The location is excellent, as the place is very close to the town centre. OK supermarket is only a 5 minute walk, the Pick n Pay supermarket is a 10 minute walk and the Victoria Falls park entrance is a 20 minute walk. I stayed in a private room with fan and bathroom. There is a mosquito net surrounding the bed to keep out mosquitoes. I can access wifi from my room. Wifi speed is reasonable most of the time but may become slow in the evening when most of the guests are back. The electrical sockets in my room accept UK-style plugs with 3 square pins. There is a lively bar facing a nice swimming pool. While the bar is nice place to chill and meet people, the music from the bar may bother those who have rooms close to the bar. (The bar music ends late on Saturday nights) Overall, because of the affordable rates and good location, this place is good value for money as long as you don't mind some bar music in the evening.

From the moment I arrived at the property, I was struck by its stunning beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The hotel is set in a lush garden, with a gorgeous view of the Zambezi River, and is just a short distance from the world-famous Victoria Falls. The rooms at the Azambezi Hotel are beautifully decorated, with all the modern amenities you could want. Each room has its own private balcony or patio, with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the decor, which reflected the local culture and history, without sacrificing comfort or luxury. The hotel's staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure that my stay was a memorable one. Whether it was arranging for transportation to the falls or suggesting local activities and attractions, they were always available and eager to help. The food at the Azambezi Hotel was truly exceptional. The restaurant offered a wide range of delicious local and international cuisine, and the presentation was always impeccable. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which featured a variety of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Finally, the hotel's location was simply unbeatable. With its proximity to the Victoria Falls, I was able to explore the area easily and take in all the breathtaking natural beauty of this world wonder. The hotel also offers a range of activities, from river cruises to guided tours of the falls, ensuring that there was always something to do and see. In summary, the Azambezi Hotel is an outstanding destination that I would recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience in Zimbabwe's Victoria Falls. With its beautiful setting, exceptional service, and top-notch amenities, it truly exceeded my every expectation. Also if you are lucky you will see some animals roaming around the garden as I spotted this elephant at night in the car park!

Gwango Heritage sits about 5 minutes drive from the Hwange Main Gate and is within easy reach from Victoria Falls/Airport. Drive about 150km in a straight line passed beautiful Zimbabwean countryside, take a right, then drive circa another 15 minutes and your there Seriously, that easy!! The hotel is much, much better than the two stars it may have. This is a countryside paradise with beautifully presented accommodation in the mist tranquil of settings. The main hotel area has an elevated pool overlooking a waterhole which is visited by herds of elephants. Sun loungers with a lounge area with elegant furniture and comfy sofas. Great WiFi in this area, the main reception and restaurants. Some rooms may pick up WiFi (but I doubt it). Seriously not an issue though. Ate at the hotel for breakfast and dinner. Really enjoyed the food (I'm veggie). Seemed to be enough on the menu for regular dietary considerations too. No need to 'rush out' to the park too early. Gate opens at 7 and you'll virtually drive straight in. No queues like Kruger (just a point worth noting). There are multiple options for game drives that the hotel can organise seamlessly. Rather than a long day from Victoria Falls, stay overnight and do 2 days in Hwange (just a thought). Finally, rooms are very cosy, comfy beds and plenty of hot water. No TV (thankfully) and internet is limited to common areas Not unusual in places that are not 'mainstream'. I would stay here again in a minute and wish I stayed a couple of more days. Thanks to all the really kind and friendly staff who effortlessly made our stay a truly excellent one.

The Kafusi Lodge is newly renovated and very clean. The guests have access to a spacious living with comfortable couches facing a flat screen TV. We had the choice of buying and cooking our own food in a fully equipped kitchen, or ordering a breakfast of eggs, sausage, beans, bread, coffee, or tea for only $10 per person. The manager, Jiyane, picked us up at the airport and personally guided us through the town Victoria Falls and surrounding areas making our experience wonderful and informative. Zimbabwe does use American dollars and some excursions are a bit pricey, but overall I recommend this destination and lodge to anyone interested in seeing this world-renowned waterfall.

Más que lo esperado, la habitación no es nueva, pero no tan mala como se imaginaba, y es razonable comparar el precio. La habitación no es grande, dos grandes sofás bloquearon la puerta del balcón, lo que hizo que fuera del balcón se necesitaba abrazar. No hay problema. El baño es amplio, pero el agua es fácil de limpiar para que se ponga en el jardín y salga. Sin ventilador, el agua de lavabo no es grande. Sin desayuno, los objetivos son básicamente todos. Hay un autobús de transbordador gratuito en la ciudad que puede ir a la puerta del parque de la caña, o puede contactar con un taxi por sí mismo. El auto llamado el hotel. . También quiero cogerme 6 cuchillos, y el precio de mercado es 5 cuchillos. El hotel ha tomado 30 cuchillos, y luego me ha encontrado con el conductor 25. Y la factura del hotel debe ser verificada claramente. ¡He reservado claramente el avión, la factura llamada me ha de recibir 60, negro!

The Hostel grounds themselves and the tent was very clean. We just did not realize that by booking a “double room” that it was actually a tent. The provided fan was nice and kept us cool in the evening and pool kept us clean during the day. The location though is a bit outside of the town center though so you either need a car or to call a taxi to get anywhere. The restaurant onsite was okay, but it wasn’t explained to us that occasionally they have a special BBQ and you can’t order anything else from the menu. If we knew that at the time, we would have stopped at the market and self catered. But the staff was all lovely and helpful.

The hotel was clean, has a wonderful vulture show at 1pm where they feed the vultures, great view of a watering hole and staff is excellent. Housekeeping came into the room every evening pulled the mosquito netting around the bed and sprayed the room. We did have a few issues. We made reservations for dinner at the restaurant and when we arrived we were told they did not get have the reservation. My husband told the bar manager who said she would handle it and I was at the bar when she was handling the reservation. I suspect that they did not lose our reservation but could not honor it for other reasons. I certainly was not happy about that. They also did not have reservations for a another party that was also traveling with us. The a/c is adequate and the key is to turn on the a/c and the ceiling fan. I would suggest to have laundry done somewhere else as there was a ”grease spot” on a shirt that was returned from laundry. I was able to remove the spot with soap and water. Additionally we were there with a tour and another couples luggage on our tour ended up on the wrong bus even though it was properly labeled. Very nice hotel but has some caveats.
