The hotel was good, and both the receptionist were so helpful and had a good sense of humour. They were always ready to help., The only downside was we missed on goring in the pool as the Ph levels were high on the day we wanted to use. The breakfast was fresh and very good too

Decent location for one night stopover. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Room pretty basic but all okay for what we paid.
Downfall was the noise early morning, being woken to trucks beeping and reversing at 7am on a Sunday isn't my idea of a good night's sleep (which is all we really needed, this was the followed by trolleys clanking and banging, so think this is a real downfall to what should have been a nice little stopover.
I advised the receptionist and she said it was the deliveries....which I understand are needed ....but not 7am on Sunday surely and if so some more thought for those sleeping.
Sadly this affected my overall rating as really you pay to have a good sleep but I didn't get that.

Stayed here for a 50th birthday celebration locally and so glad we did, the room was wonderfully located with beautiful views over Dale-End park and the river Severn.
It was booked room only due to commitments so couldn’t comment on the food but the staff were very friendly and helpful and would highly recommend this hotel.

¿Dónde comenzar con esto?
La primera vez que me pidió que cancelara, ya que estaba a punto de bajar con los síntomas de la COVID, Ramada Telford no parece estar en lo cierto, así que esa solicitud fue negada (no hay oferta de otra estancia, o reembolso parcial, nada).
En el check-in (y en el sitio web, foto acompañada) no me dijeron nada sobre la piscina que estaba fuera de servicio. Se da cuenta que era. No hay oferta de una devolución total o parcial. Nada. Afortunadamente, el viaje ha entrado con un buen gesto de voluntad.
Hablar con algunas personas (enumeradas a continuación) por correo electrónico y basicamente decir ”no pueden hacer nada” y ”es culpa del viaje” que el sitio web no refleja que su piscina había sido desactivada desde diciembre.

Me alojé aquí con otras dos personas por 2 noches para asistir a un evento. Fue perfecto para nuestras necesidades. Habitación muy bonita que estaba excepcionalmente limpia y una fantástica ducha a ras de suelo. Tener mucho estacionamiento y estar cerca de muchas tiendas y restaurantes fue muy útil. Fue muy fácil caminar a los lugares donde necesitaba estar. ¡El desayuno era bueno! Nada excepcional, pero la selección continental cumplió su cometido y, a pesar de la limitada comida caliente, aún pude prepararme unos buenos sándwiches de tocino. Todo el personal fue muy amable y servicial. Muy asequible y sin duda me alojaría aquí de nuevo!

UUsuario invitadoThis hotel was located just off the motorway, and fairly easy to find. Upon arrival/check in we were informed of our room number and given our key card, however no information was provided. ie (check out times, breakfast times, any of the bar/restaurant details, pool/fitness centre details. We had to go back and forth to reception through out to get the information we needed. Fortunately the staff were friendly and welcoming which made easy to approach them.
Room was nice, bit cramped even for a king privilege room. Not much space to walk, too many unnecessary chairs. Room and bathroom was clean. Mini fridge was nicely stocked up with water and soft drinks for free. TV in the room was a smart tv, allowed us to watch Netflix via screen mirroring which was excellent. Bed was comfortable with multiple pillow options. Sockets and USB charging points on both sides of the room, great for charging multiple devices. Full length mirror and cupboard space to hang up clothes. Nice gown and slippers presented neatly on the bed.
We did visit the pool facilities on multiple occasions during our stay. It was just a medium size. With a separate jacuzzi and steam room and sauna. Pool water was nice temperature, slightly warm which felt really nice. Lighting in the pool area was poor, quite dimly lit. Lockers in changing area needs a padlock, as we didn’t know we didn’t take out. Some chairs are available on the pool side which we were able to put out things.
Dining room was nicely laid out with ample space to move around. Breakfast had multiple options including vegetarian options available on request. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Overall a pleasant stay. Would recommend it.

We had a fantastic stay at the Lowfield Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our family room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with plenty of room to relax, including a sofa. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep in a quiet and peaceful setting.
The inn features a lovely common area and a roof terrace with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The scenery is stunning and perfect for enjoying long walks along the border between England and Wales.
The pub itself is a true highlight—offering a great selection of traditional cask ales and a very welcoming beer garden where you can enjoy the evening sun. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff are genuinely helpful and accommodating. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as pencils and paper provided for children.
As for the food: it was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The menu offers a wonderful mix of traditional English pub fare and Indian dishes, all prepared with creativity and care. The starters were delicious, the mains were generous and satisfying, and the desserts were absolutely indulgent. The children’s menu was also well thought out and very appealing. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide selection and very generous portions—no one left hungry!
There’s also plenty of parking space, which made everything even easier.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return the next time we’re in the area.

Positives - All staff friendly and helpful, nice location, if you can book a deluxe room so you get a first floor room with outside table and chairs and view of the golf course. Treatment and spa facilities were good though there are no jaqoozi.
Negativos - Organización, tuve un día de spa y un almuerzo, no se explicó dónde estaba el almuerzo o qué estaba incluido, tuve que hacer todas las preguntas. No me dijeron el límite de 15 libras para almorzar, así que pasé y luego esperaban que pagara la diferencia, pero acordaron que era injusto. Her proactive communication and all the useful information she shared made us feel confident we were in for a lovely stay and we truly were. She greeted us on a rainy day with a big smile that instantly made us feel at home.The house is beautifully set among rare farmlands, offering peace and scenic charm. Our room, which had a private balcony, gave us stunning countryside views. Having binoculars provided in the room was such a thoughtful touch we loved watching the birds while relaxing outside.The place itself is full of delightful details board games both in the room and the lobby, Sky and Netflix for cozy evenings, and a nice selection of snacks and small bites available.Breakfast was served with a view, and it was excellent fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. My wife and I truly enjoyed every part of our stay, and we will definitely be coming back.

YYuanWe stayed in the hotel for 2 nights as we come to visit friends in Shrewsbury. Hotel is near ring road, so some distance from the town centre but this is not a problem for us we have the use of car. It paid just £70 a night for two with breakfast included, which is great value for money.
The room is quite spacious. We particularly like the shower. There is a little bench inside the cubicle, which is super handy. The water pressure can Make England Great Again. The hot water temperature was fantastic as well.
I found the bed decent although I have stayed in some other hotels with better bed. Somehow I felt it was not as wide as I liked. The mattress was okay and I had reasonably good sleep for both nights.
The breakfast was about average. But given the cost I have no complaints whatsoever.

RReediWe booked for the Shrewsbury School speech day and leavers ball so the whole town was fully booked. Thankfully there was a suite available at my favourite local hotel. We needed a room for 3 and the hotel staff were super helpful in accommodating our needs. It’s family owned and the culture of care is pervasive. It’s a hotel where the staff like to say yes. Not to mention the character of the hotel itself. It’s a mixture of 12th, 15th and 17th century architecture forming an elaborate maze of rooms covering the block. The Matthews family have truly created a 5 star hotel experience. I was even offered a glass of sherry by the night watchman when I checked in on once at 1am. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

UUsuario invitadoIn general the hotel was really nice however I would say the hotel should invest in soft closing doors on the rooms and on the wardrobes. Both me and my partner had 2 nights at the hotel and had poor sleep both nights due to how loud the room doors are when being closed. The room was nice and the food in the restaurant was excellent but I likely wouldn’t stay here again due to how loud it was and how poor sleep quality I had.
