A very rustic, traditional, homey guest house. No en suite bathroom but shared ones are super clean AND there is an indoor onsen!! The room was very warm and cozy, food ( must be ordered in advance) was amazing. The owners are extremely warm and friendly - gave us great recommendations and made us feel so at home. You are able to rent hiking here for a very low price. Location is very central, close to Miyanoura port, restaurants, and amenities. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly highly recommend :)

¡Muy amables y amables hostes! nos llevaron a la parada de autobús y nos hicieron una tarta vegana. El arbusto también es muy bonito y las habitaciones fueron perfectas para nuestra estadía. Si vienes a Yakushima, definitivamente deberías quedarte allí! El supermercado está a sólo 5 minutos a pie.

I loved staying here!! It had such a great communal vibe to it. One of my favorite memories from traveling Japan is sitting at the low tables in the common area, eating a convenience store dinner and watching baseball on the tv. I was only there 3 nights but it felt like it would’ve been an easy place to settle into for a longer stay. There was a fridge and kitchen, two showers & toilets, laundry, luggage storage, lockers, etc. Very close to the train station. Rooms were clean, I felt like the staff did a great job on the upkeep. I would definitely recommend you stay here. The only thing to be aware of is that the mattresses are really thin so the sleeping surface feels really hard.

The hotel is old but has a very nice atmosphere. The staff were all nice and friendly. The owner even gave us free breakfast, coffee is also free at the lounge anytime. They also have handmade Kagoshima souvenirs. It was a very nice experience.

Easy to check in and nice staff. This place has hostel/airbnb/surf shack vibes. It was not super clean but it was not terrible. I booked for one person but trip.com/booking.com booked me for the maximum occupancy (4), so it was more expensive than it should have been. Also, I selected pay at site and used my credit card as a guarantee. This Hotel is cash only, which I paid; however, I haven’t been reimbursed my guarantee from the website. So, I’ve effectively paid eight times what should have as of now. These bookings sites are always trying to scam customers, so I’m sure I’ll have to submit a claim with my credit card. That’s no fault of the hotel though.

Este lugar es increíble, corredo por una pequeña operación en las montañas de Kagoshima. El arbusto es algo fuera de este mundo. Rico con hierro y minerales de la montaña, parece algo parecido a un cine de estudio Ghibli de fuera. El personal es amable y muy útil y el desayuno es un verdadero trato para aquellos que gustan un desayuno japonés tradicional. 10/10 sería muy recomendable y se quedaría de nuevo. También se puede decir que el personal no tiene mucho sentido de ser un extranjero con tatuajes y que mi entrada a los baños era permisible.

也是在日本住上豪華大床了，對比其他酒店來説，還是公寓式，有廚具，廁所和洗漱還分了兩個房間。 老闆還給了我一瓶礦泉水，其他酒店都沒有的。 我是晚上九點多到鹿兒島機場，早沒有公共交通了，提前問過酒店這個點機場還有出租，打出租大概兩千五六日元到酒店。 這塊衹適合轉機過渡，挺偏的。 想坐去機場的直達車好像衹有早上我又起不來，其他的公交都要一兩個小時，或者兩三個小時一班，我也沒坐明白。 也沒有出租車在路上跑，想找出租衹能讓店家幫你約或者打出租車公司電話。 附近的景點，可能就是鹿兒島神宮了，我都坐公交到門口了發現去機場的小巴來不及了衹能放棄。 機場小巴如果沒有零錢的話，還衹支持舊日幣兑換。 總之，交通很艱難，還好附近有便利店。 如果老闆能看到評價，麻煩把一樓那個棚修一修，半夜下雨，雨點打在棚上太吵了，睡不好。

Great place. There is a nice cafe on the second floor. The sand springs are nearby. The room is tiny but cozy. There is a bathtub. It’s a classical Japanese styled room. There is water in the fridge. Also, if you need to buy something, there is a drug store nearby. If you decide whether to stay there or not hope it helps. The only disadvantage is that you need to walk around 20 min from the station.
