I understand that this is the largest hotel in Kuantan and it is imposing. They decorated enthusiastically for Christmas. The rooms are large enough with clean linens and a firm mattress. The location is great since it's across the road from the largest mall. The coffee lounge was satisfactory. The main problem area was that almost no one spoke basic English well enough to understand simple requests. They try and mean well but only a few could understand what I wanted. This was very frustrating. We stayed in this hotel three years ago as well, and there was not this problem at that time. Also, the safe in our room did not work.
The room was spacious, perfect for a small family. The highlight, of course, was the view, sea and pool views that were absolutely lovely. One night was definitely not enough. Just open the window and you’ll feel the sea breeze; so calm and so beautiful.
Breakfast was fairly normal, nothing fancy. If you’re not local, I’d recommend going out for breakfast around Kuantan town, there are so many great options to choose from.
For dinner, Ana Ikan Bakar Petai is just right in front of the hotel. It’s the most famous restaurant in Tanjung Lumpur and within walking distance.
Definitely will come again for a short vacay.
I think this is the best resort we’ve stayed at in Pahang/Terengganu. The grand entrance was very welcoming, with a beautiful interior and great ambience. The rooms were fully renovated and tastefully done, and the mattress was super comfortable. We really enjoyed the sea view from our room, it was very therapeutic.
We had a great time overall. The kids enjoyed playing in the kids’ pool and spending time at the beach. The beach was well maintained, with plenty of chairs available, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices, and the food suited our taste really well.
Will definitely come again!
Our check-in experience at AC Hotel Kuantan was smooth and pleasant. The front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and very helpful, which made us feel welcomed right from the start.
We booked two rooms with a connecting door, which was extremely convenient for a short vacation with our parents, who are senior citizens. The connecting rooms made it easier to move around, keep an eye on them, and ensured everyone felt comfortable and secure throughout the stay. It was definitely the right choice for a family trip.
The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with a calm and modern ambience. The bed was cozy, the bathroom was clean, and the overall setup was perfect for resting after a long journey. The hotel location is also strategic, close to Kuantan town and easy to access nearby eateries.
Overall, AC Hotel Kuantan is highly recommended for family stays, short getaways, and travelling with elderly parents. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
We had such a pleasant family getaway at Colmar Tropicale with our two little ones. The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable from the moment we checked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to assisting us with bags and stroller access — something we truly appreciate as parents of two babies!
The French-inspired village is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for slow family walks and photos. Our room was clean, spacious enough for the babies’ essentials, and comfortable for all of us. We also loved how calm the environment was, making nap times easy.
had a pleasant stay overall, but the pool could definitely be improved. When we arrived, the staff were still in the middle of cleaning the pool. Even after they were done, the water was still a bit cloudy and didn’t look fully clean. Hopefully the hotel can maintain the pool better because everything else about the stay was good
I enjoyed my stay at Shahzan Hotel Kuantan, especially as a business traveller needing a quick rest. The hotel is centrally located in town, making it very convenient with easy access to food and nearby amenities.
The breakfast selection was basic but reasonable for the price. The air conditioning was super cold, and the shower water pressure was excellent—definitely a plus after a long day. Underground parking is free, though spaces are quite limited.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and I would consider staying here again in the future. 😊
I had a nice time in The Chateau Sp & Wellness Resort. It's located in the hills outside Kuala Lumpur where it's cool and when I was there it was raining which made it even cooler. Breakfast was good, specially the first day when there was more choice. In the evening there was apparently another service offered in my room but I wasn't informed about that so I had no idea why someone was ringing my bell and calling me. It would be good if all services would be explained very well.
Fabuloso

LlikoniaThe best stay ever! Lepas ni memang duduk sini je 😍 tempat selesa & bersih! Customer service terbaik! Disebabkan kami stay dekat sini tanpa dirancang, jadi nak taknak kena basuh baju kotor. Yup ada washer & dryer 2in1. So basuh semalaman, ingatkan esok tu dah kering. Rupanya dryer unit kita orang ada problem, tapi customer service sangat pantas bagi solusi! Staff tolong keringkan dekat unit lain & kita orang dapat check out lambat sampai baju kering tanpa bayar extra! Thank you so much! My family dari Sarawak nak repeat duduk sini lagi! Harga pun berbaloi walaupun time cuti sekolah ya! Yang penting cantik!
