Cascades Lakefront Motel

"Situated right by the lake, easy access to the lake for a nice walk. We were given an upgrade to a larger room with upstairs and a courtyard. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Little kitchenette was functional well. Overall was a nice stay at the motel."

Sacred Waters Taupo

"Superesperado, recomendado"

The Point Villas

Lakefront Lodge Taupo

"The room, costing over a thousand dollars a night, was like a 7 Days Inn in China—pitifully small, with no kitchenware for cooking, just a kettle. New Zealand hotels generally check out at 10 am. We took our luggage to the car around 9 am to go for a walk by the lake, without even handing the room key to the front desk, thinking we'd check out after our walk. The hotel was right by the lake, just across the road. We returned around 9:50 pm to check if we'd left anything behind, only to find the room already cleaned! I was speechless—we hadn't even checked out yet!"

The Reef Resort

"El hotel está muy bien situado en el lago Taupo, y el personal está muy amigable y muy útil."

Colonial Lodge Motel

"This motel is in a great location across from the swimming part of Lake Taupo and handy to town. Unfortunately we arrived in the middle of the Ironman Challenge race early March 2025 but finally managed to get to the accommodation. Staff friendly. Parking was quite narrow, we have a small car and had trouble getting in and out. The bathroom was very outdated, could do with a renovation and get rid of the horrible spa bath and rearrange the rest of the bathroom. The bathroom looked quite tired. Light switches also need replacing and also a shortage of power points, there were 3 above the kitchen bench but 2 were quite high up. More power points round the room would be good. Most of the power points were behind the beds so therefore hard to get to to charge devices. The microwave was also too high, we are shorter so hard to reach to use. I thought this motel is a bit overpriced for what was on offer. Main good thing is location and nice staff."

Ashbrook Motel Taupo

"Así que tan claro, todo en el interior fue satisfecho, muy recomendado."

Cottage Mews Motel

"La cabaña está junto al lago, y se puede llegar fácilmente caminando. Las instalaciones son muy completas: refrigerador, estufa, tostadora... Hay un pequeño loft, que es muy agradable. El spa frente a la ventana es una idea audaz 😂"
