Customer service is hit and miss. My experience with the reception, luggage and cleaning staff were lovely. They are unfortunately let down by the very young staff in the main restaurant who spend a lot of their time standing around talking and seem troubled by you when you ask them for anything and the lifeguards who spent majority of their time while on duty on their mobile phones which was a little worrying. It's a really shame as you can see that some staff members are doing the heavy lifting for others. I feel that even a simple 'enjoy' or 'hello' would go a long way to improve the service, but it's very challenging when staff just appear to be very unhappy with being there. My experience with the food was not so good, after having an upset tummy on day 3 and for the remainder of the trip and on returning to the UK, after some days I am finally getting better. This does raise some concerns about the food hygiene standards followed. For this, I have raised a complaint with the booking agent. If you are someone who can see past these things, then the hotel is an okay stay, the room size is good, food variety was good and they have decent facilities like the gym, hairdressers and doctors onsite. However in my experience during my short stay, I felt it was a 2* experience. To help out others as I could not easily find this information online, the WiFi is only free in common areas and chargeable at £15 a week for your room. I was aware of this ahead of arriving and so I was okay with this.
