Beautiful location and for the most part the service was great. First the pluses ....beach is super and the staff down by the beach was friendly and welcoming and they do a great job of creating safety (lots of lifeguard drills it appeared!) and overall the sense of a lovely vacation feel. There are golf carts to take you everywhere on the property, which is pretty necessary as the property is steep and quite spread out. You just give a call and someone shows up in minutes. Many of the drivers have a great personality, just made it surprising when a few of them seemed not friendly--and for us there was no need to speak English--I was always happy to try my Spanish! Ditto for the staff in the main restaurant--some were friendly and welcoming and a few others were all business and not very welcoming or patient. On with the plus items...the beds are very comfortable, rooms are private and quiet, and the policy of free mini bar snacks (with free restocking) is wonderful! The monkeys and iguanas --and sloths--on the property are terrific. There is a dinner in the beach restaurant on Wednesdays, Sats and Suns and since we were only there for the Wed dinner, I wish that the staff at breakfast had reminded us of it and also, there could be a small guide in the room that would include the beach dinner evening schedule as well as a map of the nature trail --with distances. We wanted to walk it ourselves, without their guide, but didn't have a good sense of the overall length of the trail. There was a little sense that they wanted to encourage us to sign up for their guided (for a fee) walk. The food in the main restaurant was good, but not exceptional and the dinners are quite expensive. The breakfast has many choices and again, it's good but not exceptional--but nice that it's included in the room price. Overall, however, it's a lovely place, clearly the nicest place to stay in Manuel Antonio, but also quite pricey, which you know if you're reading this! Trip.com had the best price by far, at least for November.

Valle Escondido has a great view over the valley and good nature trains where you can spot animals and birds in their environment. The staff are very welcoming and helpful with nothing being too much bother. The restaurant serves home town produce however the menu dos not vary between lunch and dinner so staying there for a few days and eating at this restaurant can become repetitive/limited choices. Whilst nature takes and eco ethos takes front stage there are a few little things that could be improved to ale their offering better: - more comfortable seating areas - this would help guests relax and be bake to sit comfortably during days when it’s raining. There’s little spaces for this at present. - vary the menu between lunch and dinner - possibly add a swimming pool / jacuzzi to increase relaxation or enhance luxury - rooms above the gues shop and by the Landry could do with some modernising. Overall, this is a great hotel to stay at and the above enhancements could make it excellent. The location is quiet (nature is the only thing making noises!) and it’s easy to get a taxi ordered into town costing some USD 6. If asking the reception to organise the cloud forest tour please note this does not include pick up from hotel and a taxi there will likely cost USD 20). Hotel staff were amazing. Hotel muy bien situado justo a la entrada del parque Manuel Antonio (escasos 100m). Puedes disfrutar de las instalaciones del hotel el faro, lo que hace que la experiencia sea aún mejor. Los empleados del hotel son muy atentos y amables

La habitación era muy limpia, la terraza era muy espaciosa y la vista del océano era absolutamente hermosa. El personal era muy amable y útil, y aunque algo no funcionara bien, siempre estaban dispuestos a ayudar rápidamente y con una actitud positiva. El hotel está situado a unos 20 minutos de altura, por lo que puede ser un poco difícil llegar allí. En general, recomiendamos muy bien este hotel y definitivamente se quedaría allí de nuevo!

The front of the hotel can be misleading, as the hotel is actually quite nice. The rooms are pretty good. The pool area is large and well designed, and have a bar right there. A lot of the rooms have view to the pool. The tennis/basketball/indoor soccer field is great, with roof. They have pool tables, table tennis and foosball. The restaurant is 24/7, which comes in very handy, and also adds the advantageof not being tied to a specific schedule for the free breakfast that's included. Parking can be a little confusing at first, but it's actually close to the rooms (I would improve it by addign signs on the road indicating how to get to the parking lot).

Cabinas Jacomar is a budget-friendly place located right in the heart of Jacó, just a short walk from the beach. The rooms are basic but clean, offering essentials like air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. The staff are friendly and helpful, making guests feel welcome. Its central location is convenient for exploring Jacó’s shops, restaurants, and nightlife. However, due to this, noise can be an issue, especially for light sleepers. Some rooms may have limited amenities such as inconsistent hot water. Overall, Cabinas Jacomar is a practical choice for travelers who want affordable, no-frills accommodation close to the beach and town center.

Otherwise amazing hotel plagued by rude staff and tour buses. First, this a hotel is used by Americans in bus tours - expect hundreds of them any given time. Second, the staff is incredibly rude. We had an issue with our keys and the reception employee, Ana Belen, refused to help us or even try to understand the issue. TV turned up by itself in the middle of the night. The toilet flush situation is terrible, there is simply no pressure. The good thing, hotel is nearby the Cloud Reserve, breakfast is good and pool looks good.

We came to hotel NYA for our honeymoon and were very impressed by the service! By far the best hotel stay we’ve had so far, the rooms were very clean, breakfast was delicious, and staff were very kind and helpful. Every day the staff delivered a little dessert to our room free of charge, and surprised us with a honeymoon gift of a bottle of champagne and a charcuterie board with warm fresh made bread and a handmade card. We highly recommend NYA for anyone staying in Montezuma!

Así que debo decir: este hotel me ha hecho mucho daño. No quería dejar el Mountain Top Park Hotel y realmente me ha gustado el último día. Primero, en la habitación: tenía una habitación con vistas al monte (creo que con vistas al mar cuesta más, pero no es necesario porque la vista a las montañas es realmente hermosa. ) Fue indescriptiblemente agradable despertar cada mañana con una mirada así. Durante mi estancia he visto también muchos pájaros como tucanos, albaricoques o papagayas Ara volar por las coronas de árboles. Como ustedes han leído, hay increíblemente muchos animales vivos en el gran hotel (el hotel está casi en un pedazo de bosque tropical). He visto más animales aquí que en el Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio como los machos o los machos (el último día descubrimos incluso un macho con un parto), sin duda, hace un viaje de mañana gratuito con guía. Es realmente maravilloso correr por los puentes de pendiente y mirar a los animales. El personal es SUPER. Las habitaciones son limpias y modernas (que son sólo un poco brillantes, pero no es problema con las escotillas). Así que en general, fue una estancia inolvidable y no me arrepiento de ningún centavo :) PS: Deje que conduzca con el golfcart de la recepción al hotel, es demasiado difícil caminar.
