Located in a quiet area, roughly 10 minutes walk from the Tourist Centre. The reception is always empty and only open a few hours during the day. We couldn’t drop off our suitcases as we arrive at 10am. I wrote to the hotel in advance enquiring about it in advance ibut no response

We stayed outside of Taupo, it was ideal for us as we had a few activities booked.the accommodation was great. The rooms were clean and tidy.the beds were comfortable. It had everything that we needed. Hair dryer, fridge kettle iron etc. Would defo stay again. There was a pool that we didnt use as we didnt havethe time and a leisure suite. Would recommend a stay here.

We had a wonderful, quiet & undisturbed stay at the Anglers Lodge. The place is tranquil and was not crowded, so we really enjoyed the spacious grounds of the Lodge. The communal kitchen and bathroom facilities were super clean. Overall very well maintained. The pool and games room were much fun for the children. We did fishing at the bay right outside the Lodge. There is minimum 15-20min drive out from the Lodge to Coromandel and the Peninsula.

We booked via a travel agent and fully paid. When we checked-in, the staff knew that we already paid via the travel agent. After we checked out, we are shocked that the hotel double charged the room fee to our credit card without informing us. The receptionists are apathy and unhelpful. We are disappointed with Novotel.

SSeetoh Chee WaiWe have a great stay at this hotel. Its very clean, staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast provided by the hotel is really great too! It is also near to tourist attractions and good food places.

UUsuario invitadoEnjoyed my one night stay on a Thursday night in October. Room - Superior Queen #110. $92 nzd. Pros -Cheap -Comfy mattress -Great location -Clean -Spacious room and bathroom -Heat pump which was on when i arrived which kept the room at a comfy temp. -Kind front desk woman on arrival. -Old world architecture. Cons -Noisy heat pump (albeit grateful there was one) -No sound insulation so can hear footsteps easily. -Bed was 2 x singles pushed together and had to sleep either side of the gap. Tip - book a superior room type. It's my experience these are better quality. When you book the lead in room category (deluxe) they're cheaper for a reason. I would return but not on a Friday or Saturday as the sound of the street noise and night clubs would be heard easily. Thanks for a nice stay.

FFluffyTotoroI arrived in Taupo on the morning Air NZ flight from AKL, upon arrival at the Chevron Motel, 4 hours before the published check-in time, I had planned to ask to have my luggage stored while I go about other business. The receptionist kindly asked me to wait while she checked to see if my room was ready, and if so, I could have my room right away. Lucky for me it was, I was very pleased with the initiative and flexibility offered. My booking included a living area with dining table, kitchen, sofa, spare single bed, a separate bedroom, and a dedicated parking space. My stay of 5 nights was very comfortable, and I will definitely use this motel again on my next visit. I would like to offer a few suggestions for improvements, first - a split type AC unit was present in the living room, it would be great if there could be a second unit installed in the bedroom. Internet connectivity, available 24/7, while adequate, did have limited bandwidth affecting video streaming from Netflix/YouTube etc. Lastly, it would be great if the TV provided in the living room had a larger screen. In summary, I was very pleased with my stay at the Chevron Motel, the room offered great value for money, and I was completely relaxed and comfortable during my stay.

UUsuario invitadoNos quedamos como una familia de 4 habitaciones eran emaculativamente limpias, las camas eran hermosas y muy generosas, la leche local en hermosas botellas de vidrio que conectan la comunidad rural local fue un gran toque.Todos los aparatos eran nuevos y silenciosos, que significa que todos dormimos muy bien. Glenys nos dio muchos consejos sobre dónde llevar a los niños, piscinas locales calientes fueron golpeados y el dominio a la puerta de la puerta con jardines de parque y cortes de baloncesto para diversión familiar gratis, el geyser explosivo fue un gran entretenimiento, La ubicación es muy agradable para todos los paseos de la MT Te aroha, supermercado y tiendas fácilmente a pie del motel. El servicio era el segundo a ninguno. Rod y Glenys fueron increíbles hostes que fueron arriba y más allá para asegurarnos de que todos tuvimos la mejor estancia. Tenemos problemas de coches, y abrieron su garaje y tiempo para ayudarnos a volver a la carretera para siempre gratos. Volveremos pronto y hemos contado a todos nuestros amigos y familia de nuestro nuevo motel favorito

UUsuario invitadoUn lugar muy agradable. Los anfitriones, Richie y Lynn, fueron amables y serviciales. Está muy cerca de las cuevas de Waitomo y hay tres sitios para comer a poca distancia. Es tranquilo y acogedor. Ver Netflix en la televisión fue una grata sorpresa en una tarde lluviosa. El desayuno también fue muy agradable.

SSyhui HoClose to the Chartwell shopping mall, clean room and has all basic amenities. Heater did not really warm the room much and there is a centralized control at the corridor so I guess that is the reason why but the room wasn’t cold either so it wasn’t too bad staying during winter. The travelers next to our room made a lot of noise during bedtime (close to midnight) and I understand this is beyond the landlord’s control. The only thing that I would recommend is for the landlord to put up a notice to ensure that the lodgers will keep the house quiet after 10pm.

Overall, the experience was positive. However, it would have been beneficial to be informed in advance that the check-in office is located offsite, requiring approximately a 4 minute drive from the main premises. This information would have streamlined the arrival process.

UUsuario invitadoWe stayed one night en route to Hobbiton and liked it so much that we stayed another 2 later in our trip. Great location, and Cambridge is a relatively easy base to get to other places from. Beautiful decor throughout, nice finishings and really peaceful. It was very busy during our stay (around Christmas/NY) so a little wait for food/drinks but that’s to be expected. We had positive interactions with all hotel and restaurant staff. My only feedback is that the switches in the rooms have blue lights on them, which, for people that like a black-out room, can disrupt sleep. Hopefully an easy fix!
