In die Jahre gekommenes, grundsätzlich schönes Hotel. Leider lässt die Sauberkeit etwas zu wünschen übrig und an Details & Austattung mangelt es. Für Instagram Posts eignet sich die Unterkunft mit ihrem schönen Ausblick allerdings grandios. Lage ist ruhig und ziemlich abgelegen. Service ist sehr lieb und bemüht, obwohl die Kommunikation auf Englisch manchmal etwas holprig war. Insgesamt ein guter Aufenthalt, allerdings ist der Preis zu hoch.

Booked 2 rooms for 4 guests via trip.com with an additional request for rooms with a connecting door. In the trip.com app, we intentionally correctly filled all the guest details for each rooms. Upon checkin, the hotel’s front desk said they cant accommodate the connecting room request because they say it was booked under different names. Sadly they used this opportunity to argue with us, printing out in front of ourselves with their printer on the front desk: 2 separate reservations under different names (Maybe since we intentionally filled those guest names correctly? But the contact number and email is still the same, no?). From it we briefly saw all details like the 2 different reservations numbers they used as the crucial evidence, and how our booking was routed through ******* (From this detail one could argue the request was lost through the flawed trip.com system. Yet the hotel could’ve investigated and be more proactive after seeing a reservation for one room asking for connecting doors??). I thought hotel guests checking in at night only wanted rest, not attending trial??? Although to be fair in the end they got us 2 connecting rooms, albeit at a low floor (after the unnecessary bargaining). They required Rp200K as deposit. Room was clean, with a very useful Korean brand smart tv. Functional hair dryer, good lighting, with an in-room safe, and a small fridge/chiller. Breakfast could’ve been better, but there’s a lot of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We got valet parking but didn’t pay for it, was it complimentary because of the limited parking space this hotel has, or did we get it as compensation/goodwill, we never knew (this was not explained at check in).

La habitación es accesible, pero limpia (algunos anillos, sin embargo). Situado en el centro de la ciudad, a 20 minutos a pie de las principales tiendas ( Plaza Medan Fair/Sun/Cambridge), el autobús del aeropuerto de Damri (en frente de la Plaza Medan Fair), las salidas de masaje familiar/reflexología (Jl.Orion), y las populares cakes medan se encuentran en las salidas como ”bika ambon” (Zulaikha)/”bolu” (Meranti). El parque de coches está disponible con seguridad. Sin embargo, el desayuno complimentario sólo se establece sin opción de selección.

Don’t judge the hotel based on how it looks from outside as it might look like a run down building! The room is good, you get what you pay. Breakfast is good, local indonesian breakfast. The best part about this hotel is the staff. They might not be a 5 star hotel (I think) but the hospitality is 5 star! (From the staffs in the entrance area, to the reception counter, restaurants to the cleaning staff!) Kudos to the whole team! The location outside the hotel might be a bit creepy after 10pm to walk around because it’s dark. But don’t worry there’s always at least 2 staffs at the door and if you’re taking e-hailing service you’ll be fine, just don’t walk outside alone.

En general, Ibis Styles Medan Pattimura ofrece una estancia superior a la media y es una opción razonablemente buena para los viajeros de negocios. Su profesionalidad y su disposición a ayudar a los huéspedes contribuyen positivamente a la experiencia global. Sin embargo, la ubicación del hotel no es especialmente estratégica, lo que hace que sea menos conveniente para acceder a algunas de las principales atracciones y zonas comerciales de la ciudad. Además, las instalaciones y las instalaciones en el interior parecen algo fechadas y se beneficiarían de la renovación y modernización. En conclusión, el hotel ofrece un confort y servicio aceptables para viajes de negocios, pero no puede ser la opción más adecuada para los viajeros que buscan unas vacaciones relajadas o un estancia de ocio. El hotel sirve bien para visitas de corta duración relacionadas con el trabajo, pero hay margen para mejorar las instalaciones, la ubicación y las opciones de comida.

The hotel is old, things are run down there’s free Wi-Fi, but I never see it working breakfast. Caters only locals almost nothing available for Westerners overall it’s not a bad stay, but for my next trip, this would not be my first choice. If I have to I will stay again. Also, there are cheaper options about the same quality. The hotel stuff is nice though helpful

Perfect hotel for me and my family. A wonderful view from room through to lake Toba is so very amazing. The service was so great, so humble and very easy to understand. Will come back again when travel to lake Toba, of course

I recently stayed at the Samosir Cottage on Samosir Island from November 29 to December 1, 2024. The room was spacious, a significant plus. However, the toilet area required attention, with ants present, as mentioned in previous reviews. While this was acceptable for me, it's an area for improvement. What truly impressed me was the exceptional service from the receptionist. They clearly explained options and kindly upgraded us to a bigger room. Their helpfulness and professionalism made a significant difference in our stay. We booked two deluxe rooms, but the first room had a smoke smell, prompting us to request a change or upgrade. Overall, while there's room for improvement in bathroom maintenance and mattress covers, the Samosir Cottage's spacious rooms and excellent service make it a solid choice for those visiting Samosir Island. Checked in with tons of ants on the floor and just beside beds. Request to change to another room straight but was told no more same grade room available. Cleaner come and clean the floor and we have to use back the same room. No cupboard and only 2 hangers for a 5 person room. We dont even have place to hang our clothes and towels. Price is much moreexpensive compared to the surrounding hotel too.

Only 10 minutes from Kualanamu International Airport! ✈️ This hotel was clean, the room was spacious, and the area felt safe and wasn’t isolated. They also provided free breakfast and an airport shuttle service, which made my trip so much easier. The best part? The room was only around RM80 per night! Such great value for money. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an affordable stay near Kualanamu Airport! 🤍
