Barclay Court Guest House

The room was beautiful, modern very comfortable, fresh. Slept very well nice comfortable bed. Really enjoyed the biscuits in the room. Breakfast was just enough for us especially with the toast, yogurts and juices. Very peaceful and relaxing, the views from the window was amazing especially looking into the garden. Felicity and Paul were very hospitable, nothing was too much for them.

What a great find! Felicity and Paul warmly welcomed us to their lovely guest house and were very informative on 'things to do and see'. Our room with a view was very quiet and comfortable and even included a separate small room for our daughter. Each morning we were treated to a generous tasty breakfast which was most welcome before we set off on our adventures for the day.

The room had plenty of space and very comfortable. Such a warm, welcoming place and Paul and felicity that run the house are friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Highly recommended The Barclay Guest House

Fantastic break the hospitality and food are first rate. I love torquay and the barclay court. So friendly welcoming b and b friendly kind and very clean. Nice location felicity and Paul are brilliant very helpful. Fantastic location fantasticly run. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

Clean cozy accomodation owned by an amazing couple. Breakfast was delicious and customized so everybody got what they wanted and no food was wasted. I can't appreciate this wonderful experience enough.

A fantastic find for a weekend away at the seaside. Paul and Felicity are wonderful hosts and made us feel extremely welcome. They have a wealth of local info and travel advice too. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed for a weekend away with a teenager… she had her own single room attached to ours with en-suite too. The breakfast was fabulous and set us up for the day! We will definitely be staying again 😊

I spent 3 enjoyable (B&B) nights at Barclay Court for a weekend business trip. Proprietors Felicity & Paul are most amiable & helpful. Rooms are spotless with comfortable bed and a good shower. Kettle and condiments also in the room. Interesting view of houses climbing up the hill opposite. Dining Room looks out over garden and onto the residential housing on the opposite hill. Off-street parking and free W-iFi are a bonus. Breakfasts are very good including the full "English". Only drawback is the walk up the steep hilly bits from the sea front - about 25 minutes, but easily "do-able". Will definitely be coming back when the opportunity arises.

We have stayed here a few times but did not realise there were new owners. Clean and comfortable accommodation including the bed. Set is residential area. There is a step hill down to town centre or when the shopping centre is open you can use the lift. Breakfast options include cereal, toast (help yourself), yoghurts, fruit and cooked breakfast to order. We had superior room, large shower (bath available), tea/coffee facilities in room. Hairdryer provided. Felicity and Paul are doing a great job running Barclay Court. Hope to see you again in 2024.

Very pleased with the accommodation it was clean, comfortable and well maintained by Felicity and Paul. We booked the superior triple room with ensuite, meaning our 13 Yr old son had his own room, own TV, accessible from our room. A very well planned out accommodation complete with a shared terrace to sit out on. Welcoming hosts who are keen to please, cooked a tasty breakfast but not overly generous with the portion sizes, to be fair it was adequate with the help yourself cereals, yogurts, and toast etc. The approx 20min walk to the harbour was past unpleasant surroundings and very hilly. 30+ steps to descend, or make use of the lift in the closest multistorey car park. Otherwise the actual B&B was excellent and the private parking was a saviour in what is a busy built up hilly area. If we could have picked up this B&B and moved it to a better, cleaner, nicer location it would then be perfect.
