Amazing stay with very friendly staff, even thise who are helping with breakfast. Great location just in front of the train station. The room was spacious, the bathroom had a great bathtub, and amenities were not lacking. They have the breakfast lounge open from 12-8pm, where you can work or chat or just people watch in front of the station and have coffee, tea and soda available. You can also eat your food here though the microwave is on a different floor. I would definitely come back to this hotel, as I fell in love with Morioka.

We were two people staying 3 nights. We had breakfast and we were very happy with it (6:30-10:00, L.O 9:30). It didn’t change much during the stay, but it had a lot of options and it tasted good. The room was small. If you have suitcase it will be hard to open it up. We didn’t have suitcases, so for us it was no problem. The bed and pillows were comfortable. They have a manga library and coffe machine (15:00-22:00), and space with tables and chairs where you can e.g eat. They have laundry as well (10:00-22:00). It was cheep (washing 400 yen 30 min, dryer 100 yen 10 min). It was a standing washing machine (which I don’t really like) and we had a lot of laundry, so we went to another coin laundry 1 min walk from the hotel, which was good (washing 15 kg 30 min 800 yen, drying 10 min 100 yen). We didn’t use room cleaning, but every day we got a bag of towels on our door knob. It is around 10-15 min walk to the station. But it’s close to shopping streets and Iwaki park. It has a lot of restaurants close by. If you like all-you-can-drink there’s a lot of options close by as well. After check out we left our baggage for a couple of hours. It was no problem. The people at the hotel were very nice and polite. Overall we had a very nice stay at this hotel.

Stunning location! Walked into the lobby and was floored by panoramic views of the cape. The hotel isn't modern or new, but it's well-maintained. Stayed in the tatami room and it's extremely spacious. Opt for the dinner buffet as there aren't lots of dining options unless you drive. Breakfast was full of Western and Japanese options. Oiishi!

Toyoko Inn well known as one of big chain Hotel in Japan among others. This is my first time to stay at Toyoko Inn and I am happy! Despite I still confused how to go there from Morioka Station (we need to going down from underground and there is a lot tunnel 😭) The building was closed to everywhere. Food was great! And they clean my room on day 2 (I thoughts they only clean on day 4) and i wasn’t prepare it so my room completely messed up. Sorry! T

The best ski in and ski out and Onsen hotel in Japan so far! We loved the hotel so much in Oct 2025 so we rebooked and came again from Dec 20-24, 2025. 1. Very convenient for ski experience. Ski in and ski out. Ski rental and ski coach school are just besides hotel. Good experience for rentals and coaches hiring. 2. Breakfast and dinner buffets are great and so yummy! The food does change every night to give you diversified variation to choose from. Very delicate food preparations by great chefs so don’t worry you will never get bored. 3. Onsen is also great great great! Great view and women and men get alternate the hot spring pool everyday. 4. First floor relaxing area is great great! You have self service bar of juice / soda / coffee and popsicles. 5. The hotel staffs are so nice and make you feel at home. Motoyo-San is extremely friendly and her English is so fluent!!! We were very lucky to have her help out during our stay. 6. 3rd floor is newly renovated so pls try this beautiful room next time! Highly recommend!!!! Great for family and couple trips!

I stayed at the hotel for three nights. Since it only opened this May, all the facilities are new, and the breakfast was fairly rich. However, my overall impression was lower than expected due to their consecutive-stay policy. For guests staying multiple nights, housekeeping only provides fresh towels and garbage collection each day, while a full room cleaning is done once every three days. This policy seems environmentally friendly, but in practice it creates several issues. First, the staff enters the room to collect trash but does not check whether essential supplies, such as facial paper, are sufficient. Guests must call or go to the front desk to request refills. Second, bottled water is not provided daily for consecutive-stay guests, so drinking water basically comes from vending machines. Most importantly, this policy is mandatory and offers no choice. If you want daily cleaning, you must pay an additional 1,500 yen per time. This makes the policy unattractive for long-stay guests and, ironically, less appealing than booking one night at a time.

We had a pleasant stay in general. However, room ceaning service needs to be improved. Our group of people have a few bad experiences. 1) after returning to room after the day, there was a used mask left in the bathroom. There’s also a day without providing onsen towels and we had to bring over the mid size ones 2) the door of my friend’s room remained open after the cleaning service (a 3M sticker with なすし2 sticked on wall). Glad there’s no missing items 3) another room, there was blood and urine stint left on the toilet cover! I hope the hotel can take it seriously as it indeed ruins the brand of IHG and bad customer experience.

El hotel está situado en la parte superior de la pequeña colina, a pocos minutos a pie de la estación de tren de Sanriku Tetsudo Horinai, que es un buen tren de escena. This hotel is really out-of-the-way; I'd recommend driving. It's mainly a place to go if you want to ski, as it's by a ski resort. I found the area to be very quiet. The hotel food was excellent, though you'll need some level of Japanese proficiency to effectively communicate with the staff. You can enjoy a bath in your room, or the hot springs downstairs. Overall quite nice, the rooms have a cottage feel.

En las vacaciones en Japón, con JR paseo (viajando por tren), la ubicación no es tan lejana de la estación de tren (1.3 km - 10 - 15 minutos a pie, fácil para mí) pero no hay transporte público. Ideal, sin embargo, si tiene un coche como está fuera del centro de la ciudad, fácil de aparcar. La cama única era buena, todo lo que necesito para descansar. El desayuno era ”no es especial” pero hey, es bueno que está allí ( tostadas, jamón, yogur, algunas saladas de patata con un corte de ham, café, leche, jugo de manzana). cerca 7-Eeleven ( para cenar). Las instalaciones incluyen lavandería, microondas, agua caliente (para bebidas en lavandería). Esto a un precio que fue mucho más barato el sábado por la noche que cualquier otro hotel, así que si usted es un viajero de presupuesto, todo lo que se necesita puede encontrar allí
