We booked this last minute because we needed a hotel after an overnight flight to use before could check in to our actual hotel. This place is near the OLD airport. They offer free transfers from and to the current airport. You need to contact them to agree timing. A taxi was 10 minutes. The lobby looks shambolic and the poor reception was rushed off her feet. Guests constantly interrupted while she tried to check us in. The room was completely unexpected ! Large clean double room, with the most comfortable bed ever. Well appointed bathroom. It was quiet and just what we needed to catch up on some sleep . Great value for money for the price we paid!

The rooms are cleaned daily with meticulous attention to detail — we were even touched to find our own tea and coffee sachets neatly arranged by housekeeping. Meals were another highlight. The food has that unmistakable home-cooked feel — warm, nourishing, made with care. When they learned I don’t eat beef or mutton, the kitchen prepared special dishes just for me, without a fuss. That kind of consideration is rare and deeply appreciated. And how could I forget Tian Tian — the gentle, lovable golden retriever who quietly added to the homey atmosphere. Her presence made the stay even more special, like having a sweet companion always nearby. MuseNomad Retreat isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to truly rest. Of all the accommodations we’ve experienced across our travels, this one touched us the most. As our three nights came to a close, I felt a genuine sadness — a quiet wish that we could stay just a little longer. Situada a tan solo 10 minutos a pie del cruce oeste de la Ciudad Vieja de Kashgar, la zona cuenta con un entorno precioso y un excelente servicio al cliente. Además, está muy cerca de lugares populares para tomar fotos, como el restaurante Grandpa's Grandpa's Dad's Naan (un tipo de plato de fideos) y el Callejón Arcoíris en la Ciudad Vieja de Kashgar.

Our stay at the Chogori Hotel was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the staff exhibited the highest level of attentive and warm hospitality. They were always eager to help, whether it was with luggage, travel advice, or simply sharing a friendly smile, making us feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are a true sanctuary of comfort. After a long day of exploring the stunning landscapes of the region, returning to a spacious, impeccably clean, and well-appointed room was a delight. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep, and the modern amenities provided all the conveniences one could ask for. However, the absolute highlight of our stay was the unique tour experience offered by the hotel. We booked their early morning tour to a local, authentic Tajik village to photograph the sunrise. It was a magical experience that we simply could not have arranged on our own. The guide was knowledgeable and respectful of the local community. Watching the first rays of sun illuminate the traditional homes and the majestic Pamir Mountains behind them was a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime moment for any photography enthusiast or culture seeker. I cannot recommend Chogori Hotel highly enough. It perfectly blends modern comfort, impeccable service, and deep, meaningful access to the local culture. The hotel is quite nice, the restaurant downstairs is really the best! Situated far away from the train and bus station but I guess everything is in Urumqi! Close to the parks in the center though!

Overall, quite a decent stay. You really can’t beat the location. It’s just a stone’s throw away from the main entrance to this side of old city. The balcony overlooks the main street and I loved sitting there and taking in the sounds and smells. The building itself is a bit older and it shows. The table in my room was a bit dirty and aged, and there was an ashtray which suggests smoking can be allowed in the room for prior guests, but thankfully there was no cigarette smell in my room. Unfortunately, there were a few setbacks. The bathroom shower did not drain well and after 5 minutes water would start flooding out of the shower room to the hallway. There are two washers in a lower room but they were both occupied with sheets that were just sitting there and had not been put through the wash cycle yet. It seemed like the hotel uses these as their main washer for their linens. When I was checking in, the front desk person seemed confused if I had a reservation but that’s about as much as I could figure out with the language barrier. My trip.com reservation said I have a late checkout of 4pm but they came to my room around 2:45pm and said I was supposed to check out at 2pm. Thankfully I had everything packed up and said I could leave at 3pm. No one came to my room to clean so my trashcan was full. You can hear everything on the street which wasn’t a big problem to me, sort of white noise drowned out by the second day. However, the second day there was a new group of tourists that arrived and spent a lot of time on the balcony (as they should) but their noise was very audible and quite annoying. You could also easily hear people going up and down the stairs and in adjacent rooms.

Reacciones adversas personales: No puedo encontrar el hotel con el nombre ”Hotel Oriental” (traducido por trip.com). (Branche de aeropuerto de Kashgar) como en Didi. No hay nevera en la habitación, no podía almacenar frutas y bebidas frías durante mi estancia de verano 4-night. Sugerencias: - Añadir etiquetas a las comidas de desayuno para evitar residuos - Los signos ingleses serían una ayuda adicional - Una vez los locales hablaban en voz alta en la noche cerca de las habitaciones un recuerdo podría ayudar.

Cons: Receptionists creates much confusion and leave a bad experience. I won't return again unless the hotel do something about front desk customer service.. Before booking, they confirmed via wechat that the hotel provides free shuttle to ski resort and guests can use laundry room. Upon check-in, the female staff confirmed the ski resort shuttle service timing and said she will set up wechat group for me. Next day, i turned up at the agreed timing and she claimed that i should have contacted the driver directly if i needed the shuttle service and told me to wait in case there are more guests who wished to go to ski resort last minute. In the end, i never used this ski resort service as revised set off timing at 10:30am was too late. I only take the free shuttle to and fro the transfer station. Even then, the front desk often do not acknowledge my wechat messages, claiming they don't monitor the phone all the time. A few occasions, i had to wait in the cold. Towards the end, i just contacted the driver directly, who is more prompt. There was one evening (about 6:30pm) i wanted to use the mini washer in the laundry room as i only had a light load and requested for help from the male receptionist on duty. He claimed the laundry room is only for the hotel's use. After I insisted, he told me he didnt know how to use the washer and told me the last wash must be before 7pm. How ridiculous! I know some hotels have laundry curfew but not so early. Some people may not even be back from the ski resort or dinner. Pros: Polite driver and breakfast staff. Newly renovated, clean interiors. Great variety in breakfast menu with changes every day.
