This was my second stay at a Banyan Tree property, and once again, it turned out to be a truly memorable and pleasant experience. Frank, our personal concierge, was exceptionally responsive and attentive throughout our stay. He was always quick to assist with our requests and even replied to messages after regular working hours. There was a minor housekeeping incident during our stay, but Frank handled the service recovery professionally and resolved the matter promptly. The thoughtful gesture of providing gifts and a cake was greatly appreciated, and my child absolutely loved the surprise. From start to finish, we felt genuinely well taken care of. Frank’s service was highly commendable, and he is definitely a valuable asset to the Banyan Tree Group. Our dinner experience at Baiyun was also superb. The ambience was wonderful, and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the complimentary photoshoot session, which became one of the most memorable highlights of our trip. Our photographer was incredibly professional and patient, guiding us throughout the session and capturing many beautiful photos. In the end, I decided to purchase a photo package because the photos turned out so well and were truly worth it. The staff there were also warm, friendly, efficient, and highly responsive. There are, however, a few areas that could be improved: 1. The menu and operating schedule for Mingyue were somewhat confusing. We had planned to have dinner there one evening, only to realize that Chinese cuisine was not served on certain days and during certain hours, which required us to make alternative arrangements. 2. The soundproofing in the room could be improved, as we were able to hear our neighboring guests quite clearly even when they were speaking at normal volume. 3. The water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. Although we adjusted it to a comfortable level, the temperature would occasionally drop suddenly and become very cold. 4. Staff could perhaps be slightly more observant and proactive. On our first day, it was raining when we arrived at the room via buggy. There was no sheltered area where we alighted, so we had to stand briefly in the rain while moving our luggage. 5. The fruit platter in the room could be fresher. The apples and oranges did not seem as fresh compared to what we experienced at other hotels in Dali and Kunming. 6. Breakfast options could be expanded further. I was also hoping to find more fresh and exotic detox juices, especially ones prepared on the spot. (Similar to Bintan Banyan Tree) Despite these minor issues, our overall stay was still excellent. The scenery and views within the resort were absolutely stunning, and we especially enjoyed being able to feed the ducks and fishes. It created a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for the family. Mingyue 的菜单及营业安排稍微有些混乱。我们原本计划某晚在那里用餐，后来才发现中餐只在特定日期和时段供应，导致我们需要临时另作安排。 2. 房间的隔音效果可以再加强一些，因为即使隔壁房客只是正常音量交谈，我们也能听得相当清楚。 3. 淋浴的水温不太稳定。虽然我们已经调到舒适温度，但水温偶尔还是会突然下降，变得非常冷。 4. 员工或许可以更主动及细心一些。我们第一天抵达房间时正好下雨，而下车的位置并没有遮雨处，因此我们在搬运行李时需要短暂淋雨。 5. 房内水果盘的新鲜度可以再提升。苹果和橙子的状态，相较于我们之前在大理及昆明入住的其他酒店，感觉没有那么新鲜。 6. 早餐选择方面可以再更加丰富一些。我也特别期待能有更多现做的新鲜排毒果汁或特色果汁。（类似Banyan Tree Bintan的安排） 尽管存在这些小问题，但整体入住体验依然非常优秀。度假村内的景色和环境真的非常漂亮，我们尤其喜欢可以喂鸭子和鱼儿的体验，让整个氛围变得格外轻松惬意，也非常适合家庭度假。未来有机会的话，我们一定还会想再次回来入住。

The room was extremely clean and spacious with 2 queen sized beds that can easily sleep 4 adults. Nice hot tub in the balcony with both cold and hot water taps, can adjust to your preferred temperature. We were entertained by the voice control of common appliances in the room. The hotel breakfast and welcome tea break were delicious, and we could enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains while having our meal. All the staff we met were very pleasant and enthusiastic in welcoming us and making our stay an enjoyable one. A special mention to hotel staff Ava who helped us collect our laundry from the dryer and sent it to our room while we spent our day outside the hotel. Free laundry service at the hotel too, just have to diy. Overall great experience during our stay here, will strongly consider staying here again for a next visit to Lijiang!

The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. Si buscas una inmersión cultural local y te gusta estar cerca de la naturaleza, este es definitivamente un hotel que no te puedes perder. ¡Lo recomiendo encarecidamente a todos! También me gustaría agradecerles por el ascenso de categoría de habitación gratuito. Todo estaba muy limpio y ordenado, y me encantó especialmente el diseño del baño, jajaja. Esta es una joya escondida de hostal, no muy lejos de la Puerta Norte del Casco Antiguo. Podrás disfrutar de la vista nocturna del casco antiguo y es increíblemente tranquilo, lo cual es fantástico para alguien con el sueño ligero como yo. El dueño fue muy amable y nos ayudó con el equipaje tanto al registrarnos como al salir. El hostal tiene ascensor, así que no hay que subir escaleras. El aire acondicionado central y la calefacción por suelo radiante del baño eran excelentes, y el lugar estaba impecable; no hubo problema alguno. El servicio de recogida en el aeropuerto fue en miniván, mucho mejor que un taxi y muy cómodo. Estaba tan emocionado por llegar a Lijiang que no tomé muchas fotos. El baño de vapor de sal también merece una visita; te deja con una sensación de relajación total. También disfruté de un masaje de aromaterapia herbal. La técnica experta del masajista y su suave presión fueron perfectas, dejándome completamente renovado. Las opciones gastronómicas también son excelentes. El restaurante de mariscos Xilehui y el restaurante Yiduo Yuntai ofrecen un menú rico y variado, con cocina de Yunnan, Sichuan, cantonesa y tailandesa, para todos los gustos. Vi algunas fotos en Xiaohongshu donde se veía el pico nevado desde el vestíbulo del hotel, pero quizás debido a la temporada de lluvias, no pudimos verlo.
