, y el agua caliente y la ducha 🚿 funcionan muy bien. En la planta de recepción hay un lugar para comprar comida que ofrece desayuno, con frutas, bebidas y café, de 6:00 a 23:00. Al lado hay varias mesas y sillas donde se puede comer, leer o simplemente relajarse. Bajando un piso, hay una cocina común muy espaciosa, con muchos utensilios de cocina (ollas, sartenes, platos, etc.), una nevera comunitaria, cuatro o cinco fogones con horno y otros cuatro o cinco sin horno; todos se pueden usar para cocinar. También hay un área para comer al lado. Vean las fotos y videos, son todos de la cocina. Sensación general: Vale mucho la pena, ideal para viajeros solitarios. Es económico, conveniente y sin estrés. El precio promedio por noche es de 500 RMB (aproximadamente 70 USD), lo cual supongo que es muy barato en Nueva York. Vi a muchos jóvenes/estudiantes alojándose aquí. Para aquellos que quieran visitar Nueva York por su cuenta para explorar y divertirse, lo recomiendo. Si es un viaje familiar, de dos o tres personas, quizás sería más adecuado alojarse en un hotel normal.

Está muy cerca del aeropuerto. También hay un autobús de enlace, pero está etiquetado como una posada de vacaciones. Las instalaciones del hotel son relativamente nuevas y la cama y la televisión son grandes.

La amiga de Internet es coherente con la realidad: 1. Ruido (abre la puerta al lado), cerca de la calle (ambulanza de policía cada noche a media noche).2. La habitación es pequeña (abre una maleta en la puerta).3. Sin lavandería.4. El desayuno no cambia, sólo el pollo de pollo / bacon / pollo de pollo se cambia cada día. 5. El precio de la habitación es varias veces superior al de la semana en sábado.6. La duración de la estancia es de 3 p.m., no te imagines que te quedes con antelación. Por qué elegir esta tienda porque no hay muchas opciones, porque la ubicación es ventaja, cerca del Central Park de Nueva York. Observar el Museo de Arte durante días a través del Central Park (por ejemplo: Metropolis). Transporte conveniente: a 50 metros de la parada de autobús, puedes ir al Tauro/Estatua de la Libertad... La habitación está muy limpia: las instalaciones son muy nuevas. Servicio: El personal es muy agradable, Mark lo elogió especialmente 👍 Desayuno: leche/yogur/fruta/hamburguesa…

La habitación estaba sin puntos y huele bien cuando entramos. El carpeto estaba limpio. La cama estaba muy cómoda con hojas limpias de la ropa. Estaba en un extra de 2 días!

Lo único que hace que pudiera volver a ese sitio es la ubicación del mismo, así como el precio, que sin ser barato es una muy buena opción dado los precios del resto de sitios en la zona. La habitación la hacen cada 3 o 4 días. En recepción pasan de ti en ocasiones, o te dicen que ya irán pero nunca van a tu habitación a hacer lo que les pediste. Los baños son comunitarios pero siempre encuentras alguno libre. La limpieza es la justa. La habitación es pequeña pero para ir solo no hace falta más. Es vieja aunque no está sucia. Las vistas desde ella, en mi caso, eran muy buenas. Es una buena opción si no te puedes permitir algo mejor y que esté en el centro.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was under renovation so ice machines weren't working, halls were dirty, and rooms needed these upgrades. My room itself was decently cleaned but the bathroom was not. The corners had accumulated dirt\dust\tp and the bathtub had a ring around it. Shower water pressure was great and had Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available. It is also one of the few hotels I've stayed at that actually included bars of soap if that is your preference like me. The breakfast had a decent variety to choose from, especially if you just wanted something quick. I chose to head into Albany and get some real food and coffee. All of what I said above is fixable with this ongoing renovation and that should be taken into account when reading my review. What probably won't be fixed is the lack of any sort of soundproofing in the rooms. I could hear every door close on my floor and people talking in the hall sounded like they were in my room!! Strongly suggest you get a room away from the elevators if possible. Unfortunately I did not have the time to check out the Pool or Hot Tub but did see some kids having a good time in there. Location is 15 minutes away of just about everything you want to see in Albany and I was all over the place that weekend. Take an edible or Ambien to sleep through late night partiers or early risers and you will be all set!!
