I stayed at Fujisan Station Hotel and found it quite convenient overall. The location is excellent, just across from Mt. Fuji Station, making it very easy to get around. Check-in was done with the staff and went smoothly. Free parking is available, which is a plus. There is no onsen and no complimentary bottled water, but there is a free ice machine in the dining area, along with vending machines for snacks and drinks. The water faucet is an old-style rotary type. Breakfast starts at 7:00 AM, but food runs out quickly due to the large number of guests. The buffet includes scrambled eggs, grilled mackerel, rice, miso soup, salad, fresh milk, and granola. The small bread rolls and mini croissants were not very good. The twin room was clean, but the beds were quite firm and not very comfortable.

My mother and I stayed at The Toki for three nights in mid-April, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything about the property felt thoughtful and comfortable. The hotel is about a kilometre from the station area, and they make this commute effortless with a shuttle service running multiple times an hour between the station and the reception. Since the villas are set on a steep slope, they also shuttle guests up and down between the reception and the villas, which was incredibly convenient and much appreciated. When we checked in, they had a Mount Fuji-shaped chiffon cake waiting for us in the dining area. It was delicious! One of the things we loved most was the breakfast service. Each morning, breakfast was delivered directly to our doorstep; at check-in, we were simply asked to choose our meal from the menu and select a delivery time. Great way to start the day. They also offer daily housekeeping, and if you choose to skip it on any day, they give you coupons to use at the little shop near reception, which stocks food ike cup noodles, cakes, chips, nuts etc., and fun souvenirs as well. The staff were consistently warm, friendly, accommodating and helpful, and their excellent English made everything especially easy for us. The villa itself was outstanding. Ours had completely unobstructed views of Mount Fuji from every window on both the floors, including the bathroom, which was amazing. Waking up to those views each day was unforgettable. The sunny, clear days were a huge bonus. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and there was even barbecue equipment for the large terrace. The villa was impeccably clean and equipped with every amenity we could possibly have needed. We had a truly fantastic stay at The Toki, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable stay in Kawaguchiko.

It was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.

¡Desde esta villa con azotea, tener el Monte Fuji para ti solo es así de fácil! Al principio, cuando reservé, vi muchas reseñas negativas sobre lo inconveniente que era el transporte. Por eso, me preparé con antelación y coordiné con el hotel para que nos recogieran en Kawaguchiko. Aunque hubo que esperar, la experiencia general fue bastante buena. El supermercado queda a unos 15 minutos andando del hotel. En un lugar donde apenas hay taxis, moverse implica confiar en tus propios pies, lo que resulta en una experiencia de vida diferente. Sin servicio de comida a domicilio ni transporte público, a veces se siente como un regreso a lo esencial, muy auténtico. La villa de tres plantas está equipada con todas las comodidades, tanto las esperadas como las que ni siquiera habías imaginado. De verdad, no puedo evitar admirar la meticulosidad de los japoneses. ¡Magnífico!

El personal del hotel fue muy amable. La decoración no era especialmente lujosa, pero había una parada de autobús cerca, lo que facilitaba el acceso a la estación. Tenga en cuenta que el último autobús sale a las 17:45; después, puede tomar un taxi o volver andando al hotel. El desayuno tenía una selección limitada, pero lo básico era suficiente. Las opciones para la cena eran limitadas, así que recomiendo cenar en un restaurante al aire libre. El paisaje depende del clima, pero la tranquilidad del hotel bien merece la pena.

I booked this hotel because the promotion made it seem luxurious, but the surroundings feel odd, almost like all the trees have been removed by purpose, littered with dry leaves and fallen branches. It feels dirty and poorly cared for. I was expecting a neatly landscaped area with grass and trees, but instead, the outside feels like a barren, lifeless space. That said, the inside of the room looks very good. The accommodation consists of two separate large caravan‑style rooms. They are not very spacious, but they are sufficient for a family of four. One of the rooms has slightly less living space because it includes a larger bathroom, with a full‑size bathtub. This is something you rarely find in Tokyo, where most bathtubs are quite small, so this was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we struggled with the bathtub controls as it was written in Japanese, we couldn't use it after all. Also, the heating system are all labeled in Japanese, and there were no clear instructions in English. As a result, we didn’t figure out how to use the heating until the second night. We stayed for two nights in total. There is an outdoor spa area, which is interesting and enjoyable. We used it and found it quite good, although it is small. It works best for two people, three is a tight squeeze, and four would be uncomfortable. The sauna is decent and operates daily. Breakfast is served at set times rather than as a buffet, likely because the hotel only has 14 rooms. Guests must choose a time slot, such as 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30. We chose 8:30. Breakfast is a set menu rather than self‑service. Each morning includes a starter, a main dish, and some small item to finish, well enough for us. The first day was Japanese‑style, with a rice‑based dish. The second day was Western‑style, with a sandwich as the main course and fried eggs with pork belly. The food tasted good, but we would have appreciated more water. We did not ask for refills, as staff left the area after serving. Finding the hotel is a bit difficult. The entrance sign is blocked by a car park sign, making it very easy to miss. You need to drive very slowly, or you will pass it without realising it. We spent several minutes searching before realising this was the place. Be prepared to see a car park with two signs, where one directly blocks the hotel’s entrance sign.

