. Halekulani Okinawa is an outstanding resort that delivers exactly what you expect from the brand: impeccable service, exceptional comfort, and a deep sense of calm. The service is flawless—attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive. The rooms are extremely comfortable, beautifully designed, and perfectly suited for a slow, restorative stay. The surrounding nature is stunning, and the resort feels well integrated into its landscape, which adds a lot to the overall experience. We stayed in December, and despite it being winter, the atmosphere was still incredibly pleasant and charming. The main pool does not operate in winter, but honestly, it doesn’t feel like a drawback at all—there is so much more to the property than the pool. Breakfast deserves a special mention: it is excellent, with high-quality ingredients and great variety. I highly recommend trying breakfast in different restaurants during your stay, as each offers a slightly different experience. Overall, Halekulani Okinawa is a refined, serene, and beautifully executed resort. A perfect choice for those who value comfort, service, and atmosphere over loud entertainment—even in the winter season.

The check in was very easy, as was finding the location along of the villa on the beach. The condo/villa is absolutely stunning with a view of the ocean that cannot be beat. We appreciated the gorgeous sunsets, the pool and soaking tub on the 2nd floor balcony, and the outstanding views of the beach and island (Yojima) in the distance. The beds were some of the most comfortable we slept in while in Japan. We deeply appreciated the amenities - breakfast and food delivery (sausages, veggies, fresh bread, eggs and drinks) upon arrival, and found the layout of the house was fantastic for our family of 5. With two sleeping areas downstairs (kids), and an upstairs master bedroom (parents), we had MORE than enough space. One thing we would have liked about the location description online is an understanding that there is VERY little near by in terms of restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Depending on the weather, not much is walkable within 15-20 minutes. We ate at the Taco Rice restaurant, and walked 30 minutes to a local supermarket, and we drove the other places we needed to go. Also, the general impression we got from the website was that you can access the beach directly from the villa - sort of a, ”walk out to the sand” idea. You cannot. There is a 6-foot wall that separates the bottom floor of the villa with the actual beach area (needed for water level rising during storms, we get that :))... but there is no way down without jumping, nor a path to the beach (from our #3/C Villa, at least). We ended up jumping down the retaining wall using their small gate, walking around to a local business area that had a clear path, and accessing the beach that way. This was fine, don't get me wrong. Also, while the view is spectacular (and it really is), there is a TON of rebar from a former construction project (unfinished, we asked around) that sticks up out of the ocean at low, or extremely low tide (both of which we experienced while visiting - the extremely low tide happens each new/full moon, we were told). When this occurs, the beach stretches for 550 yards. We were able to ”walk and explore” (careful of course of the coral!), but for 1.5 days, we had a view of tons and tons of rebar sticking straight out of the sand, that stretched for 100s of yards in each direction. Again, this did not ruin anything, but it would be nice to know when booking a pricey room. I think the views are outstanding, given the timing you take the photo :) Overall, we would likely not stay again for the price, but it was a relaxing and splurge-y way to get that Okinawa sunset in at the end of long trip (5 weeks) in Japan. We are grateful for this adventure and my shared experience in this review is simply to help families understand more about the property. We traveled in mid-July. Thank you!

I had higher expectations for this stay and was a bit disappointed. Firstly, the location of the resort is not great, it’s on a loud highway which makes noise an issue but also makes it extremely difficult to navigate as you can’t turn right across the large highway. We treated ourselves to the buffet one morning and wish we didn’t, there was limited selections for food and the sashimi was far from fresh. We were given a table reservation card and once sat down with our food were asked to move by the staff so another guest could have our table? Very odd and once questioned the staff changed their tune and no longer wanted to move us - seemed the other guest was getting preferential treatment. Parking was also paid which was not clear on the initial listing. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was only cleaned on one day, beds were not even made and rubbish wasn’t taken out - very strange for a 5 star. We only realised staff had been in because toilet paper had been replenished. I was very excited for this stay and was a bit let down, views are nice though!

Totally enjoyed the stay. View from balcony and outdoor jaccuzzi was perfect. The many bath salts offered also added dimension to the jaccuzzi. Evening drinks coupled with live wind instruments was fun and relaxing too. Close enough walk to many restaurants nearby, a leisurely 10-20mins walk. They were also able to help make a dining reservation at a nearby restauant.

