City Trip Hostels Zaandam-Amsterdam

Nice and clean in the pods and common areas. Kind staff: Lau and Patrick were extremely helpfull and kind, and we were shown to our pods and so on:) The location was very good and close to public transport in Zaandam! Takes about 10 minutes or less to walk to the station. The surroundings are very nice and clean, and the hostel is placed in a big shopping area.

Pros : clean, great common space, nice big kitchen, locker is big and easy to use, love the cube compartements (bed). Cons : you hear the beat from the ****** or pub at night (put earplugs ) and no security so technicaly, anyone can come in your room (make sure to leave everything in locker) Neutral : Hostel is in Zaandam, not Amsterdam, but a 20 min train ride. Not a problem at all since public transit in this country is 10/10 Had a nice time chatting with some people, I would recommend !

I really enjoyed my trip in Amsterdam and this hostel was a great place to stay while spending time here. It has great facilities that are always very clean and is located very well also the staff here are very easy to communicate with and very helpful a big thanks to Patrick, Lau, Franz, Hannah, Santiago, Andrei and Juan

the place is clean, people are friendly, best experience in a hostel I’ve ever had. the other residents are also considerate, clearing the path for easy exit and entrance. overall, it was a positive experience that shaped a great impression of Zaandam.

One of the best hostel I’ve ever stayed. The staff is super friendly. There is a person who cleans frequently the common areas and the rooms. Even you share the room with other people, you have a lot of privacy. The lockers are big so you have enough space to storage your belongings.

the experience was better than i expected, the bed was large and has a very useful light, i felt very comfortable in the bed, the showers could be more clean but the staff, like santiago, was very kind, he was always there if i need something, thanks

You step in the front door, it's like like stepping into the lobby of a derelict hotel. No clue you're in a hostel. Then upstairs at reception looks great and modern, big and spacious seating area, guest kitchen where I met the staff member who i found quite overbearing who showed me around. However the door into each dorm does not lock. I was assigned a higher locker. My suitcase was too heavy for me to lift it in so I just had to leave it exposed in the room knowing everyone in the hostel could access it. Going to bed (and you hear everything out on the street) I was on a top bunk, and as I was climbing up, the handrail I could see was already loose ripped off the chipboard panel it was screwed into and falling off the ladder hurting my ankle. I finally managed to get to sleep several hours later a staff member intentionally wakes me up by pulling my bedclothes to find out what happened with the rail and with no word of concern or asking if I was ok. PS I've added a couple of photos of the holes the rail came out of.

BAD EXPERIENCE OVER ALL! NOT SAFE The staff aren’t friendly or welcoming, One of the stuff stole my belongings and when I asked the manager I got yelled at The location and facility are perfect Some of the travellers was complaining also about the rudeness of the manager and that he was ****** toward him… People get locked out after 1am and when you call them or ring the bell they let you wait for long periods I will never go again or advise anyone to go. Thanks
