This was my second stay at a Banyan Tree property, and once again, it turned out to be a truly memorable and pleasant experience. Frank, our personal concierge, was exceptionally responsive and attentive throughout our stay. He was always quick to assist with our requests and even replied to messages after regular working hours. There was a minor housekeeping incident during our stay, but Frank handled the service recovery professionally and resolved the matter promptly. The thoughtful gesture of providing gifts and a cake was greatly appreciated, and my child absolutely loved the surprise. From start to finish, we felt genuinely well taken care of. Frank’s service was highly commendable, and he is definitely a valuable asset to the Banyan Tree Group. Our dinner experience at Baiyun was also superb. The ambience was wonderful, and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the complimentary photoshoot session, which became one of the most memorable highlights of our trip. Our photographer was incredibly professional and patient, guiding us throughout the session and capturing many beautiful photos. In the end, I decided to purchase a photo package because the photos turned out so well and were truly worth it. The staff there were also warm, friendly, efficient, and highly responsive. There are, however, a few areas that could be improved: 1. The menu and operating schedule for Mingyue were somewhat confusing. We had planned to have dinner there one evening, only to realize that Chinese cuisine was not served on certain days and during certain hours, which required us to make alternative arrangements. 2. The soundproofing in the room could be improved, as we were able to hear our neighboring guests quite clearly even when they were speaking at normal volume. 3. The water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. Although we adjusted it to a comfortable level, the temperature would occasionally drop suddenly and become very cold. 4. Staff could perhaps be slightly more observant and proactive. On our first day, it was raining when we arrived at the room via buggy. There was no sheltered area where we alighted, so we had to stand briefly in the rain while moving our luggage. 5. The fruit platter in the room could be fresher. The apples and oranges did not seem as fresh compared to what we experienced at other hotels in Dali and Kunming. 6. Breakfast options could be expanded further. I was also hoping to find more fresh and exotic detox juices, especially ones prepared on the spot. (Similar to Bintan Banyan Tree) Despite these minor issues, our overall stay was still excellent. The scenery and views within the resort were absolutely stunning, and we especially enjoyed being able to feed the ducks and fishes. It created a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for the family. Mingyue 的菜单及营业安排稍微有些混乱。我们原本计划某晚在那里用餐，后来才发现中餐只在特定日期和时段供应，导致我们需要临时另作安排。 2. 房间的隔音效果可以再加强一些，因为即使隔壁房客只是正常音量交谈，我们也能听得相当清楚。 3. 淋浴的水温不太稳定。虽然我们已经调到舒适温度，但水温偶尔还是会突然下降，变得非常冷。 4. 员工或许可以更主动及细心一些。我们第一天抵达房间时正好下雨，而下车的位置并没有遮雨处，因此我们在搬运行李时需要短暂淋雨。 5. 房内水果盘的新鲜度可以再提升。苹果和橙子的状态，相较于我们之前在大理及昆明入住的其他酒店，感觉没有那么新鲜。 6. 早餐选择方面可以再更加丰富一些。我也特别期待能有更多现做的新鲜排毒果汁或特色果汁。（类似Banyan Tree Bintan的安排） 尽管存在这些小问题，但整体入住体验依然非常优秀。度假村内的景色和环境真的非常漂亮，我们尤其喜欢可以喂鸭子和鱼儿的体验，让整个氛围变得格外轻松惬意，也非常适合家庭度假。未来有机会的话，我们一定还会想再次回来入住。

The staff are super nice at this hotel! We got the room that faces the mountains so the view was really good. They are also able to drive you to the closest old town called SuHe Old Town for free! Make sure to add them on wechat and you can easily communicate with them.

Este lugar no solo me permitió experimentar el entusiasmo y la vitalidad de Lijiang, sino que también me hizo sentir la calidez y la comodidad de un B&B. Mutian Time Designer Guesthouse, Dali | A poetic stay in a century-old Bai courtyard We’ve just returned from Dali, and the place we keep thinking about most is this hidden gem at the foot of Cangshan Mountain — Mutian Time Designer Guesthouse. Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. No fue tan bueno como esperaba. Lo más relajante de todo el lugar es el pequeño ático, ideal para ver una película y tomar algo. Sin embargo, la habitación es un poco pequeña y la presión de la ducha es muy baja, lo que dificulta lavarse el pelo. Además, sugiero que debería haber agua embotellada. Entiendo la intención de ser ecológicos, pero la seguridad alimentaria del agua en jarra no puede garantizarse, y los huéspedes no pueden beberla con tranquilidad. El paquete incluía algunas actividades, pero el personal no nos recordó usarlas ni nos informó dónde experimentarlas. Sugiero que esto podría mejorarse. El desayuno es más bien occidental, y el sabor es bastante bueno.