MmangosellerI stayed at Crockfords Hotel Genting in early October 2025 and was genuinely disappointed by the level of service — especially for a hotel that claims to be Malaysia’s leading luxury property.
On 3 October, I approached the concierge Duty Manager around 9:40am regarding the hotel Wi-Fi, which kept showing an “invalid credentials” error. Instead of taking the initiative to verify the problem — which turned out to be something as simple as incorrect login details given at check-in — he insisted that the IT team would need to come into my room to fix it.
Later in the day, another staff member resolved the issue within minutes by simply checking the credentials. It’s baffling how the Duty Manager couldn’t do something that basic.
Throughout my stay, I also noticed that many of the staff seemed lost and unsure of how to handle simple situations — almost like the blind leading the blind. There was a clear lack of coordination and communication among them.
The breakfast experience was another major letdown. I had breakfast there for three consecutive days, and throughout, the food was never hot — the noodles in soup were the only consistently warm item served. To make matters worse, the staff did not communicate properly among themselves. On one morning, we were told to wait while a table by the window was being cleared for us. After waiting a good five minutes, another group of guests was allowed to take the exact table we were waiting for. The explanation given was simply that “the other guests wanted the table.” Completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre.
The only saving grace was the Duty Manager working on 5 Oct and overseeing the breakfast buffet, who was attentive, proactive, and took the initiative to check if guests needed drinks or assistance. His professionalism truly stood out amidst the confusion elsewhere.
For a hotel that boasts winning the Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star Award seven years in a row, this experience was frankly a joke. The gap between Crockfords’ reputation and its actual service standards is staggering.
Truly disappointing and nowhere near what one would expect from a so-called luxury hotel.
PS: At least the view was great.
UUsuario anónimoA good staycation place for families with young children. At first, the toilet drain was clogged and water was pooling. We called the lobby, and about 10 minutes later the repair technician came and fixed it — very fast service.
The swimming pool is shared with the residences. You need to follow the correct directions, otherwise you might get lost like we did 😂. The kids’ pool has warm water. The atmosphere at the top-floor pool is cool and refreshing. Swimming attire rules are quite strict.
There are many food outlets nearby within walking distance. Breakfast has a wide selection and is quite good. The playground and landscaping next to the café are very beautiful, with a misty view.
Overall, love it ❤️
EElaine_0101I stayed at Antara Residence @ Sleeping Lion yesterday and had such a wonderful experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their warm hospitality really made my stay extra special.
The cleanliness was absolutely top-notch. The room was spotless, fresh, and very well-maintained. Everything was neat and comfortable, which made it so easy to relax and enjoy the stay.
The sea of clouds was absolutely beautiful, and the air was cool and refreshing — such a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere!
Overall, I’m extremely satisfied and would definitely recommend Antara Residence @ Sleeping Lion to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. I’ll surely come back again!
UUsuario invitadoThis hotel showing sign of aging especially the toilet. But is a small issue. Still a better hotel compared to First World. However during our first night stayed the hotel had issue with the water for the whole hotel. There is no hot water from the tap for the whole night. My family had to shower in cold water as was told they won’t be able to fix it that night. We had a very cold shower and was shivering from it. There was no recovery service from the hotel and we were not even informed of the breakdown until when we wanted to shower. We were given a room a Valley Wing and it was right at the end. The walk from the lobby to the room takes around 5mins as we had to take a lift up to level 5 and walk at a long walkway to our room at level 7. The room was noisy as it was just next to a road. So you can heard the motorbike voorm voorm in the night. Is still a comfortable no frills hotel. Just have to put your expectations down.
UUsuario invitadoWe were a party of 5 people. We truly enjoyed our stay the entire duration. The Service was really top notch. Most of what we requested was granted which make our stay truly memorable and enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent. Will be looking forward to return again with more of our other family members to experience the hospitality.
