We booked two lovely ”King” rooms - very clean and comfortable, in superb settings. The hotel is very conveniently located to allow a short walk into the town. We stayed for two nights, and there were busy weddings on both days - but there was minimal noise, and the wedding guests added to the lovely atmosphere. The hotel appeared to be almost fully booked for both days, so finding that only ONE lift was working was less than helpful (we were told that the other lift had been out of action ”for some time”, due to the hotel ”awaiting spare parts”?) Annoyingly, the one working lift only went up to the 4th floor, so to reach our room on the 5th floor we had to hump our suitcases up the stairs - minor inconvenience, but unexpected from such a prestigious hotel. Our biggest gripe was (a.) the lack of available parking spaces (one car park had a huge marquee erected on it for a function) and (b.) being told when checking in that there was a parking charge of £18 per night - even though there was no mention on the website or on the booking details. It felt rather ”cheap and petty” for a hotel to have to stoop to fleecing their guests for parking fees to park at their hotel! We estimated that there were around 150 cars - so guests with cars are subsiding the hotel by over £2500 per night. All-in-all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel set in lovely surroundings - we would definitely stay there again.

Yes the room was dated, and yes the room was hot. However the room was clean, comfortable and a fan was provided to help circulate the warm air. The windows have restricted openings most likely due to H&S but with the fan it was enough to move the warm air out and allow cooler air in. Check up was chaotic but the lady apologized and explained they had a member of the staff off sick. She worked her way through everyone as quickly as she could giving everyone the same warm welcome. Breakfast was enjoyable and the spa area was a delight offering everything you need. After checking out I realized I left my sunglasses in the room. The cleaning team were so helpful allowing me access to retrieve them and to double check I had everything

Es como un hotel retro en una película, hay una recepción en la puerta. Recuerda hacer el check-in a las tres de la tarde, si llegas temprano, primero te pedirán que guardes tu equipaje en el hotel y hagas el check-in. Después de las tres. El hotel está muy cerca de la estación, justo en la calle. Lo vi nada más entrar en la muralla de la ciudad. Está muy cerca del casco antiguo de York y de la Catedral. Camine hasta Shambles Street. Hay tanta gente comprando pequeños fantasmas. Si lo necesita, haga cola a las 9 en punto. Bueno, hay muchos lugares para comer en el mercado al lado de Butcher Street. Después de quejarme, me trasladaron a una habitación accesible en el mismo piso, a pesar de no tener necesidad de accesibilidad no hay baño, un bañera absurdamente pequeño, y un espejo colocado para los usuarios de sillas de ruedas. Si se consideraba que sería una sustitución adecuada, tal vez también deberían haber proporcionado un silla de ruedas. El hotel está en una zona de 2 estrellas, donde se encuentran 2 habitaciones. ¿Por qué me dio primero una habitación moldeada, roto, y luego una habitación totalmente inadecuada y accesible cuando el suelo ni siquiera parecía lleno? Separativamente, hubo una recepcionista blanca cuya conducta hizo que la experiencia empeorara: el dramático rollo de ojos, una actitud condescendente, seguido del sonrisa más artificial “profesional” imaginable. No puedo probar la motivación que se inspira en la asignación de la habitación, pero como invitado chino, toda la experiencia me dejó sentirse sin duda excluido y discriminado. Un cuarto terrible puede ser un accidente.

由於酒店身處哥爾夫球場之中，四周環境十分清幽、寧靜、舒適，景色亦十分美。只是它距離市區較遙遠，距離約克舊城區，有接近30分鐘車程，若不是自駕遊，就不太適合選這裏作為住宿地點，但若有自駕車，這是非常不錯的選擇，因為泊車是免費的。 酒店之中有兩家餐廳食物不錯，但價格非常高，且份量不多，是典型的fine dining，若然大家不想花費太多在食方面，在進入酒店前，最好在城區先進餐。

I've stayed at this hotel before and I will definitely be staying again. The location is ideal for me with easy access to the city centre either by walking, bus, or taxi. The rooms have always been very clean and a good size too. The buffet style breakfast is always superb and leisure facilities give you a chance to unwind in the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. The staff have always been pleasant, friendly, and polite. 5 stars from me!

La ubicación es muy agradable, el hotel está situado a 12 minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad. La piscina y la sauna han hecho la colina más divertida. La única crítica sería el desayuno ya que las opciones de desayuno son limitadas y las mismas todos los días. No había suficientes pasteles o opciones de comida caliente. Pero definitivamente no es malo. Es sólo un pequeño feedback que haría toda la experiencia un 10/10.

This was a treat from me to myself. I had a fabulous time at Middlethorpe Hall. From the spa to the dinner to the breakfast and treatment the next morning. It was a dream. The garden is also very pleasant to walk around and every single staff member I crossed paths with made sure I felt welcome. I highly recommend!

Stayed here as a Base for Horseracing Big Hotel,plenty of Parking.Spa/Pool is off site. Our Room was quite small,and we did have issues with the heating not working too well. Room was clean,Bathroom good with all amenities. TV was big,but had intermittent glitches with the picture,but nothing too bad. Breakfast was good,buffet style,so no problems there. The Spa/Pool/Gym is off site up at the top of the Car Park,which can be a chilly walk. All in all,good Hotel with decent Rooms,Breakfast,and Pool.

Perfect the staff were unbelievably nice and helpful offered a free drink on arrival helped us with any questions we had, room was lovely to be honest big tv with all Chanel’s you needed, clean and efficient nothing to complain about at all.
