we spent the last three nights from our vacation in zanzibar in this lovely hotel and were impressed generally by the exceptional service, we got 5 star reception upon arrival ,made us feel quite at home, the smiles and courtesy of the staff, the general ambiance and general outline of the hotel,the rooms which we had booked were sea view and had a spectacular touch to it quite genuine African not too shouty but makes one feel entirely at home with a nice African and local zanzibari touch to it , the hotel itself is authentic and has quite a history as i got to learn from the front office manager samuel and team and holds a lot of memorabilia that touches on its authenticity and makes it quite remarkable, the restaurant is classy with an African finesse and Joe and team are always taking good care of everyone,touching on the needs and restrictions that we highlighted upon check-in the hotel had a conference ongoing but we could feel the warmth and hospitality everyone was getting by the appreciative faces that surrounded the environs,it was quite an experience i was also met by the GM Farid who was more than welcoming and i assured him that this will not be the last time i visit such a lovely place and will definitely recommend

Estuvo bien

La habitación era muy confortable, el hotel estaba limpio, la cama estaba muy cómoda, la conexión Wi-Fi estaba bien, el desayuno buffet era bueno, iam un vegetariano así que tenían una buena variedad de platos vegetarianos del menú del restaurante, General, me disfruté de mi estancia en el hotel.

El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, y me quedé en la habitación 101 (Sala Real con vistas al mar) que es una de las mejores y más grandes habitaciones de este hotel. Desafortunadamente, it’s appeared that there is no quality control in the rooms especially this room mainly bathroom, in the shower area there is no place to keep a soap (no soap holder), La casa de baño es muy agradable y se puede encontrar en el hotel, pero no es fácil. (ver las fotos) mi esposa y yo se sientan muy irritantes usandolas. En la noche, el aire acondicionado se refrescaba otro pesadilla (no tuvimos un buen sueño) una pequeña AC que cubría toda la zona de esta gran habitación, además de que no puede reducir la temperatura de AC por debajo del 20% C. (en la cama estaba demasiado caliente, Si estos tres puntos negativos pueden mejorarse, tengo en cuenta que este hotel boutique puede ser excelente

I traveled to Zanzibar after climbing Kilimanjaro this past July and decided to stay at The Seyyida. I had originally booked this trip for 2020 but we all know how that story ended…The staff at The Seyyida were generous enough to move my booking to 2021, andddd then again to 2022 when my trekking group postponed the trip a second time (still due to Covid). The hotel itself is beautiful. I had a room with a ocean view and I felt like royalty. The bed was HUGE, the bathroom lovely, and the balcony (albeit small) offered a *STUNNING* view. They offer to spray mosquito repellent every night and, although I do highly recommend taking them up on this offer, it does have quite a lingering smell. So plan to be out of your room for dinner or a tour for a couple of hours. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful and offers an amazing view of the city and ocean. The hotel staff was nothing short of amazing. When my hair dryer broke, they found me another. When I needed more towels, they brought me them immediately. When my driver never showed up for a a tour I had booked, they arranged for a new tour and a driver was there in 5min. They mailed a postcard for me when I asked where the bearer post office was! They let me leave my suitcases there after I checked out because my ferry wasn’t until the afternoon—and they even helped me carry my *very* large duffel (from climbing the mountain) all the way to the ferry!!! I also had an amazing massage here on a rainy day when I wasn’t sure what to fill my day with. The front lobby is unreachable by car, but it is perfectly located, and quick/easy by foot to meet a driver on the road. Within walking distance of so much. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked lovely as well. It’s not very big, but big enough to sit and relax. Cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful front desk workers (and all other staff) and this beautiful place.
