昨天醉酒，到單位對面的酒店開鐘點房休息，休息是為了更好的工作，睡了一個上午之後，下午滿血復活，又可以好好乾工作了。 整體酒店還算安靜，設施比較老，但勝在距離公司近，就在單位對面。

Staying at the Lanjing Apartment Hotel at Wanda Plaza in Hohhot genuinely felt less like checking into a stiff, predictable hotel room and much more like borrowing a stylish, high-rise apartment from a friend. I booked it primarily for the location, but by the time I checked out, it was the sheer convenience and comfort of the space that made me realize I’d probably never bother looking for another place to stay whenever I find myself back in the city. Finding the front desk initially takes a little bit of navigation since the hotel operates out of one of the massive Wanda apartment towers rather than a traditional standalone lobby, but the staff immediately made up for any initial confusion. They were incredibly welcoming, handing over the keys with plenty of great local food recommendations and a genuine hospitality that you rarely get at massive corporate chains. The room itself was an immediate relief, especially compared to the cramped, cookie-cutter layout of standard budget hotels. It was incredibly spacious, flooded with natural light from a massive floor-to-ceiling window that offered an amazing view of the city, which looked spectacular at night. The design had a sleek, modern, almost minimalist vibe, but it didn't sacrifice comfort for aesthetics. The bed, featuring a remarkably plush latex mattress, was an absolute dream to collapse into after a long day of walking. What really elevated the experience for me, though, were the practical, homey touches. Having a functional washing machine and a mini-fridge right in the room is a total game-changer if you’ve been on the road for a while or just want to unpack and feel settled. Of course, the absolute superpower of this place is exactly what sits right outside the front door. Being physically integrated into the Wanda Plaza complex means you are plugged directly into the heartbeat of the area. If I wanted a quick coffee, a late-night hotpot fix, or needed to grab a few things from a supermarket, I just had to take the elevator downstairs to the pedestrian street. There is no traditional hotel breakfast buffet here, but honestly, with hundreds of dining options quite literally at your doorstep, a hotel restaurant would just hold you back. Getting around the rest of Hohhot from there was entirely effortless. The Inner Mongolia Museum Metro Station is just a short, easy walk down the street, which connects you to the rest of the city's main attractions in no time. Plus, because it is only a quick ten-to-fifteen-minute drive from the Hohhot East Railway Station and relatively close to the airport, the logistics of arriving and leaving were completely stress-free. The property does have a couple of quirks to keep in mind. Because it is spread out across different floors of a busy commercial tower, the elevators can occasionally get a bit sluggish during peak hours, and if you are driving a car, navigating the crowded mall parking structures can be a bit of a headache. The room decor can also vary depending on which specific unit you get. But for anyone who values a massive amount of personal space, the freedom of in-room laundry, and having an entire modern shopping district right under their feet, it is an absolute steal. It gives you a genuine taste of city living with all the safety and ease of a managed property.

Location is convenient for getting to the airport. There are a few supermarkets around the area too. The staff were pretty stoic, very unlike other staff I’ve met in China who are usually more warm and friendly 😅 but nonetheless, they were helpful and I appreciate that. The room was clean and well-equipped.

The room is a little old, and not maintained very carefully: the carpet is not very clean, and there was a strong smell of cigarettes in my room. I requested a non-smoking room on the Trip.com app, so perhaps they didn't have any prepared at the time. The front desk ladies are friendly and welcoming, one of them helped me inquire about transportation options. They always have a smile which brightened my days as it was raining heavily everyday during my entire stay. This hotel provides things such as slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, and a small bar of soap. However, they do not provide bottled water, which was a first for me during all the hotels I've stayed at in China. You can get water downstairs for 2rmb. The location is right in the centre of the town, so it's close to restaurants and grocery stores. It's about a 45 minute drive to the Daqing Scenic area and the Goulaochang hike entrance. However, if you're like me and rely on public transportation, its better to arrange for a ride back with the driver that takes you there, since there's not a lot of drivers in Jinoeng who use the Didi rideshare app, and the scenic area is far from town so there's no taxis out there either. One thing that worried me about the hotel was when I found a small bug, which I suspected was a bedbug, on my body during a nap. I was told by the staff that they're just common grassland bugs, and for the duration of my stay, I haven't found any bug bites on me so I figured she's correct. I've attached a photo for those who may be concerned, but it's quite blurry as I couldn't get the camera to focus on something so small.

The receptionist lady at the hotel was very friendly, kind, and welcoming. The hotel is located in a very convenient area in the city center, which was a great advantage. However, the cleanliness of the bathroom was not satisfactory. The hotel did not provide enough bottled drinking water according to the number of guests staying in the room. I believe it is important to provide clean bottled water based on the number of guests and beds in the room. This does not cost much for the hotel, but for tired travelers who have been on a long journey, it is a small but valuable comfort. There were also no porcelain cups available for drinking tea in the room. In addition, some foreign guests were talking loudly, coming in and out of the hotel, and making a lot of noise until around 2 a.m. This made our stay uncomfortable and disturbed our rest. We had traveled a long distance and were extremely tired, so we decided to overlook these issues and requested to extend our stay for one more night at the same hotel to get some rest. However, the hotel increased the room price, which was disappointing. Furthermore, although the agreed check-out time was 2:00 p.m., we were asked to leave after 12:30 p.m. As a result, we could not finish our lunch and had to check out at around 1:30 p.m. We hope the hotel can pay more attention to respecting the agreed check-out time and providing better service for guests in the future. I sincerely hope the hotel management will pay more attention to these issues and work on improving the quality of service for future guests. Wishing your hotel continued success.

It was really convenient because it was close to the railway station. On the first day I went, I said ”I'll give you the biggest room” and they gave me a room twice as big as the one I booked. I had a comfortable stay in a big room for 2 days. The front desk was easy to find and explained everything without any misunderstandings. The view is beautiful!😀
