Local stuff esp for CNY festive shopping is good, lots to buy, eat & drink. Food plenty everywhere & all just downstairs walking distance. Crowded means very successful business for this hotel, congested but ok - acceptable. Overall its value for money for 2 nites staycation. Gym & Swimming pool facilities ok.

The hotel’s location is good. Just opposite KSL mall and not so busy. Below the hotel, there are restaurants- Korean, Dim Sum, Dessert, Kopitiam and Cafe. The interior of the hotel is quite old with a blend of old and modern furniture. Overall, the room is clean although we didn’t like the adjoining door in the middle.

The room with 2 queen size beds was great for a family of 4, with enough space for luggage as well. Location was convenient with multiple convenient stores and eateries nearby. The separated toilet and shower area was helpful in keeping things dry. Check in process was smooth, although they only accepted rm50 deposit in CASH. We came on a Saturday evening, so parking was a bit problematic - hopefully the hotel can have more assigned parking for the guests. Otherwise, we had a generally good stay here.

Breakfast at Oliva cafe was great. But on the 2nd morning which coincides with Xmas day, the service was not too great. Too a while to replenish food 😅 might be due to lack of staff? I don't know. The best point is the location, near (walking distance) to mid valley south key mall but not the same pricey tag to st Giles. Room is clean and functional. I like that I can control the thermostat

Spacious room and great value for money. Great location too. All is good if you're not a picky person. Wardrobe furniture is a little bit run down. Indoor Swimming pool is big and spacious. Buffet breakfast is great. For the price I have no complaints and will come again.

Okay, Fives is definitely not a five-star hotel, but honestly, the location, price, and staff more than make up for it. Pros: Price is shiok — especially if you book a few weeks in advance. Your wallet confirm happy. Location solid — Yes, it’s a few hundred metres further than the big-name hotels, but still right opposite Komtar JBCC. Just cross the road and you’re there lor. Staff all very steady — Always cheerful and polite. Stayed here more than three times already, and every time feels like coming home (minus the nagging from mum). Facilities okay one — No pool, but got a big, comfy lobby where you can nua while waiting for your Grab. Best part? Got a huge convenience store inside the lobby that opens till 2am. Supper crisis solved lah. Cons: No pool lor. So if you wanna float around in a bikini, go somewhere else. Never tried the breakfast spread, so cannot comment. Maybe nice, maybe meh. Other notes: Rooms are small-small one, and while they look clean, maybe don’t go CSI mode and inspect too closely. Not a dealbreaker though — just manage your expectations. Verdict: If you’re in JB for one or two nights, and you just want a good location, great price, and no-frills stay, this one is perfect.

We’ve stayed here previously but this is the worst 2-nights stay in the old wing of Grand Paragon! The housekeeping staff did not clean the dusty fabric headboard which I had to do so with it’s layers of dust. There were missing glass tumbler, slippers, tissue paper & the safe-box was locked, too.  The shower curtains were too short so water tends to spill out. We were given 1 extra pillow when we requested for extra 2 pillows as it was too flat. Their excuse was that it was the hotel’s policy even though the hotel was half empty! Housekeeping did not clean our room even with the Clean-up sign on our door on the 2nd day. Reception was informed of it in the evening when we came back to our room. They had the audacity to say that we were going to check-out the next day (3rd day), anyway! We had 2 full dust-bin of rubbish, no shampoo, bath gel, bath towels, hand towels, wc paper, etc & we desperately needed to take a shower. Eventually Housekeeping brought the items & meekly apologise that he was the Evening Shift staff. We understood his situation, thank & tip him for his assistance. The next day, we tried the gym. It’s windows had dust streaks & were very dirty, too. Some of the exercising seats were cracked & uncomfortable. Breakfast was nice at the cafe with freshly ground coffee, Nasi lemak, noodles & fresh bread. Avoid the ones in the coffee/tea pots as it’s diluted and tasted unfresh. The staff were quite friendly. Stay here, if you can over-look this dirty environment.

This is my third time staying here, and I’m still satisfied with the service provided. The only downside this time was that the room didn’t have a safety deposit box, and it was located on the first floor in the middle section, so it was quite noisy due to traffic and people hanging out by the roadside. If you want a quieter room, request one on the 2nd–3rd floor at the end of the wing.

Este lugar superó todas nuestras expectativas y somos viajeros ávidos. Todo comenzó con el más cálido saludo cuando entramos por las puertas y la oferta de galletas recién calientes en el check-in, la velocidad fue excelente, las tripulaciones fueron amables y siempre listas para ayudar. La habitación es básica pero tiene todo lo que necesitas, canales de televisión en abundancia, botellas de agua listas, excelente ducha y comodidades, etc. Si pudiera elegir algo, serían los pequeños ruidos de las tuberías por la noche, el aire acondicionado que podría haber estado bloqueado. mejor, pero en serio no tan malo. La cama es cómoda, la habitación está limpia y el espacio es suficiente. Muy cerca de lugares, fácil de conseguir coches. ¡Definitivamente regresaré!

Had a 1 night stay. Counter staff check in and checkout was fast and polite. Location is great alot eateries just downstairs. Free parking for hotel guest, just need to validate ur tng card before exit. Theres a minimart within the hotel that opens till midnight. Spacious room, with in room water dispenser (hot and normal temperature). Toliet needs some improvement, theres some rusty and stained shelving under the basin. Shower area supposed to have a transparent glass but its now covered with white wrapping. Theres also a blind at the shower area, which i cant release up, seems like it is stucked. The blind is abit obstructive and has some mold. With this, makes the shower area dim and darker. Basin drainage seems choked the water drains very slow. The bath foam and shampoo smells really really good. Aircon is decent as well, love the smart tv! Overall, decent stay!