Hoshino Resorts es realmente muy bueno. Las habitaciones de este hotel son las más grandes de los hoteles japoneses en los que me he alojado. Hay pasillos y habitaciones, utensilios de cocina, lavadoras y terrazas. Desafortunadamente, vuelvo demasiado tarde todos los días, de lo contrario. Puedo intentar conseguir carne wagyu. También hay una piscina, pero está cerrada en invierno. La ubicación está muy cerca de Manzamo. Hay una parada de autobús frente al hotel, pero la ubicación es un poco remota. Aún así se recomienda conducir ya que hay estacionamiento gratuito disponible. 2 puntos que creo que se pueden mejorar: 1) La sala de fumadores está al lado del ascensor, por lo que siempre huele a humo cuando se espera el ascensor. 2) El agua caliente no está lo suficientemente caliente.

Habitación lujosa con todas las comodidades)) especialmente el baño con vista al mar!!! ¡Y un agradecimiento especial al personal! Cometí un error al reservar y elegí la habitación equivocada. ¡Quería uno con vista al mar! El administrador fue a la reunión y cambió todo sin pago adicional. Por la noche, la luz exterior da directamente en las ventanas, principalmente porque las cortinas son demasiado transparentes. Las ventajas también son obvias: la playa es preciosa, con la mejor arena de Onna Village. Las zonas comunes del hotel son estéticamente agradables, con plantas y flores bellamente dispuestas. La selección del desayuno es regular, pero el sabor es aceptable. Hay un puerto pesquero cerca y varios restaurantes justo afuera, que ofrecen una amplia variedad de comida deliciosa. Una excelente opción en Onna Village. Quienes no se preocupen por los hoteles más antiguos y consolidados deben tener cuidado, ya que tiene más de cincuenta años. Sin embargo, ¡está muy bien mantenido! Además, las habitaciones no tienen alfombra, así que hay menos polvo. En resumen, Enna Village es la mejor opción de alojamiento. Si prioriza la habitación y la decoración del hotel, puede elegir el de Montreal, al lado; el interior es mucho mejor, pero la playa es regular. Si prioriza la calidad de la habitación, elija Montreal; si prioriza la playa, elija este lugar.

Más que la idea de la actualización de las instalaciones medias, además de playas privadas, para actualizar gratis en otoño, hay varias opciones de restaurantes para el desayuno del hotel, hay muchas clases de platos, una amplia variedad de actividades marítimas son adecuadas para una gran finidad, hay algunas zonas de excursión gratuitas que pueden ver diferentes criaturas marinas, ¡Los niños se divierten!

Las ventajas son un entorno agradable y su propia playa, aunque hizo algo de viento los primeros días. En general, la relación calidad-precio no fue buena; costó más de 5000 yuanes por tres noches, y eso sin incluir instalaciones como el gimnasio. El servicio fue deficiente, especialmente en recepción. Quizás debido a las barreras idiomáticas, se mostraron bastante impacientes. Además, atendieron a una persona japonesa antes de que se completara el registro, lo cual fue algo descortés. Reservamos una habitación con vistas al mar, pero la que nos asignaron tenía una vista ligeramente obstruida. En realidad, todas las habitaciones del hotel tienen vistas al mar; es solo cuestión de cuánto se obstruye la vista. La habitación era bastante antigua y tenía un ligero olor.

En línea con los estándares intercontinentales, como hotel resort, tiene una excelente ubicación, frente a Manzamo al otro lado del agua, y disfruta de un paisaje costero único. Aún no es temporada alta para los deportes acuáticos, por lo que algunas instalaciones están cerradas, pero puedes pasar la mayor parte del día paseando por la zona del hotel. El autobús gratuito puede circular entre la entrada principal y el vestíbulo, e incluso puedes tomar el autobús del aeropuerto hasta la central de autobuses frente a Onna Beach. En la mayoría de las ocasiones en el hotel puede encontrar personal de servicio que habla chino para comunicarse, pero para cenar se requieren reservas en línea, por lo que es necesario acostumbrarse.