Esta es una joya escondida de hostal, no muy lejos de la Puerta Norte del Casco Antiguo. Podrás disfrutar de la vista nocturna del casco antiguo y es increíblemente tranquilo, lo cual es fantástico para alguien con el sueño ligero como yo. El dueño fue muy amable y nos ayudó con el equipaje tanto al registrarnos como al salir. El hostal tiene ascensor, así que no hay que subir escaleras. El aire acondicionado central y la calefacción por suelo radiante del baño eran excelentes, y el lugar estaba impecable; no hubo problema alguno. El servicio de recogida en el aeropuerto fue en miniván, mucho mejor que un taxi y muy cómodo. Estaba tan emocionado por llegar a Lijiang que no tomé muchas fotos. En general, quedé muy satisfecho con mi viaje a Lijiang.

Recientemente visité Kunming y me alojé en el Hotel Haili Binya Wanda Hot Spring. ¡La experiencia fue fantástica! El hotel es fácilmente accesible, justo en la intersección de la avenida Guannan y la calle Guangfu, junto al lago Dianchi y con impresionantes vistas. Además, está convenientemente ubicado cerca de atracciones como el Parque de los Humedales y la Aldea Étnica de Yunnan. La arquitectura del hotel desprende un fuerte encanto del sudeste asiático. Nada más entrar, te sientes como si estuvieras de vacaciones en Tailandia. La vegetación tropical y la exquisita decoración crean un ambiente relajante y acogedor. ¡Las aguas termales y el spa del hotel son realmente un punto culminante! La piscina cubierta climatizada con atrio, de 1130 metros cuadrados, cuenta con aguas cristalinas, ideales para un refrescante baño. También hay una zona de juegos infantiles donde los niños no querrán irse. En el exterior, hay 18 piscinas termales, cada una con un hermoso diseño y privacidad. El baño de vapor de sal también merece una visita; te deja con una sensación de relajación total. También disfruté de un masaje de aromaterapia herbal. La técnica experta del masajista y su suave presión fueron perfectas, dejándome completamente renovado. Las opciones gastronómicas también son excelentes. El restaurante de mariscos Xilehui y el restaurante Yiduo Yuntai ofrecen un menú rico y variado, con cocina de Yunnan, Sichuan, cantonesa y tailandesa, para todos los gustos. Cada plato se prepara con ingredientes frescos y es increíblemente delicioso. El servicio es excepcionalmente atento, desde el personal de recepción al momento del check-in hasta el personal de las aguas termales. Todos son muy amables y atentos, y cualquier solicitud es atendida con prontitud. ¡Esta estancia fue realmente maravillosa y sin duda volveré a alojarme aquí cuando esté en Kunming!

Vi algunas fotos en Xiaohongshu donde se veía el pico nevado desde el vestíbulo del hotel, pero quizás debido a la temporada de lluvias, no pudimos verlo. El hotel tiene un estilo arquitectónico antiguo, bien mantenido, y las habitaciones son amplias y limpias. El desayuno buffet ofrecía una buena variedad. Más tarde, también probamos una olla caliente de carne de yak en el hotel, que estaba deliciosa. Lo que más me impresionó fue el servicio, especialmente Kim. El hotel también ofrece muchas actividades en las que participar. Definitivamente volvería si tuviera la oportunidad.

We recently stayed at this hotel with my husband and had quite a mixed experience – some parts were truly lovely, while others left us a bit disappointed. First of all, the villa itself was absolutely beautiful and incredibly spacious. The natural hot spring water was one of the highlights of our stay — such a relaxing and unique experience. The surrounding territory is also well-maintained and very peaceful, perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature. However, it’s important to note that the location is quite remote — it took us around an hour to get to places where we could eat or enjoy a cup of coffee. This is understandable considering the mountain setting and access to hot springs. The afternoon tea was decent, and although lunch wasn’t included in our stay, we tried the local mixian noodles and they were absolutely delicious! Must try! Unfortunately, breakfast was disappointing, especially for guests like us who don’t eat pork or pork oil - there were very few options. A few maintenance and cleanliness issues also affected our stay. The outdoor pool was not super clean, some insects were swimming there. While we really loved the hot spring bathtub in the villa, the facilities could use a bit more upkeep. The toilet setup was quite basic — a minimum upgrade like a bidet spray or shower toilet would make a big difference, especially for international or Muslim guests. A more distressing part of our stay was that we found dead insects under the blanket in our bed after returning to our room one evening 🥲 I do appreciate the staff’s polite and kind response – they offered tea and explained it may have fallen from the ceiling – but for someone with a strong phobia of insects, this made it difficult to sleep and really affected my comfort. I do believe this is something that should be taken more seriously, especially in a hotel of this level. Despite these issues, the staff was very polite, cute and extremely helpful & friendly, and I can see the potential for a truly magical experience here with just a few improvements. I really wanted to love everything — and part of me did — but I was also happy to go back home, just to feel more comfortable and relaxed.
