Tavistock House Hotel

We were warmly greeted by Bradley, the owner, who kindly helped us with our luggage. Our room was extremely tastefully furnished, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with freshly brewed coffee, fresh fruit salad, croissants etc etc. Altogether, a most enjoyable stay. We will definitely be returning.

Brad, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly. He couldn't do enough to help. After I accidentally left my phone charger in the room, he posted it back to me promptly. He gave us tips on places to visit and where to eat in Tavistock. The room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Stand outs were the Nespresso coffee machine, the softest bed linen, very effective black out blinds, super comfortable mattress and fluffy towels. Breakfast was delicious. The homemade granola was a nice touch, as was the egg station for boiling your own eggs. We would definitely return.

This hotel is as near perfect as you can get. Everything is spotlessly clean, everything you need is there, including things you didn't know you needed! Brad is a perfect host with his natural warm, friendly charm, effortlessly making you feel comfortable but never imposing himself. I don't normally stay in hotels but if I do they're usually larger one's where I can lose myself and go unnoticed. This hotel is different. It is small, quiet and friendly and rather nice to be seen by the other guests and the hosts as everyone seems to feel comfortable and relaxed. Reasonably priced, too. I won't have any hesitation in booking this hotel again.

Tavistock House Hotel effectively leverages its small size and modern design to favourably distinguish itself from larger hotels charging similar prices. Brad is a friendly and cheerful host, and the room itself is comfortable and well-stocked with amenities - a great place to return to each evening. I was initially worried about the continental-only breakfast, but actually didn't miss the cooked fare at all. The produce on offer is varied enough to be interesting, and all of a decent quality.

I spent 3 nights at the hotel as a base for work. From the moment I walked in the front gate, I felt a sense of warmth! The hotel is spotless from the front garden, hall, and throughout. I was met by Brad the owner, he was the perfect host and very approachable. The room was beautiful, the bathroom spotless and the bed was very comfortable (I travel a lot for work and always worry if I will have a good night's sleep) Breakfast was perfect for me as I prefer the healthier options to cooked. Plenty of places to eat in the evening, a 10mins walk to the centre When field-based for work you can't wait to get home and sleep in your own bed - this was not the case with the Tavistock, I am looking forward to my next visit

Our third stay at this lovely hotel. A perfect place to rest, recoup and explore the beautiful countryside. Brad and Gill are so welcoming, friendly and hospitable and the whole atmosphere of the hotel is one of comfort and kindness. The room we stayed in is very comfortable, with armchairs to sit in for afternoon tea. The bathroom is super luxurious with the best rain head shower going!

First impression superb. Met by Bradley the owner, briefed on the hotel, and shown to our room (No. 2). First impression of the room was cleanliness. The bed was unbelievably comfortable (having got a slightly dodgy back) and the sheets were high quality cotton; the shower was sparkling and efficient, and the room accoutrements were all beautifully presented. The breakfast was varied, healthy and wonderfully presented. If you want a good value, top-end hotel/B&B in Tavistock, where cleanliness and the highest standards of hospitality are displayed, this is clearly an obvious location.

I had a wonderful stay. This boutique hotel feels like modern luxury. I was greeted on arrival, helped with my luggage and even had my room upgraded. I was made to feel safe and at home which is hugely important to me when traveling alone. I was given advice on local eateries for dinner and the location of the hotel is perfect just a few minutes walk into town. The furnishings are gorgeous and I had an excellent nights sleep, the bed is so comfy. In the morning I was greeted again and had help with my luggage. The owner kindly allowed me to keep my car in the car park whilst I attended a few appointments in town. Overall I had an amazing stay and I would stay here again for sure, and definitely recommend!

Brad was a brilliant host & helped me have a really lovely stay. The hotel is a very short walk from the town centre & has all the features you could want. Would highly recommend.