An Unexpected Gem – One of the Best Resorts We’ve Ever Stayed At We booked this resort near Mount Fuji very late, and we were really worried because almost everything was already sold out. But it turned out to be one of the most wonderful stays we’ve ever had on any of our trips to Japan. The resort has several staff members who speak Vietnamese, and they helped us so much. Every time we needed to go somewhere, the shuttle bus took us to the station—even the times when I requested it late without booking an hour in advance, they still tried their best to arrange a pickup. Their kindness truly showed how much they care about their guests. From the driver to the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and always smiling. They were genuinely adorable and made us feel so welcomed. Our room was a huge surprise: a massive apartment-style space with four beds even though there were only two of us, plus two bathrooms. Everything was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The resort is located in a large forest, so the moment you step inside, you can smell the gentle scent of pine wood everywhere. The atmosphere feels grounding and refreshing—as if the Earth itself is recharging you. One of the best parts is that they have dedicated areas for pets. I got to play with some of the guests’ pets, and it was honestly such a sweet experience. Breakfast was delicious every morning, in a very authentic Japanese style. I went down for breakfast every day, and the dining area has a beautiful view of Mount Fuji—I even recorded some stunning videos there. I never imagined I would be able to book a resort this amazing. It seems like it has been operating for many years, with a rustic and warm charm that I absolutely fell in love with. Down at the reception area, they also sell all kinds of Mount Fuji souvenirs. When you’re out sightseeing in the Fuji area, you tend to buy a lot of souvenirs and snacks, which makes your bags very heavy—but the resort sells everything right there. I compared the prices, and they were actually much cheaper than the tourist spots, so we bought all our gifts there. Super convenient! I genuinely want to come back to this resort for future trips. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I absolutely adore it. Highly, highly recommended.

Nunca he escrito una reseña sobre Ctrip, pero tengo que escribir una hoy para Yunshang Hotel. En primer lugar, quería elegir una habitación con vistas al Monte Fuji en el lago Kawaguchi con unas 2 semanas de antelación. ## Transporte Si vienes desde Tokio, por ejemplo, Shinjuku, bájate en la parada 'Fuji-san Yamanakako Iriguchi (138)', lado B. Por eso compré hasta la estación de Asahigaoka; el precio es el mismo y el autobús también para allí (toca el timbre), así que no hubo ningún problema. Una vez en el hotel, no olvides reservar también la hora del servicio de transporte para la vuelta. ## Entorno El hotel está en la montaña, con unas vistas muy claras del monte Fuji. Aunque el hotel tiene sus años y las instalaciones son un poco antiguas, están muy bien conservadas. ## Servicio El personal es muy amable y atento. Si has reservado la cena, debes confirmarlo con el hotel con antelación; Ctrip también te llamará para preguntar si prefieres comida japonesa o occidental. Si no has reservado la cena, puedes consultar la página web del hotel, elegir lo que quieras comer y reservar con antelación. La cena empieza a las 6 de la tarde, ¡recuerda ser puntual! ## Onsen (Baños Termales) Hay dos onsen, y en uno de ellos puedes bañarte mientras disfrutas de las vistas del monte Fuji, lo cual es muy placentero. Sin embargo, un detalle es que el onsen no proporciona toallas, ¡así que asegúrate de llevar la tuya! Pero al hacer el check-in, nadie nos avisó que teníamos que llevar las toallas de la habitación al onsen, ni tampoco vimos ningún aviso en la habitación. (Aunque vi a otros huéspedes con toallas, no sé dónde habrán visto esa información o si se me escapó 🤔). En resumen, es un hotel excelente, ideal para un viaje tranquilo y unas vacaciones relajadas. La próxima vez, me gustaría quedarme unos días más 😊
