一棟小別墅，房間整潔乾淨，很温馨安靜，服務很好很熱情，我們住3樓，沒有電梯，行李箱都是店家幫拿上房間的，停車也算方便。周住環境不錯，出行也方便，沿河邊步行20分鐘邊觀景過走很快就到達鬧市區的旅遊景點，唯有早餐很貴。一天兩晚還算是愜意的體驗吧。

We booked two lovely ”King” rooms - very clean and comfortable, in superb settings. The hotel is very conveniently located to allow a short walk into the town. We stayed for two nights, and there were busy weddings on both days - but there was minimal noise, and the wedding guests added to the lovely atmosphere. The hotel appeared to be almost fully booked for both days, so finding that only ONE lift was working was less than helpful (we were told that the other lift had been out of action ”for some time”, due to the hotel ”awaiting spare parts”?) Annoyingly, the one working lift only went up to the 4th floor, so to reach our room on the 5th floor we had to hump our suitcases up the stairs - minor inconvenience, but unexpected from such a prestigious hotel. Our biggest gripe was (a.) the lack of available parking spaces (one car park had a huge marquee erected on it for a function) and (b.) being told when checking in that there was a parking charge of £18 per night - even though there was no mention on the website or on the booking details. It felt rather ”cheap and petty” for a hotel to have to stoop to fleecing their guests for parking fees to park at their hotel! We estimated that there were around 150 cars - so guests with cars are subsiding the hotel by over £2500 per night. All-in-all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel set in lovely surroundings - we would definitely stay there again.

Yes the room was dated, and yes the room was hot. However the room was clean, comfortable and a fan was provided to help circulate the warm air. The windows have restricted openings most likely due to H&S but with the fan it was enough to move the warm air out and allow cooler air in. Check up was chaotic but the lady apologized and explained they had a member of the staff off sick. She worked her way through everyone as quickly as she could giving everyone the same warm welcome. Breakfast was enjoyable and the spa area was a delight offering everything you need. After checking out I realized I left my sunglasses in the room. The cleaning team were so helpful allowing me access to retrieve them and to double check I had everything

Hotel was quite easy to find & access was quite good. Good car parking arrangement with the council for 2 day's. Disappointment the hotel didn't offer an evening meal so we had to go out & find it which wasn't ideal as when booking we noticed a restaurant on site. Only coach parties would be entertainment apparently. Breakfast covered hot & continental which was good to us. Our room however was far from satisfactory to us but we tolerated it & didn't complain. The bathroom door handle was troublesome to open so instead of fixing it they put a sign on the door telling us what to do.. The bathroom blind was also broken. The very small room had a tiny bed which was far from comfortable. We paid a lot for 2 nights which we regret so alas we won't be returning.

We had the most gorgeous stay at No.1 Guest House - if there wasn’t so much to see and do in York we would have happily just stayed in and enjoyed the hotel all weekend. The staff were amazing, especially Ellie, who made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. We loved just sitting in the bar area with a cocktail (the rosy margarita was amazing) and looking at all the art and the cute steam train. The hotel is sooo cosy and perfect for this time of year. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful hotel only 10 minutes walk from the city centre  Our room was clean and cosy  In the room was hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as tea/coffee facilities and an electric fan which was definitely needed with temps reaching 29 degrees 🥵 The outdoor area was stunning with lots of seating and little pods to dine in of an evening very pretty all lit up at night  All the staff were friendly and helpful  We will definitely return in the near future.

Es como un hotel retro en una película, hay una recepción en la puerta. Recuerda hacer el check-in a las tres de la tarde, si llegas temprano, primero te pedirán que guardes tu equipaje en el hotel y hagas el check-in. Después de las tres. El hotel está muy cerca de la estación, justo en la calle. Lo vi nada más entrar en la muralla de la ciudad. Está muy cerca del casco antiguo de York y de la Catedral. Camine hasta Shambles Street. Hay tanta gente comprando pequeños fantasmas. Si lo necesita, haga cola a las 9 en punto. Bueno, hay muchos lugares para comer en el mercado al lado de Butcher Street. Puedes almorzar aquí cuando te canses de caminar.

Hotel absolutamente hermoso, desayuno abundante, la cama era para morirse, no quería salir de ella, el inconveniente es el estacionamiento, un desastre total cuando el personal estacionaba allí y tenías que ir a otro lado para estacionar, lo que costaba 22 o 30 libras, dependiendo de qué estacionamiento, los autos para discapacitados ni siquiera tenían credenciales y tampoco se revisaron, aparte de esa noche fabulosa en la que recibimos latas de agua gratis y galletas gratis en recepción.

Si usted es chino, sugiero que piense dos veces antes de quedarse aquí. En el edificio del lado me asignaron primero una habitación que se reequipaba de molde y tenía un baño roto. Después de quejarme, me trasladaron a una habitación accesible en el mismo piso, a pesar de no tener necesidad de accesibilidad no hay baño, un bañera absurdamente pequeño, y un espejo colocado para los usuarios de sillas de ruedas. Si se consideraba que sería una sustitución adecuada, tal vez también deberían haber proporcionado un silla de ruedas. El hotel está en una zona de 2 estrellas, donde se encuentran 2 habitaciones. ¿Por qué me dio primero una habitación moldeada, roto, y luego una habitación totalmente inadecuada y accesible cuando el suelo ni siquiera parecía lleno? Separativamente, hubo una recepcionista blanca cuya conducta hizo que la experiencia empeorara: el dramático rollo de ojos, una actitud condescendente, seguido del sonrisa más artificial “profesional” imaginable. No puedo probar la motivación que se inspira en la asignación de la habitación, pero como invitado chino, toda la experiencia me dejó sentirse sin duda excluido y discriminado. Un cuarto terrible puede ser un accidente.

El hotel está en una ubicación perfecta. La primera habitación estaba un poco deteriorada y, al estar en la parte trasera del hotel, cuando se lo pedimos, nos cambiaron enseguida. El personal es muy servicial y muy amable. Un lugar ideal para una escapada corta. Solo estábamos mi perrito y yo, y lo recibieron de maravilla. Me encantaría volver.
