I stayed in a 4-person room. The room was minimalist and medium-small, with lockers – basic but comfortable. The common area is stylish and inviting, with plenty of seating, cozy corners, plants, kettles, and power outlets, though it’s on a high floor with a glass ceiling – warm when hot, cozy when cold, and the few fans aren’t always enough. The staff at the desk were friendly, laundry facilities available, though no snacks or cold drinks. The area is urban, among regular buildings, so not particularly attractive from the outside, but within walking distance to the museum and the metro station, with a large supermarket and several food options nearby. Overall, a decent place to stay in Lanzhou.

El baño tenía inodoro y ducha integrados, así que estaba húmedo. Había mucha agua caliente, aunque encenderla era cuestión de pulsar un botón. ¡Aprendí algo nuevo! Se proporcionaron artículos de aseo y toallas de papel (otra novedad). El dueño me llevó a Maiji Shan. I stayed in this hostel for a total of 5 nights, with two breaks when I went on tours outside of Lanzhou. I have put in reviews earlier, so this is my final for the hostel that had begun to feel like Home. The hostel itself is very comfortable a stay: clean, comfortable wide bed with sliding door for privacy, nice seating areas... It is run by a family who take turns staying over so that there is 24 hour reception. All are friendly and kind, especially the father. The parents don't speak English but you can easily use a translation app; other guests will probably interact with you. The location: it is situated about a 5 minute walk to the Yellow River Tower, and a further 10 minute walk to the Lanzhou Old Street area where there is an amazing array of food options. Just outside the hostel is a Halal (Muslim-run) restaurant called (Ruhua 如华）which the hostel owners say have been in operation for 20 or 30 years. The hand-pulled (手抓) mutton that I had there was fantastic, even though I am typically not a mutton eater --- the taste is a delicate and balanced mix of light spices (I could taste a hint of ginger, for example) and saltiness. And the 八宝茶 is also excellent. A 7 minute walk to the right after exiting the hostel (past the above -mentioned restaurant) to the main road where many buses ply, you will find another good mix of local food options, especially in the morning. The hostel is conveniently located near the Lanzhou West railway station. There is a bus 136 that runs just outside the hostel and gets you to the railway station in 20 minutes. Hope this helps someone deciding on where to stay in Lanzhou, since there doesn't seem such a good range of hostels. Instalaciones: Hotel de nueva inauguración con instalaciones completas, pero la cama es un poco dura y poco adaptable. Higiene: Limpio y ordenado, muy cómodo para alojarse. Entorno: El aparcamiento es cómodo y el entorno es relativamente tranquilo. Servicio: El servicio de recepción es muy entusiasta. El encargado del estacionamiento es muy serio y responsable. Llegamos tarde y no había plazas de aparcamiento. El asistente nos ayudó a encontrar un lugar para estacionar y nos guió durante todo el proceso.

Unfortunately my experience wasn't good. Hot water didn't work, it was only warm. I did it in the afternoon anyway but ny boyfriend waited untill 11pm. Elettronic key of our room never worked. We always had to call someone to open our room. About water problem they said there was an issue in all the hotel and they can fix it the next morning. We could not find a standard queen bed room, they have queen room just very expensive and for cheaper price they have only twin rooms. We paied a full amount for the night we staied but we didn't have full 100% service we should receive from the booking. They suggest us a refund to change hotel but it was so late and we are travelling with bicycles, after a ride of 150km we were too tired to move in another location during the dark at 10pm. We just needed a hot shower and a bed to sleep. Finally we received a 100 cny caution back, and the next morning ladies at reception gave us 6 small bottle of water to apologize. I'm really upset about nobody advise us about water issue during check in, so there was still time to move in another accomodation, especially for elettronic key, I can't understand why it's never worked. Be carefull for next booking about rooms at 5th level. I don't know if it's a problem only for foreign people or for everyone. Room price list are very expensive so, I think they have not a bad service. Unfortunately it's the first time during my 32 years happened this, especially during my 27 days in China, all the issue where always well reserved. This time my experience was really stressful, I don't feel like to recommended it and I hope never happen again to other travelers. Thank you anyway.

I stayed in one of the tents on the top floor of the hotel. The tents are set up quite nicely, conducive to a feeling of privacy -- they're located in a quiet, separate room with its own common area, and are remarkably spacious. The hotel owners are also incredibly friendly, and I was grateful for their help. The one substantially negative aspect of this stay was the bathroom for the tents. While the tents were located on the top (fourth) floor, their assigned bathroom was located in a closet space under the bottom of the stairs below the first floor (that is, at vertically opposite ends of the building!). Not only was this bathroom closet-sized, but it also felt like a closet inside: it was equipped with only a squat toilet and an old, stained sink with a crude plastic faucet, and various empty bottles and mechanical equipment seemed to also be stored inside. There was no shower, no hooks or places to hang up anything like a towel, and no lock on the door. Fortunately, one of the hotel owners offered that I could temporarily use the bathroom (with a shower etc.) of one of the normal hotel rooms on the third floor while it was vacant. However, it seems like the massive difference in bathroom quality between the bathroom assigned to the tents and the bathrooms for normal rooms is greater than the modest difference in price between the two room types would merit. A few small changes -- better cleaning, a door lock, some hooks, maybe a shower head -- would substantially improve the bathroom experience for the tents. Otherwise I would at least advise potential guests to be conscious before reserving a tent space.

Está un poco lejos de la entrada principal de la montaña Mingsha, pero la casera fue muy amable y estuvo dispuesta a llevarnos en coche; no es una caminata larga. Como era temporada baja, no había muchos sitios para comer cerca, pero por suerte el desayuno estaba incluido. La habitación era bastante cómoda y espaciosa, y las comodidades eran buenas. Y lo más importante, ¡el cielo nocturno estaba lo suficientemente despejado como para ver las estrellas! No nos inscribimos en ningún curso; usamos el software nosotros mismos, que funcionó bien. La casera parecía tener un certificado y fue muy profesional; lo que dijo tenía sentido. Vinimos específicamente para ver las estrellas, y aparte del transporte un poco incómodo, todo lo demás estuvo genial.

El hotel Hanting de Dazhong Lane tiene una ubicación excelente, justo en la calle peatonal. En la planta baja hay todo tipo de comida famosa en Internet. Después de comer, se tarda más de 10 minutos en llegar caminando al puente Zhongshan y, al otro lado del puente, se encuentra el parque Baita. Las habitaciones del hotel son de tamaño moderado y limpias, con ropa de cama cómoda. La señora de recepción fue considerada y atenta con los viajeros, y la habitación que organizó era muy tranquila por la noche. El encargado del vestíbulo nos ayudó con entusiasmo muchas veces con las indicaciones. El desayuno chino era pequeño pero exquisito, con un sabor casero. El café gratuito en el vestíbulo es muy fragante 👍
